Hi
I'm running stock with an unlocked boot loader and rooted.
I've only made one change to my system to change my DPI so updating my an OTA I can revert my settings easily.
If I install xposed framework and mods will I still be able to OTA upgrade or not ?
Thanks.

The framework will need to be removed via the xposed installer. The installer and modules themselves are user apps and not relevant

Is it possible to get the CM10-like kill/clear all recent apps button working in 4.4 (without flashing a CM11 kang)?
If you're rooted, install XPosed framework and Gravity Box. It has that option

I used the cm installer and corresponding app and everything went fine. The version that installed is 11.0InstallerXNPQ02R. My question is where is the cyanogenmod updater menu button in the about phone. All I have is system updated and cyanogenmod statistics. I have seen videos and such with the other menu option I am talking about.http://imgur.com/bx0wHj
Should I flash the most recent snapshot of the nexus 5 from the website? (which is cm11 m2) (download, move to phone, open recovery, install from zip)? Does this wipe my whole phone or just update using the zip?
or should I just wait for cyanogenmod updates via the system updates?
anyone know?
Is there no cm support thread?

Settings, About Phone, Cyanogenmod Updates - Tell it to manually refresh. Choose your update to install.
These do not wipe out your data. I am flashing them regularly. Take time to read the forum below. Some nightlies are better than others. As I am using this as a daily driver, I wait a day, read the forum to see if all hell has broken loose with a given nightly then flash.
The CM11 nightly thread can be found here:

The CM Installer works differently than community builds. Updates are handled through the "System Update" menu and they are true OTA updates.
Hi I have Alcatel or falsh 6042d/tcl 6042d and every time I try to install gravitybox my phone goes into a bootloop. Gravitybox is something that I love and really wanted it.
As of now it not possible I guess and according to other xda threads I tried to install xposed v2.3.1 but it would show that sdk19 is not supported.
Somebody please can provide a relevant solution for this problem 'cause I really love gravitybox.

Hello,
So maybe your device isn't supported since it isn't on official devices support list.

This is a challenge regarding the "Symphony Xplorer V50" but, you first have to have proper root working.
Assuming that you might not be rooted. The following link may be helpful for you.
https://www.getdroidtips.com/twrp-recovery-symphony-v50/
Assuming that you are rooted. The following link has the XPosed Installer for KitKat devices.
http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer
Just to let you know that there's no separate/flashable XPosed Framework for the KitKat devices. Those Android versions never had a separate file to flash but, the XPosed Installer app performed this as a part of its function.
Scroll down to the "de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v33_36570c.apk" because that was the app that's specific for the KitKat as stated on that page "2.7 experimental1" "Note that this only works with root access on Android 4.0.3 up to Android 4.4.".
The following thread is specific to this XPosed Installer app.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-2-7-experimental-version-feedback-t2788124
That's the best that I can help you with because I'm not familiar with your device on top of my not using KitKat in a zillion years LOL!
I wish you the best of luck!

Good morning,
I have rooted the phone and debloated it. But I saw some interesting looking apps like gravitybox and xposed; is there a way to install those on a S5 G900V, CID 11 phone? Or because of the locked bootloader we cannot use those?
Any recommendations for stock replacements for calling app with call recording, texting app that allows mms sending over wifi, apps to change phone themes (settings menu design)? Any recommendations for interesting apps for rooted phone?
Thank.

I don't use these XPosed Modules myself but, if you require additional information, the following are the threads specific to GravityBox (you just have to select the one that matches your Android Version).
[XPOSED] GravityBox for Android 8 (Oreo):

[XPOSED] GravityBox for Android 7 (Nougat):

[XPOSED] GravityBox for Android 6 (Marshmallow):

If you require further assistance with your device, your best bet is to post your question within the following Q&A thread that's specific to your device and variants.

Good Luck!
