As we already know, in the Z1 newest update could able to change the theme and the nevagation bar, but why don't we just customize it for ourselves?
but is there any method to get this done?
because I tried for a long time with 7z(I know it is a bit stupid) however it still can not make any change for that, so could anybody help me or maybe help yourself to get this done for getting an awesome, amazing theme
Thank you, and sorry for my extremely poor English.

Are you rooted? Install Xposed Framework... then you're laughing. Lots of add ons for it, where you can do such a thing.

Sorry, my Z1 haven't root yet, as it is a expensive phone, and I wont get any money to buy a new one if I did something wrong during rooting my phone T.T
But is it even possible that without root, I could get this things done?

I'm not sure, rooting really isn't hard to be honest. Very simple guides now. Even with bricking it you can get it back.

I know it is extremely sample as I have already rooted my previous phone Xperia Arc S, I know it is easy, and also as I checked with this Z1, it have dual recovery, it is even better to get all the things work even better
Also I does really know the benefits of rooting the phone, especially everyone care about it also me care which is the battery life, and also I could able to test the feeling of 4.4. But I am tired on backing up my data, as I got only 4CB microscope card and my computer HDD is almost filled which I could not find any place could able to storingy data, and I don't even have enough money to get 32GB microSD card for my Z1.......
Sorry for out of topic and sorry for releasing my emotion here, maybe just ignore it...because of my awful English grammar and words
So let just talk about this topic, if any suggestion could able to do without root
@The-Hulk
Mate, please move this thread to general or Q&A.
Guys , why don't you read XDA rules and this topic is already opened on many threads.
All your answers you can find in ten threads (at least).
Yes we can MOD themes and we are doing that at the moment.
Just use search button...
At the moment there are some issues but as soon as we find a better way we'll MOD 4.3 themes and release them.
Jfxperias already posted few themes and MysticEnforcer already MOD one of them to work on unrooted devices.
LINK
4.3 themes will be MODed soon...

I have been trying for two days to get the Google dialer to work on my Galaxy S3 running 4.4.2 rooted with towelroot. Tried everything I know except for flashing the zip because I don't yet have a custom recovery. Any help would b appreciated. My guess is that it's conflicting with touchwiz.

Forgive me if my description is a little inaccurate as im not looking at my phone at the moment

hey guys, yesterday i bought a new galaxy S6, so far everything is smooth and fast, i heard that applying a theme can cause lag...is this true? because if it does then i dont wanna change my stock theme...
Is it really that hard to apply a theme and test it yourself? Some people are really ridiculous...

no its not hard, but if someone already tried that then they can give some feedback...if you cant help then do not comment
I mean, you have the phone in hand right? You couldnt take the 5 seconds out of your time to try it yourself? Instead you thought it'd be better to be ridiculed as you wait several minutes, even hours or days until someone tells you something you could have confirmed yourself?

Maybe he's afraid once you change themes, even if you go back, the lag will stick.
Why is everyone on xda so damn quick to bash people for asking questions?

Installing a theme causes a bunch of lag during the install process itself (under the covers there are like 20 apks getting installed). I've always applied themes right after installing them, so any for any lag after that it's hard to say if it's left over from the install or is from the application. In any case, after a reboot I haven't noticed any lag.

Tried Kingroot, it didn't work.
By the way, the more people run Kingroot from an Xperia XA, the more they'll try to find a root strategy (it says so on the app, and they're obviously keeping track, so far 114 have tried from the Xperia F3116).

If the x range uses drm-verity which I think all late 2015 onwards Xperia devices onwards do now then it'll be like the z5 range root on unlocked Bootloader only I think. If this is the only way to get root if it'll be even possible on the xa and other x devices looks like I'm going back to stock when i get mine, my M2 is rooted and heavily modified always has been but I refuse to use kingroot.

Kingroot can be removed and replaced by SuperSU you know, after rooting. At least that's what I did on Xperia Z3 Compact. I never left stock by the way, and kept bootloader intact. Now it remains to be seen if Kingroot or anyone will ever be able to root the XA safely at all.

Yes it is according to some the wifi bug has been fixed some are getting 4hrs sot time with ease Bluetooth may have the same problem according to some also depends on how the device is set up try doing either a factory reset or software repair via Sony pcc you need to start with the latest firmware on a totally clean install. Root is probably gonna be a while as someone needs to build kernel+recovery if drm-verity is in use it'll be unlocked Bootloader root only x range not supported by kingroot either for now

And I'm telling you that didn't fix my problem. I realize now that my use of it was ambiguous. The problem was not remedied by the software update which they provided is what I should have said.

Have you even tried any of the above and gave it time to settle down and go through a few cycles. Try posting on the xa Sony support forum the problems/bugs in the thread they have going on, they were quick enough to fix the wifi bug and the more people that report back there with the problems the faster they'll get it sorted.

Sorry but plenty of people are far too quick to just come on here like we all know the answers to everything and thinking they know better you'd be surprised how many people will swear they have tried everything, I know from personal experience that a factory reset and or a software repair/ftf flash via flashtool wiping the phone can do, most people try and do it without totally wiping the data it can also take upto a week for a device to settle down after updates ect. Sony know about the major bugs and are working on fixes that I know and sony are better than most other oem's regarding updates and device su, root will take a little while I think it is just to new yet try getting other x/xa owners emailing kingroot support for device support not that I'd use it myself, i hope I can help move things on a bit when I get mine next week
On the plus side it's supposedly really easy to unlock the bootloader (it's a setting in the developer options)

No that only makes it possible to unlock the bootloader you still have to do it manually after that. Should not be that much work though.
Hey guys,
Its been a while since I rooted my phone (I've been using Samsung phones with locked bootloader) and it sure feels good to be back!
Now, I've been out of the loop for so long that I don't know what I should do next with my rooted V20!
I would love to have you guys come in here and discuss how we can make our V20 even better!
Thing's I've done so far.
Install Adaway
Remove Bloatware using titanium backup (is there better way to remove bloatware beside titanium backup?)
So far I removed all the TMobile apps, is there anything else I should remove that will improve the battery life?
Thanks and lets get this thread going! :good:

I hear ya, I was on a S7 Edge and a S6 before that. It has been a while. With that being said, LG stuff can mostly go....unless you use it. It doesn't seem to be too bad, so you might be able to leave them. Download Better Battery Stats and see what is causing any wakelocks that can be prevented.
Has anyone managed to get rid of Lookout? I hate that thing and want it gone.

Might want to FREEZE apps instead of uninstalling until a viable stock restore is available
Adblocking for sure. Should help improve battery life a hair by not downloading data for ads and processing them to be shown.

From what I've read, TWRP isn't doing proper nandroids, and there isn't a stock image to flash. At the risk of sounding "elitist," I'd recommend going slow.
At&t didn't even have the HTC 10 when I went in. The good days are dying....Root, I will miss you

I know what's in the root thread in the development section.
Is this what you're looking for?
The problems with the .tot files in a nutshell.
I'm not a dev. I can bearly muddle my way around ADB commands. I know what I know from watching the struggles in the root thread. Yeah, there's root and little else. The process doesn't seem quite ready for prime time which of course hasn't stopped the root commandos.
I CAN CONTROL THE WORLD WITH ROOT! LOL . No but really, what can't you do with root? you can do everything as long as the phone doesnt required to implement any new hardware within the phone... I like my Adaway, and greenify, and removes or freeze apps i dont like nor need, I like my pie bar for faster shortcuts (sure, the phone itself has the second screen to put up to 5 apps, but the pie bar give you a lot more options so i will have the 5 on the second screen plus the many mores in the pie bar which is a fast process too, maybe even faster than the second screen), i also like my xposed for every module i desire, AND MY BELOVED TITANIUM BACKUP! and many many more things
The one thing I hope and pray to see come from this newly acquired root is a camera mod that will allow 16MP in full 16:9. Please pull through devs! I would donate for that :highfive:

That's likely because the sensor isn't 16:9 shaped, it's 4:3. You have to crop the sensor to get 16:9.

Hi Xda,

Hey, I have one as well and seem to be in the same situation as you. In Kingroot you can send a request to for them to work on a rooting process within the app. I suggest you download Kingroot so you can add yourself to the list of people who requested!
On YouTube there is a video called "How to ROOT Any Android Device Without A Computer |One Touch Root (2016)" by user The Android Guy that shows you how to get that installed on your phone.
Have you had an issue with the weather app installed on the phone giving you ads? I've run many anti malware apps and it says that it is a malware as well.. I guess we have to thank Blueboo for that.. Anyways, I hope that there is a solution soon because I think once I am able to uninstall that app the phone will be working the way I want it to.
All the best,

About the weather app, you only have to disable it and the app ad will be gone forever. It's a good phone, a shame that it got not much community support But bluboo have done a good work with the updates.
