Can anyone please upload it to another site? This download site is horrible.
Tried to adb sideload, no success.
"Instalation Aborted"
My phone is also Retail.en.DE, stock rom, kernel and recovery. Only rooted.
Same here, copied to SD-Card, phone regognizes it and wants to install it. It reboots and then gives an error.
Moto G, German Retail, 8GB
What happens if you place the zip file in /cache/ - check for updates (or reboot, check for updates)?

Yes, running KitKat right now
I flashed the latest stock 4.3 DE firmware on my UK moto G without unlocking the bootloader from here with fastboot. It did not even wiped the data, then sideloaded the DE OTA. Everything is working fine
trying that as we speak..
EDIT: It worked! Maintained all my apps, but there are a couple of things that are still bugging me. Still have the carrier name on the notification bar and navbar doesnt get transparent (At least on APEX launcher, gonna try the stock one).
I wonder if there's a significant difference between US and DE/FR/UK KitKat ROMs?
Can anyone make a mirror, please
I am Uploading it to Dev-Host right now takes 40 min then i provide the link

Hello,
Today i tried to install the Update for my Moto G. But after the download i get an Error Message.
How can i fix that?( My phone is Unlocked and Rooted).
same problem.
after the update failed (in the log):
...systemui.apk has unexpected contents
i think i need the original systemui.apk
version 176.44.1 en.DE Retail
but have no backup
- Moto G 8GB / DE Retail / unlocked / Rooted / Xposed / Softkeyz -
I use SoftkeyZ too but i have the backup. German Version too.

Can it be that the update does not work on rooted phones?
On my rooted Moto it does not work unfortunately.
Why they say "Update available" if its not working?
Well with my buddy be the phone not rooted the update worked fine, so my guess
Do you have xposed installed or something like that? Or modified a System APK?
Busybox before a while. I did, however, completely uninstalled.
So my phone is only rootet
ok, I don't want to unroot my phone because I need to uninstall busybox and xposed so I don't make the Update.

I'd suggest if you are performing a STOCK OTA update then safest way is to get back to STOCK 4.4.2 ROM first via fastboot commands (Unrooted status) and perform the OTA update.

SOLUTION
Hi,
I solved my fail to update so wanted to share for others. I spent trying for 3 hrs...
my phone is rooted, Xposed framework, unlocked with code from Tesco UK, 16 gb 3G model, stock UK Tesco rom = no kernel changes!
1)You need to flash a 'stock recovery' BUT do NOT use the recovery.img from the tool called 'MOTOtools All in One' it will not work, but the tool is good for flashing without any coding.
Download the latest Stock ROM for your phone model, and extract the Recovery.img. Flash it using MotoTools (you have to be in fastboot, right after flashing you should not see any error message on the phone, go to recovery right after flashing (NO reboots!!).
You will see a droid with 'No command' message after a long black screen, let it be like that for a few mins or you can hold down power button to force a reboot. Now you are ready to update OTA!
Hit thanks if this solved your problem.
Cheers,

Verizon announced yesterday they have released the OTA update for 4.4.4 for the Verizon Moto G, 210.12.41.falcon_cdma.Verizon.en.US. I was wondering if anyone has captured the update yet as mine still says Software is up to date. Even tried the Framework Trick with no luck.

That 173.44.20.falcon_cdma.Verizon.en.US is the 4.4.2 Kit Kat currently installed on the G's. I am looking for the newer one. 210.12.41.falcon_cdma.Verizon.en.US which is the 4.4.4 update.

It was pulled from the /cache folder. If you put in /storage/sdcard0 you may also need to rename to update.zip

Yes please do. My wife's phone is wanting to update since Sunday night.
Seems to work just fine on Page Plus after the update, root works, and nothing has caught on fire yet. Edit: Tested data and calling, both seem to work fine.
Steps to update (this assumes your bootloader is already unlocked and you have cwm recovery installed):
Save the update zip and the cwm flashable supersu zip to your phone.
Boot into cwm recovery and do a backup (assuming you have space on /media/data for a backup.)
Reboot to bootloader.
Restore *just* your system partition to stock with fastboot (using: CFC-fastboot_falcon_verizon_user_4.4.2_KXB20.9-1.10-1.20_22_release-keys.xml.zip)
Boot into cwm again, apply the update zip, then immediately apply the supersu zip.
Boot up normally and let it do its update stuff, then go into titanium backup and kill off any of the verizon bloatware that you don't want.
If you want to get rid of the ugly "WARNING BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED IT WILL KILL YOUR FAMILY" boot logo, flash the logo.bin (fastboot flash logo logo.bin) in the attached zip file. It is just a simple hex edit of the logo address in the file header. I've included the original as logo.bin.bak so you can verify it against the original, and compare the two files if you want to see how it's done.

I think you can select "apply update from sdcard" in the recovery mode. No?
EDIT: You flashed to PagePlus. I missed that part. Sorry about that.
I was on a AOSP based rom.
So I flashed back to stock via CFC-fastboot_falcon_verizon_user_4.4.2_KXB20.9-1.10-1.20_22_release-keys.xml.
Booted up once to make sure the the flash went well.
Flashed CWM via bootloader. Tried TWRP first, did not work with the update.zip.
Renamed the zip above to update.zip and flashed via cwm. Worked fine. (yes the zip is 4.4.4)
Before rebooting, went ahead and flashed supersu.zip.
Then rebooted back to bootloader and flashed my preferred recovery, TWRP.
All seems well. This is on PagePlus.
Bout time we get 4.4.4. I'm also using Boost Moto G to Verizon/Page Plus. I will update when I have free time. Thanks for the info, guys.

It sounds like the 4.4.4 update is working fine...the only issue is that there doesn't seem to be a full stock 4.4.4 flash available (like we have for 4.4.2), and from what I can tell from posts (haven't tried this myself), you cannot reflash the full stock 4.4.2 after the 4.4.4 update since the bootloader and/or partitions have changed. There may be some workarounds, but those seem to be for other models or geographies as best I can tell. Once we have the full 4.4.4 flash, then at least you can always revert to that, but it doesn't appear to be released yet.
I've been keeping an eye out for the update OTA. I guess I'd rather just go down that path officially since my phones not rooted and had stock locked bootloader. Just wish it would hurry up and be pushed to my device.

Thanks for the instruction. Questions:
(1) My flashed page plus moto-g is on rooted stock rom (with unlocked bootloader of course). Do I still need to restore the system partition back to stock?
(2) What is "CFC-fastboot"? Do you mean
fastboot falcon_verizon_user_4.4.2_KXB20.9-1.10-1.20_22_release-keys.xml.zip
(i.e. no underscore between fastboot and falcon) ?
Thanks!
it's available on OTA now yay
Hi,
I got my Moto G 2015 XT1541 running with Android 5.1.1 official rom and TWRP Osprey 3.0.0 R2. I just got the official message to upgrade to Marshmallow, but when I to upgrade TWRP comes with the following error: Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
I've placed a full log here: recovery.log
I also tried installing an other OTA file - (2GB Retail EU OTA): Download - thanks to @Osid - from here, but got the same error.
Also, the official update is version 24.41.33.en.EU, and the above file 23.41.47 and is already on my phone, according to "About Phone".
Anyway: Can someone please help me to get past this error and update to the official 24.41.33.en.EU? I've read about changing an updater-script file in the zip if you have one, but this is a block.map.
Thanks allot!

Both update methods, as described above, fail. Method 1: using the phone's system updater, method 2: using the official(?) OTA upgrade files provided on this site.
But it looks like the OTA file is of a version I already have. See attachment.

Ok, I took the recovery.img from "XT1541_OSPREY_RETEU_2GB_5.1.1_LPI23.72-33_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml", my version was 23.72-47. Hope that doesn't really matter. But is was the only 2GB European ROM I could find here.
So I used fastboot to flash that and tried the system update again. At the beginning it looked hopeful; It was showing the Installing System Update with the progress bar, but then briefly the error icon and rebooted without making any changes.
If I need to re-lock and/or un-root to fix this, can it be don without wiping everything?
Thanks again!

Finally here's a capture of the Android 7.0 Nougat OTA zip for XT1572 EU:

Should be flashable via onboard recovery (same procedure as on other moto devices like g4, description here) or by sideloading via adb (see description below, thanks for acejavelin)
By the way, no special improvements, g4 stuff is missing (like clock widget or update of the moto app, so no one handed-mode )

This is a capture of the OTA ZIP file... it is NOT flashable in TWRP, to flash this you must be PURE STOCK on the XT1572 Style EU variant that is on on 6.0.1 now (not the EU devices on 6.0, that will be a different update).
You must be on MPHS24.107-58-13 now for this to apply, it will update your device to NPH25.200-15
If you have the correct device and firmware, and are completely stock, you can flash this in one of two ways.
ADB Sideload
1. Place the ZIP file in your adb/fastboot directory
2. Reboot to the bootloader and start (stock) recovery
3. At the "dead Andy" with a red exclamation, press POWER+VolUp to get to the stock recovery menu
4. Select "Apply update from ADB"
5. On computer, enter "adb sideload <filename>" but replace <filename> with the OTA ZIP image
6. Wait for the process to finish...
The second method I have never done... you need to copy it to the root of the SD card and in recovery select "Apply update from SD card". The file MAY need to be specific name or format, I don't know.

You can't... OP is incorrect about that piece of information.
This is STOCK, UNMODIFIED ota file, it is for devices on MPHS24.107-58-13 firmware version ONLY. It must be applied through stock recovery.
Thank you for your answer, i ll wait for a flashable version

You need to OTA update to that version, there is no flashable image for 58-13. It should be available in About Phone - System Updates... if not, it may not be available to you yet or something else could be stopping it.
Yep, my moto x style is pretty much a Frankenstein device. I bought from amazon france, then flashed a german stock image from prazaar. Now it never finds any OTAs. ;(

I'll try to wait until my phone notify the OTA. It's really hard but I'll try. In Italy everything is so long!

If you have the correct build there is no benefit to waiting.
Very annoyed, just reset my phone after running the Brazil update, which had it's issues. Now I cant update because my build fingerprint is wrong, and I cannot get an update to the correct build number.
How annoying. I guess I will just wait now
thanks for ota finally I have nougat, shame that lenovo added some crapy things like ugly lockscreen font and nfc icon in statusbar and ugly bootanimation with sound instead of new moto apps ;\
I got this OTA today morning.
Please find the attached screen shot for info.
Have nice flashing.
Instructions:
If you are from stock, there is no need to use this file. You can directly check for updates. Or you can copy this file into your internal storage and sideload it.
If you have root don't forget to revert to stock recovery and boot images.

Security Update February
Received February update this morning.
From India. Its just Security Update along with KRACK vulnerability issue fix.
I was hoping for Airtel Volte update this time. The OTA update (FSG and MCFG) is less than 50 Mb. The wait is endless.

Just pray to Moto guys for this, However, I dont think they are going to listen there customers. Lenovo has ruined MOTO brand.
This OTA build has the same md5 checksum, name and build as the update released in Brazil earlier https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75818341&postcount=38

u means its the same update on brasil and india?
Moto has the same update files everywhere. They will install the correct modem driver (depending of the phone original market).
Is anyone else having an issue where this update is prompting you to install the September 2017 update? It keeps bugging me to install it but if I try it just fails. (Obviously since this update released months ago)
EDIT: I'm in the USA btw

My device is rooted and after installing this update this cannot be done can u please tell me how to fix it

You'd likely have to revert back to the stock firmware if you wish to flash the OTA update. OTA updates will only install on devices with completely stock firmware - no TWRP, root, or ElementalX.
I've detailed how I've rolled back to stock here when I was on NPJS25.93-14-13 https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75820049&postcount=42 Afterwards, you can re-flash TWRP, ElementalX and your root manager to get root back.

If you are looking for the boot.img of NPJ25.93-14-13, find the attachment. Otherwise let me know.

I tried that and it did not work. I need the US version 14.7-3 or 14.7-5 boot image. I would think the 14-13 would have worked, since its just boot image. I was asking pastorbob62, because he has the XT1625 and thats the one I have.
deleted as someone asked the same thing

No, I am sorry, I don't have any boot image made before I rooted. I have been rooted for over 18 months and I have long since deleted any older backups to make room on my SD card. I do have 14-8, and 14-10 zip files But I don't believe they were for the XT1625.
All the Moto 4 Plus files are identical, regardless of the actual model. At installation time, the appropriate modem is configured in the system.
