Searching for aosp browser

Hey.
I hope this is the correct subforum.
I'm looking for a newer aosp version which fades out the navigation bar automatically like on pa.
Compatible with stock Android 4.2.2 on the nexus.
Can anybody help me out here ?

I'm pretty sure you can grab the .apk from a PA build zip and put it on /system/app with root explorer.

I already tried that but the browser just crashed immediately. I guess it's not compatible with stock because of the different "styled" is has on different dpi settings.

U mean the addresses bar auto hides or the nav bar ? Cuz chrome auto hides the Addy bar now

Oh sorry I mean the Address bar and yes I noticed that... Finally! but I still don't like chrome because it's not nearly as smooth as my aosp browser, consumes more battery and displays text size on sites like xda really weird..

Doubt it. only cm is doing CAF and if there's one thing omni don't want to be, its cm
