Nope. Its not memory card what affects video playback, its the device you use. MMX A110 supports only 720p videos.

I want a video player or a tweak that can make my optimus 3d play 1080p without small stutters.
Te build-in cannot do this, although its close.
I use hdmi to view the video on tv and the stutters are really noticeable.
I have a genuine class 10 microsd card, so i dont think its the card.

I dont know exactly but this phone cant handle 1080p 3D natively, i mean cant decode video 3D at 1080P, just simulate that 3D...
And wait for Gingerbread or overclock kernel, maybe you get better performance.
yes he can... played lot of 1080p 3D mkv and was so smooth...

I only download quality
put the video on pc,download mediainfo and check the bitrate.
Il check it tonight but isnt there a app that has a bit more accelerating power then the stock video player?
Because im not going to convert my videos.

Hi, i was planning to buy the Xperia j but i was wondering if it can play 720p videos using MX player etc?? Thanks.
Xperia Miro really lags while playing 720p.
As of compability it opens even 1080p MKV (But of course you can not watch anything because of lag).
J has only 200Mhz better processor
It will be lag of course
Based on my test, it only support main profile for hardware decoding up to 480P.
*My device is Miro
80% it won't lag but 2 to 4 seconds it lags here and there !:/

And another issue.
Whitch kind of videos is best for the J??
Hd? Mp4 HD? Mp4 720p?
Becase the firmware video is awersome, but i cant find the same format for this quality.

well you can enhance the quality (not resolution). if you are interested see my thread here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2121645
Just share my experience although mine is Xperia Miro.
The device is capable to hardware decode PSP MP4 video(480P), H264 Main Profile @3.0.
720P videos that required software decoding are varies from case to case, it maybe smooth or lag if the video bitrate is high.

If by firmware video you mean the 'Xperia HD Landscapes' video, it was encoded at 854x480 resolution in baseline profile with a good bitrate.
In my opinion, the best settings are the same used in the landscape video.
Main profile skips frames at a high bitrate. So don't use the main profile.
And regarding HD videos, J relies on software decoding which in truth is not enough. So even if you try HD videos, go for a low bitrate.

Yup, this is the best video player I have ever used, just install the player and the codec from GPlay (all free) and it will play everything you throw in!
P/s: you may need to find some extra codec and copy them manually to your device to play some file (in my case, it's .mkv)

mx player will run 720p videos but i dont think it can run it smoothly there will be many lags while video playback due weak gpu
Forget all that. The video will play properly with the correct resolution (mine is tipo) so 480x320 mpeg4 at least 1600kbps aac Lc 48khz 128kbps is already looks so good. Why waste your microsd size just to show your laggy 720p? Better show off high quality properly converted .mp4 file. And if you want to watch movies, obviously that 720p video size is bigger.
