You guys might have heard of this, but you may have not. It's a keyboard app, sort of similar to the iPhone's keyboard, that learns your writing style from the words you frequently use when you text. If you guys want it, download it here. Enjoy!

We've been over this many times, brotha.
It's a great, great keyboard.
However, you're providing a link that isn't supposed to be out to non beta testers.
Read the license

There's the last SwiftKey thread. As was said by intx, you can't link to the download. It's a closed beta.
But, yes, it is a magnificent keyboard. I love the usage statistics. According to it, I've saved 403 keystrokes, making me 21% more efficient
Me = beta tester woohoo

How hard is it to get in the beta for this thing I signed up with the wife's and my hero and they don't like me apparently LOL. I really want to try this cause I'm not a huge swype fan.

I signed up about two weeks ago and got my first e-mail two days ago. They just send out e-mails every time they make a significant update, I think. I'm pretty sure they just send it out to everyone on the list. You'll just have to wait a while, but it is definitely worth the wait. It's (nearly) the best keyboard I've ever used.
Having launch problem at the moment, any help?
Hi,
This is a member of Viber's development team.
Can you please elaborate more on your issue?
What device you have?
Viber only partially supports MIUI but we might be able to help anyway.
Thanks,

When Viber will be supported in ICS ?
I'm currently running on an ICS MIUI.
I did launch the application and nothing is shown, but I believe the background service is still running as I could get viber contact list.
it is viber supposed to work on ICS?? or not yet?

Ahh... you're running MIUI on ICS.
We are aware of the problems with Viber on ICS, and working this very moment to fix it.
As you know, many fundamental changes were made on ICS (not only visual improvements). In order to adapt Viber to ICS the best way and make sure we don't release a half-baked app, we need some time for developing and testing.
We estimate that the release would take up to several weeks, but we wouldn't want to guarantee a specific release date at this stage.
Once we have any news we'll keep you posted - we apologize for the temporary inconvenience.
this makes me feel like reading a newspaper lol

Are you a politician ?
We're a company.
As much as we would have loved to develop everything as soon as possible and throw promises in the air, we also have to be realistic and a little restricted with guaranteeing things to our users, because we don't want them to be disappointed, nor do we want to not live up to our promises and estimates
It has nothing to do with being a politician... just credibility of a business

Ok.. So here's my question. I emailed your team and submitted a trouble ticket, as subsequently advised after my initial email, regarding the incompatibility with ICS. That was over six weeks ago. In fact the sdk for Android 4.0 has been out even longer than that! So what's the delay? Is there only one coder working on this? Why have Tango, Skype, Fring, et al, been able to release compatible apps before the Galaxy Nexus was even released.. Yet Viber can't..?
I'm asking a serious question, primarily because of how frustrating it is. I'm now stuck using an inferior product (Tango) as a stop-gap, and all I want is Viber to work with ICS already!

First, I want to agree with this guy, but then again viber does treat their product with care and quality work so that's why they are that much better. I'm holding off on Ics just because of viber so I understand your frustration. I don't want to use tango cuz it's not great.
2 things.
1) try using fring. It's much better than tango. Tango isn't good quality.
2) thank you for making a great app viber. We are anxious because we are waiting on you. I can only ask that you guys hurry haha.

Thanks for the suggestions. Fring is out of the question for me, as I choose not to support Israeli companies as part of the BDS movement. I guess I'll keep on waiting.

I wouldn't want to make any comparisons to other products. I can tell you about ourselves that traditionally, we've always preferred delaying releases until we're much more calm about its functionality and quality, rather than releasing it simply as soon as possible, so we are in line with all the other communication applications who released it since day 1.
This time we might have been a little under-prepared, that's true, but still it is important to note that Andriod 4.x user percentage among all Android users is still very, very low. If we were to follow the "usual" criteria for devoting resources within a company, you would see how that couldn't be our first priority.
However, we are working on it as hard as we can (with more than one coder! haha) and we should have good news soon. I'll keep you posted
It has been almost a month, care to give us some details on the progress?
Is viber going to be available to users of Android 4.x anytime soon?
it looks like they are still coding for the new system
@Casilan,
We have made some serious progress in the past couple of weeks, and the end is certainly in sight.
We still don't have an exact release dates, but we estimate it will take up to several weeks for it to be fully ready and released to Market.
Note that our development team is working around the clock to complete it ASAP. We apologize for the delay, but it's important to understand that it's delayed because we want to ensure that the app is released free of bugs. Stay tuned for news - it's coming soon.
There is hope for an update REAL SOON NOW:
http://blogs.sonymobile.com/2013/10...-series-kick-off-best-everyday-life-apps-more
Yes - I wonder when this will begin to roll out... Hopefully there's some good improvements but I'm happy with my SW2 as it is anyway
Updates are welcome ... i want regular updates and would be even happier if they listen to the community with regards to more watch faces etc
I'll post as soon as i notice an update.
My Current versions are:-
1.0.B.1.6/1.0.A.1.3
all i see in that post is performance improvement, now expecting any new watch faces though
Do I need to do anything special in order to connect the SW2 to computer? my pc doesn't recognize the USB....Is this through Sony PC Companion
i think that blog post was for the 1.0.B.1.6 update, which started rolling out on the 21st....

It looks like that project and alternative firmwares are currently meant only for the old Smartwatch 1.
Hopefully we'll see a similar development for the SW2.

Update?
Hey Guys,
Someone got further news to an Update for the SW2.
I realy miss features like:
knock to wake
more watchfaces
music widget
personal icon sort
Grz
i got this reply today, about the missing watch face that's on the box
(from Sony Webcare in the Netherlands)
"we expect this functionality soon in the next update, when this update will be rolled out i dare not say"
and in another message:
"i've saw the video, it seems only test samples had that watch face. i do expect this to be made available soon though"
i'll continue stalking them, adding one watch face doesn't solve the other issues
edit: also sent Sony webcare nl a tweet, the mail i sent though their support website never got answered either, but it was registered with a request number, maybe that will help as well

What is essential waiting on to release their factory images? Is it the lawsuit against them? Or have they decided to go back on their word please essential your device would be better if you did and your customers would be happier!
I think its the wrong Forum.
You must ask Essential or Andy Rubin himself.

At this rate, they will never be released. Phone has been out for 2 months and no ETA on factory images.

Yeah, I agree with you here. I have a slight feeling they might actually never get released. Additionally, leaving the consumer in the dark so blatantly is somewhat annoying.
But why have they a TUT how to unlock the bootloader?

You're going to get the same stock reply the rest of us have gotten. Something to the effect that they plan on releasing them, but don't have an ETA at this time. I harass them any time they tweet something. My reply is always, "image files, please".
I'm guessing images will come when they finish the next major update. Why release images for a build that will be replaced shortly after? A month ago in an AMA, they said they were almost done preparing for system images and that they were fast tracking the Oct. security patch update. What I take from that is they were prioritizing that update to get it out fast, which likely put other efforts behind. If the system images were almost ready for release, then perhaps they're just sitting on it for the time being.
If it were me, I'd wait on releasing old system images if newer builds were expected to be ready shortly after. Yes, I understand people may want to revert to an older build for one reason or another. But putting out old builds for users to use, flash, take apart, etc. only for a new one to come out shortly after is kind of wasting those users' time in some regards.
I have hope so i wait.
Number one reasons holding my purchase back on this phone. I want to see official root and TWRP released before buying.
If no development gonna start on this phone, I'll wait to see the official OnePlus 5t announcement, as I know that will have big XDA development.
Development is already happening.
Lineage is available, but not on xda yet. If you search the forum, you'll find what your looking for.

Here is my answer, that came really quick:
"Hi Criss,
Thank you for reaching out. Glad you are enjoying the phone!
We are developer friendly, and have started the process of uploading files to support building custom ROMs. We have recently released the kernel source to Essential.com/developer, and the factory images should be coming within the next few weeks. I don't have a confirmed date to provide at this point though.
Hope that helps. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Enjoy your day!

I Would like to upgrade from my Nexus 6 to PH-1 specially with all these price drops but without factory images anything goes wrong and you can't fastboot back to stock
I won't pull the trigger until they release it. I want root/TWRP/xposed working on this device
btw anybody knows if the dual boot thing similar to the Pixels is going to be a problem for xposed framework?

Nobody on XDA is an official Huawei developer, bug reports for the beta test are supposed to be reported to them through the beta test app that you should have installed on your device, not here on XDA. That's the whole idea of being a beta tester, find bugs and report them to Huawei. If that's not your cup of tea then leave the program and roll back to Nouget and wait on the official release

That is understandable, sorry if I sounded a little gruff in my response to your question, some of these threads are flooded with people that just don't get it, glad you could document some of the bugs. I'm running MHA-L29 8.0.0.321 (C567) which I presume is the same build you are a beta tester for, I haven't really noticed any "bugs" of any consequence. There are a few things that aren't working properly, like pip (doesn't work under EMUI, but does under my pixel 2 launcher I have installed), but it's pretty much useless anyway. Have you had any major issues with the Oreo build you are running as far as major functions go? I installed it mainly as I wanted the security update and the 4.4 kernel (a lot of code changes between 4.2 and 4.4)
