Droid Maxx Update - same as prior 4.4 OTA? - Droid Ultra Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The Motoroloa web page is showing an update available here:
the webpage indicates this will bring the phone to 19.5.3.obake-maxx_verizon.Verizon.en.US --- is that the same version that people who were in the soak test or the previously released then pulled OTA update were upgraded to?

Looking at my 4.4 OTA updated phone from a few weeks back...I'm on 19.5.3.obake-maxx_verizon.Verizon.en.US
So...yep.

Date on that is 12/18. Same build

I'm on the ota that I got from the other thread, I have a mini. When I look at my build version it says 19.5.3.obakem_Verizon. Build date says 12/6. Am I safe to assume I'm up to date with what I have?

Same here. I suppose we are using the newest firmware.

Apparently some devices are still getting the update...I recently received a replacement maxx and as soon as I activated it..it started downloading 4.4

I still want to know why our update says "S" and not "K" in the Easter Egg. I assumed it was because it was the soak test build.

The official ICS is already out?!
Also you can install OTA updates and keep root just install 'OTA RootKeeper' from the android market when you have successfully rooted your device
I didn't test it yet because I modded my stock rom too much and there wasn't an update >4.0.3 yet. But the app is from supercurio and will probably work well
you can flash a stock otA ICS 4.0.3 rom after rooting

[Q] ICS Official on Cheesecake?

Whats up guys? Last night i was messing around with cheesecake. I was changing the servers around and suddenly I got a "optional system update available" message. It stated that it was 6.16.209.en.us and it was around 354mb. I was apprehensive to d/l it. Wish I did because now I cant seem to find it. Just had to go back to stock .173 then back to .181 just to fix the update check. Has anyone tried this version of ICS?

Yea its a app that checks other Motorola servers from what I understand. You need to have root. HOWEVER, do not use unless you made a backup. Once it changes where the device looks for the OTA it cannot be undone. I switched to the QA 1 server and it popped up that an optional update is available for download ( 6.16.209.en.us. ). I was apprehensive on downloading it. I continued to mess around with the servers and noticed another update on the "dev1" server. 6.16.208.en.us. i got paranoid and freaked out that i couldnt get it back to check the regular server so i did a factory wipe and still couldnt!! So i had to d/l the razr utility tool to flash back to .173 then OTA to .181.

Any updates on this? I'm curious about this, can't be official though?
It looked official from what im reading. It stated that the build was made on may 18. I think the exact phrase was that i would be going from M3-8 to M5-18 i think thats referring to may 18th. I could try it again. But just thought i would see if anyone had any luck with it before i do it. I'll post updates.

Just talked to my buddy Jeff who is on the development side of motorola and this is supposedly going to be the OTA in the next 3 weeks.

Sweet! Only on verizon though?
From what i understand. My friend got the OTA with her Galaxy Nexus like a week ago. The razr still has yet to receive the ota. My maxx got the ota today thanks to cheescake. 6.16.210.en.us baby!

Use ted Ochsen .apk?

Or is it Theodore Ochsen? He's a developer for Motorola and has a few apps out. Supposedly he developed the cheesecake app.

20 minutes ago I got a 90MB OTA system update. I was holding my breath for JB but alas, I remain on 4.0.4. Just like before this update.
Only thing I have noticed in the 5 minutes I am back up is that I can now use exfat SDcards.
Singaporean 16GB WiFi. 8010

the vzw site shows the ultra as having only 4,2 http://support.verizonwireless.com/support/os/android.html
Heard a rumor that they halted the ota push, dont have any trusted sources to reference tho...
There were some issues with the soak.

Need help to return to stock.

I want to update my s3 to the new 4.4 that Verizon just released. I have the message about the new update but every time I try to update the phone gets the triangle and the message. Is there anyway that I can go back to stock with out using a computer?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using XDA Free mobile app
Verizon has no update for the GS3 to 4.4. The version now is 4.3.
