I'm italian and i'm pretty new on the forum but I have some experience of the world from the Android " behind the scenes" ( developer )
I wanted to let everyone know that I found a way to ENABLE the fateful , fantastic , mega, super, turbo hotword " OK GOOGLE " , which activates google now , IN ANY LANGUAGES ! (ITALIAN, SPANISH, FRENCH, GERMAN, JAPANESE) and not only in English!!
among others, believe to be THE FIRST IN THE WORLD ! ( please say me not! ) since it was coming out this fantastic feature that I had to do it ....

the procedure is fairly tested and shows how to enable all the other languages supported by google now ( German - german , spanish -spanish , french - french, japanese - Japanese , Italian - english ), but for now you can just having the phone rootato

"OK Google" does work in my Phone, but hot word "OK Google" can not be found in search bar, how to fix this?

Thank you so much!!! I can't believe the Spanish scene has not done this yet or copied it! I couldn't find this anywhere.
I use to be able to use an experimental launcher in the past that allowed me to say "OK Google", and then speak Spanish and be understood, but right now, I can't do it anymore without having to manually push the microphone icon first . I though maybe Google updated the search app, and removed that feature on purpose for testing...
PS: I read people created flashable ZIP files to be able to say "OK Jarvis" instead of "OK Google". Do you know something about it?
Again, I can't believe this isn't so known around other language speakers, or even that "OK Jarvis" mod.
EDIT: Hello, my tree looks like this: cd /system/usr/srec/config and the file inside is called en.us. So I had to modify the commands and do the same with a "es.es" folder for Spanish, but it doesn't seem to work. (cp -r en.us es.es ). It creates the es.es folder, and I can set permissions fine, but it doesn't seem to work in the launcher.
I have a Moto G (x1032 GSM International), and I also tried restoring to a new stock rom, and also a modded ROM, both on KitKat 4.4.2
Any help?
It seems the old way doesn't work anymore on the new Google Search update to 3.2.17 update, and there seems a new way to do it, but it appears not to work anymore either

Once the module is installed, set the locale for GoogleQuickSearchBox to en-US. Of course, you’ll need to have the Xposed Framework (thread) installed to get started.

the LATEST MIUI ROM has been released at 1700Hours GMT+8 in China!
MIUI is based on GOT 2.2.1 SHOLS_U2_02.36.0 for central Europe so you have to flash your phone thro RSD before using Opencovery update to MIUI.
It is NOT nandroid backup,you need to update the rom from openreovery.

the english version go on Sunday...like the N1 or Desire MIUI...howewer i try this rom is 30%english 70%chinese...the different with the dexter miui is the speed of scrolling...more smooth than dexter,but dexter is a port this is an official rom it's normal..Now the milestone entered in the family of miui device waitning Dexter to Mod this 11-19.

When you update !
be aware when you update the Miui official rom all other updates in the open recovery/updates folder are deleted as part of a tidy process run as you install so if you have any custom zips you apply they will be deleted as you install miui.

but before u apply this pack copy the build.prop. after applying the eng pack paste the original build.prop.
With the english patch I lose the HSDPA icon in the status bar. Is there a way to restore that? Other than that: Seems like its working like a charm!!!

i downloaded english pack from the link you posted.
my phone hang (white screen) after applying english pack update.
The followings are how I did
i wipe cache/factory/dalvik and apply MIUI official update.
after that i update language pack.
removed the build.prop from the update file in /system/ ?

1. the voice will go low while making telephone call.
2. After screen locked, can not unlock.
This miui rom has english version, not sure if has italian language.
There are some discussion in mobile-kon.com right now. I will ask more details today. There are two people tested. One posted picture shows the battery used over 47 hours still have 17% remain.

Sorry, these is no download link yet.
Just contacted with Ling Gan, he said there are few files need to fix. First of all is the screen lock. After fixed this part, will have a rom for test.
He also said, will add multi-language support. Right now, is only support Chinese and English.
download link not yet released, the people who are still working on it said there are many bugs needed to be fixed before a release comes out
so guys be patient and wait for the miui (if you need)

After flashing Jelly Bean to my device I quickly discovered the problem which many non-US members have been talking about, it was impossible to use Google Now to it's full potential without changing the system language to English (US). I thought that there had to be some simple solution to this problem, so I searched around here on xda for any mod that fixed this, but there wasn't any success. So, after some simple smali editing I now present to you
Google Now with independant locale
This mod allows you to continue using Google Now as you're used to, but without having to compromise with your own language of choice - Whether it be Spanish, French, Swedish or any other language that is supported as of Jelly Bean. The only thing that is required is replacing the old Google Now apk with the new one.
Disclaimer
- You are responsible for anything that could potentially harm your device by using this app. If you are worried, make a Nandroid.
- I can't guarantee that this will mod will work on your device/configuration. If it doesn't, please provide a logcat so I attempt to fix the problem.

Installation Instructions
(Requires Jelly Bean or above)
1. Download the file from dl.dropbox.com/u/22829424/Velvet.apk (unclickable because of insufficient post count)
2. Remount /system with read/write permissions
3. Copy the apk to /system/app/Velvet.apk
IMPORTANT - If Velvet.apk does not already exist in /system/app/ it could be having another name. If GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk is there, replace that file instead.
4. Remount /system with read-only permissions again
5. Install the apk as you would the normal way (Users on the Swedish forum I originally posted this on found this to be required)
If you want to perform step 2 - 4 using adb, these are the commands to use

Have you tried setting the TTS language to English (US)? There could be some sort of error I made when modifying the apk that only allows that language.
even putting the language of the TTS language of English (U.S.) that does not work I have never in my voice that responds

Could you try pulling a logcat from your device after you've received an answer from Google Now and link a pastebin here? There could be something useful there

Well, if you download this tool I saw on the portal the other day

Then use your mobile device and go to Google Now, enter/ask a question that you know for sure will result in a voice response (try "where is the closest mcdonalds"). When you see the response on the screen, use the tool you previously downloaded and get the log from your device.
Once the log is saved, upload it to pastebin.com and post a link to your pastebin here
Works fine for me on my nexus s i9023 in Germany on the brainmaster ROM.
Although I am a little confused about the mix of language settings.
The app seems to be in german, but I selected English (US) for the search.
So I have to ask questions in english and get answers in german. Though I thought the whole app would be in english.

Im German too, this works like you want it too. I have my System Language set to German and I ask Google Now Questions in English. The Output Language is also English. If you ask a Question in German it simply won't be understood.
Im using traditional chinese as system language, with this app no problem at all. Thanks!

Instructions
-Do a factory reset (unless coming from previous GPe ROM, then just wipe cache/dalvik)
-Install with TWRP or CWR
-Flash the radio (link below) if you wish
NOTE:
once you're done with setting up your phone, let it finish for a while. when you hold down on the homescreen you see a settings button, it might be that google now is still analyzing so let it finish. after a couple of minutes you can activate google Now. Now you can swipe to the right to see it!

If Google Now/Search is force closing on you...
Go to Settings > Language and Input > Language
And change it to "Espanol (Espana)" (Another language may work, but I tried it with this one)
Go back home, and try to make a search. If you don't know Spanish, say "me hablo espanol" (me hah-blow s-pan-yole)
Go back to Settings and change it back to English. See if this works.
It fixed it for me.

I think what he was saying was it would be a whole lot easier for you to include the lib then have to explain the other process over and over..

Originally I was on English US, Google search crashed everytime, I changed to English UK and works perfectly. I'm on Google Edition 4.3 by the way, not this ROM. I've just installed all the newer versions of the apps from 4.4 thats all, but it works for me, so may work for you also.
change to English UK see if it works for you. Obviously it be more ideal not to have to change the language, but until libs are available, then its a quick and easy fix for now.

Dialer will NOT work. It's built against API Level 19 (Min/Max both 19) so it requires KitKat. I deodexed and zipaligned the APK and tried installing it on my One (GPE) but it didn't work.

There's no new firmware and radio. These apps/libs are from a nexus 5 system dump not an official HTC ruu/update

Why can't I login :--( I already have the Appstore, I tried registering through the Appstore but same results. It says "Connection failed. The network server is busy. Please retry later." Help pls, I also can't download songs in the Music player, but other functions working perfectly fine. Thanks!

I restarted my phone then I can download the songs already but I still can't register for an account :--(
