[Q] Stock ROM for GT-P100R - General Questions and Answers

I'm trying to return a GT-P100R to stock so I can get it properly rooted and accessible for ROM updates (its got some sort of messed up ROM on it now).
I did find this forum post about it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1365433
But all the links are broken, and since I can't reply to the actual post, I can't ask for the links to get updated.
(note, ever file location in other threads related to this device are also broken)
Does anyone know where the file for this device are located?

Need assistance from someone (anyone) who can download from XDA-Developers Please

Here's the deal. I'm trying to update Android on my Touch Pro 2 (this issue isn't TP2 specific, so don't stop here if you don't own one ) I cant boot into the build I just installed (It hangs on the "XDANDROID" screen) I think my problem is happening because I did not do a clean install. I figured it would work if I simply replaced the old files with the now ones from this thread now I'm at work and do not have the file available. My work has the downloads blocked from XDA Developers, so here's my question:
Can someone go download the zip/rar file in the first post of this thread and tell me which files are included in the zip or post a screen shot so I can delete all the extra stuff I have.
I'm also open to other helpful suggestions if you have any.
TIA

SM-T116bu Kernel?

I just bought a Samsung tab 3v then I successfully rooted it using this: ( www 4shared com/get/4sFqkNODba/ ) but after I did that I could no longer use the camera (error then force close) so I'm asking if anyone could help me with that please? I did few research they said it's something about the kernel so anyone could provide me with one for my phone?
Someone please help me with this? At least provide me with an already rooted rom.

have a look through these and see if you can find a kernel :
https://www.google.com/search?q=SM-...es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8#q=SM-T116bu+return+to+stock
i didnt see any promising leads on google for a rom, so your only alternative may be to return to stock. have a look through these for a possible way to do that :

one small tip for future reference.
you should figure out how to fix your phone and have the tools and files on hand before making any modifications.
personally, i never do anything to my phone before thoroughly learning how to fix it, and if i cant find a way, then i dont mod it.
i see all the time on here, people frantic because they broke their phone and dont have a clue how to fix it.
in some cases there is no way to fix it because the files are not available, its really important to know that before you break it.

Didn't you actually 'think' that I already searched for that on Google? Please try to 'think' that if you don't do mistakes you will never learn so yeah not breaking your phone doesn't mean you're smart OR intelligent.

i never implied that you or anyone else wasnt "smart or intelligent"
i have broken my phones many times. the difference between me and a lot of users i see posting here is, i think about what would happen if i do something and it breaks the phone, before i actually do it. then i go and find out how to restore stock, and gather the files and tools first. then i actually restore stock, just so im sure i know how to do it first.
i see and help countless users here on xda, and frequently see people run to flash things they think they have to have right away. frequently that is followed by post pleading for help, because they failed to understand the journey, and chose to jump right to the finish line.
so yes, i agree, not breaking your phone doesnt make you smart or intelligent. knowing how to fix it, and helping others to fix theirs for many years, at minimum should gain those of us who help others a little respect, because we dont get paid to, nor have any obligation to, help anyone.

How come? Posting a Google link is actually helping? Then next time someone asks who's that guy, you tell him Google it. I did come here for a reason, which is finding a developer who can make a prerooted rom for me since it doesn't exist anywhere in the Web.
Anyway I found a solution I will post it here in case someone needed it:
1- Flash the tablet with stock rom (the one of your SM-T116bu) skip to 2 if you already have the stock rom and you only want to root the tablet.
2- Get a file explorer (ES explorer or root explorer).
3- Browse to system/lib and copy the whole lib folder and put it somewhere you can access it later.
4- Flash your tablet using the prerooted SM-T116nu rom (link is above).
5- Using the root explorer replace all files in the system/lib which has a 'camera' word in their name with the same files name from the lib folder of the stock rom, do the same with the files in system/lib/hw6- Reboot your device and the camera should work again.

Then next time someone asks who's that guy, you tell him Google it. I did come here for a reason, which is finding a developer who can make a prerooted rom for me i can tell you right away, thats not going to happen. this site isnt a place where devs sit waiting for people to make request, so they can make stuff for them. xda is a place where you come to learn how to make it yourself, if you dont already know how, and support the community with it. since it doesn't exist anywhere in the Web.

Thanks, but your method soft bricks (black screen, can't operate the phone at all after booting) the phone until I flash the rooted or the official ROM again. There's no hw6 folder either, just hw and even changing only the lib files with camera in their names will also soft brick the phone.
I found a solution!!!
Restored my phone to the latest official ROM, then flashed the tiny file from the topic below using ODIN.

Worked like a charm!

The solution was so nice that I even made a short video explaining what I did with my Samsung Galaxy Tab E SM-T116BU from Brazil!!

Assistance is required to flash JB to Samsung Galaxy SII

Hi All,
I decided to flash JB firmware to my old device and give it to my son. Now device has GB version.
I found topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/rom-cyanogenmod-10-official-nightly-t1794758 which presumable should help me with that by encountered few problems:
1. The first advice is: Make sure you're running a proper working ClockworkMod-Recovery.
I went to appropriate topic (DANGER!!!): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1118693, which refers to http://d-h.st/pQK but downloaded ace-archive contains virus. I killed the virus eventually, but wondering how is that possible that XDA references something with virus inside?
Question #1: should I still try to download ClockworkMod-Recovery from the referenced topic? Today I tried that again, but ace archive still contains a very suspicious exe... and I'm afraid, that is still virus.
2. Further advice is: Copy GApps and CM10 ZIPs to your internal SDCard
Where can I get CM10? In the original topic there is only reference to the nightly guild of CM10. Should I try it? Is there more reliable build?
Another topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-j-e/orig-development/miro-tipo-j-edevelopment-cm10-t1997251 doesn't have any reference to download.
Question #2: Where can I download CM10 and other gapps?
Question #3: Where can I get firmware itself? I could not see any WORKING reference in the original topic. Please advise.
Thanks a lot!

You can find your CM10 and recovery on cyanogenmod.org

Was not able to find CM10 on cyanogenmod site, only ROMs.
I want also to update community that I was able to update the firmware on my device.
The most important things which helped me to do are below. Hopefully they will help somebody else.
1. The very basic part of device (at least of Galaxy SII) is "Download mode" accessible via "VolumeDown+Home+Power". This mode literally unbreakable and your safety net if anything goes wrong. Via this mode you are able to upload "Recovery software". To do this you need Odin and recovery SW itself. I used Odin 3.04 and CWM-KitKatCompatible-i9100.tar
2. Recovery mode is SW which allows to upload ROM. To use it one should upload zip with FW (firmware) to SD card and using recovery mode SW install it. Usually, people upload ROM when their device is fully functional. In my case (I broke it before I uploaded FW) I pushed fw via ADB (which is working in recovery mode). Command line: adb push "file_with_FW" /sdcard/storage0 - worked for me
3. Also makes sense to install google apps (set of apps from google which will make other programs work better). Trivial thing after you manage items 1 and 2.
Good luck!

1. My apologies if this thread is in the wrong forum.
2.Not sure if my thread title is OK.
3. Am I allowed to post my link?
4.This site looks different and I can not seem find my answer.
Hi everyone, long time viewer first time poster in need of help. I recently deleted my system apk due to bad judgment, please don't judge. I can no longer access my system settings and with that the package installer no longer works. My tablet has been rooted, for a bit. I used the (kingo root) successfully.I do not have back up, I did find and download the apk sys files from a upper mod and now I need to enable via command to change the setting to allow installation of unknown sources .I do not know how to do that,. I am guessing that maybe that will FIX IT (crossing fingers). Any of the more experienced users know how to assist? I would love to have the stock rom, can't find it. Maybe there is a different method to do a complete restore that has all the files. My apologies if this is redundant request.
oh, I have already tried the hard factory reset and the system setting is still missing. I can't return, No warranty
Thanks in advance, and I can now stop the ugly crying.
I have the QMV7B ELLIPSIS7 4..2.2 rooted via KingoRoot.
thanks to (?) can't find your name.f for the link for system files I have.
I have a qr code on my photo albuma and my profile pic for the qmv7b system APK.

How To Get Magisk To See Motorola Edge Stock ROM Image

I rooted my Motorola Edge (regular not +) and I'm trying to do this so I can do the Motorola software updates without wiping out my Android installation and starting from scratch. I need to know how the stock ROM image(which I have) needs to be named and where to put it so Magisk can see it. I asked for help in the Motorola + section here in this thread, but it was a ghost town. The one response I did get was very helpful as it's where I got the first link in this post from.
I found a little help here on another site. While that thread is regarding Magisk, it's using it with another phone, so I don't know how relavant it is for using Magisk with my phone. It says to put the file in /data/data on the root partition. Is that right? They also mentioned putting the file's SHA1 hash in a magisk config file, which I did, but it didn't help. It also said to rename the file and GZIP it, ending up with a file with an img.gz extension, which I didn't do.
Maybe not exactly what you are looking for, but I've posted some
