Sony has just announced the Xperia Z1 Compact at CES 2014. Unlike most mini flagship variants, it features a specs sheet that doesn't compromise, and has almost identical specs to the Xperia Z1 flagship.

A closer look at the specs sheet, and you'll see Sony have managed to fit in the same CPU, camera, memory, and internal storage into a size that's truly compact:
Dimensions: 127 x 64.9 x 9.5 mm, 137g
Display: 4.3" Triluminous IPS display of 720p resolution, 341ppi
Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 800; quad-core Krait 400 at 2.2GHz, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM
OS: Android 4.3 Jelly Bean (planned upgrade to 4.4 KitKat shortly after launch)
Camera: 20.7 MP, Carl Zeiss optics, optical image stabilization, autofocus, LED flash, 2MP front-facing
Video camera: 1080p @ 30fps video capture with both cameras
Storage: 16GB built-in, microSD card slot with support of up to 64GB
Connectivity: NFC, A-GPS+GLONASS, WLAN (2.4/5Ghz) a/b/g/n/ac, microUSB 2.0 (MHL), BlueTooth 4.0 LE
Battery: 2,300 mAh
Misc: FM Radio, built-in accelerometer, multi-touch input, proximity sensor
Colors: Black, White, Pink, Lime, Yellow
The only thing that didn't make the cut is the display resolution, which has been cut down to 720p, and the battery, which has been reduced to 2300 mAh - the same as on the previous Xperia Z flagship. Luckily those seem to balance out just fine and the Xperia Z1 compact promises pretty good battery life.
The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact is expected to hit markets next month. Its pricing wasn't specified, but Sony confirmed it will slide between the Sony Xperia Z1 flagship and its Xperia Z predecessor.

Finally an ips screen! Well done Sony! I may be buyin' this one
brilliant! I'll buy it for sure
Nice phone, unlike other manufacturers it does not compromise on specs as OP mentions. But downside is that it is too expensive, just for a smaller screen, priced too close to Z1.
Seems to be to expensive for a 720p screen. But spec wise its powerful.

Lol. Adreno 300. XL has a better Adreno 305. Our current snapdragon s4 pro/plus(can't remember) is slightly better.

It is a concept phone.

For sure there would be a new gen Snapdragon 400 to be announced on CES 2014. Plus, if I remember it right, Sony ordered a 4.3" qHD AMOLED panel from AUO that got delayed for more than a year. If there would no longer be any more delays, I'd like to see it in the Xperia L1. With these, I'd like a 2300 mAh battery, smaller bezels and slimmer body but maintain the ergonomics, larger camera sensor but maintain it to 8 MP, better image processing algorithm, 4.4 on board, 1 GB RAM, at least 16 GB internal memory (for god's sake) with expandable memory up to 64 GB.

Not to bash on you or anything. The title says 'Concept Phone'. So it is just an idea.

Hahahaa,,Ok then
Xperia L1
People, you do get that it is just an idea. Sony did not announce this or anything. Someone thought of a concept that it is an upgraded version of the XL. But the XL is not a flagship device, it is a standalone device. This means there will never be any upgraded version of the L.
Hey all
Here is a thread to discuss the technical specifications of the Huawei Mediapad X2. This high-end tab was released in May of 2015, coming in two flavours, a 16 GB model with 2 GB of RAM, and a 32 GB, with 3 GB of RAM. Feel free to post why this devices hardware appealed more than another.

Memory expendable with SD/Card.
Wish it came in 64GB and had OIS for the camera like the P8MAX. Wish it had LTE capabilities in the USA (don't we all). Wish it had a removeable battery. But, otherwise, I LOVE this device because it has a great 7" display but is still a manageable size. And it has memory expandable with an sdcard. 5mp front camera - niiice. And, of course, a CPU that you certainly don't see on many devices...

The battery was the #1 reason I bought this. The #2 reason is the screen size.
Its missing fm tuner as well
Actually, the international version, GEM-702L (and thus probably 701L), comes with in-ear phones with FM-tuner which works perfect!
Exactly. Poor earphones and still its delivered with (with 702L at least)
I was expecting better quality ones (the blue ones huawei branded)
Can anyone tell me the exact hardware as well as software difference between z5 and z5 premium??!!
Specs wise, except for the screen size/resolution, battery (2,900mAh vs 3,430mAh) and back cover finish (Z5 is mate, Z5P is glossy), they're virtually identical.
Same SoC, same RAM (3 GB), same camera, same storage, same button placement, same loudspeakers, same radio chips, same LTE bands, etc.
Only software difference I can think of: The Z5P plays 4K video in 4K resolution, and switches back to render all the other stuff in 1080p
Ok,anything different about the internals

Yes I did, but I have a doubt regarding the dual pipes mechanism of z5 premium vs z5

Both the Z5 and Z5P use a dual heat pipe design. Not sure for the Z5C though, but I guess it uses the same design according to the reviews I've seen: it doesn't tend to overheat more than the Z5 or Z5P
Major differences:
Z5 Compact: 4.6" 720p screen, 2,700mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, plastic, mate glass finish (frosted), thicker than the Z5 ans Z5P
Z5: 5.2" 1080p screen, 2900mAh battery, 3GB of RAM, metal, mate glass finish (frosted)
Z5 Premium: 5.5" 4K screen, 3,430mAh battery, 3GB of RAM, metal, glossy glass finish (mirror)
The internals layout is certainly different between these 3 phones because of the size, but the cooling design (dual pipe) seems to be the same in all 3 devices
The Z5 Compact does seem to use a different cooling design according to this video:
Does waterproofing has anything to do with overheating
...what about nexus 6p and Microsoft 950xl, they use the same SD 810 processor
Thanks for the explanation...

Hi, how is the battery performance with the 4000mAh capacity, and how long will take for normal using without recharging?
Information is starting to come out about the upcoming OPPO Find X5 Pro. This flagship phone from OPPO is likely to be one of the biggest launches of the year. Shipping with ColorOS 12.1, this phone is going to come equipped with all of the latest features in the smartphone world. We are likely going to learn much more about this phone at the MWC 2022 event, but for now, we are already starting to see some information on specs and pricing.

The specs below are what we are currently expecting to see in this phone, but these are subject to change after the official launch.
Some leaks suggest that OPPO will be collaborating with Hasselblad on a camera with two Sony IMX766 sensors for the rear setup. This is going to be a fantastic phone for mobile photography, and the camera features included in ColorOS 12.1 should be able to take that experience to the next level. You will likely be able to configure your phone to have up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is on par with other flagships coming in 2022. Of course, everything will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which is one of the most exciting chipsets we have seen in a while. Expect to see a 120Hz display, to be paired with all of the top-notch processing power. We will know more information after the official launch on the 24th of February
OPPO Find X5 Pro Launch Event [02/24/2022].
The next big mystery is the price of this phone. There will likely be three available configurations for RAM and storage, meaning three different price points. Some have speculated that this phone will cost upwards of $1,200, but nothing is confirmed yet.
When it comes to availability, there is no information yet on pre-orders or general release dates. So keep an eye on XDA's coverage of this device, as more information becomes available.
Update: The OPPO Find X5 Pro has been officially launched! We now have a complete list of the confirmed specs.
