Hi,
Flipkart, one of the biggest online store of India has come up with their own DRM, Flyte ebooks. They have all the indian author books. But i want to read those books in Moon+ reader.
Is there any way to convert .fkb to epub or pdf so that I can read the book in moon+ reader
I am also trying to read the books that i downloaded in the google playbooks, but i am unable to find the pdf or the ebook.
I cant see a folder under android/data but i can see the google play folder under data/data but unable to find the ebook or epub or pdf under the google play folder. Are the books encrypted or where to check the local path. I have rooted my mobile currently using UltimaROM.
Find the .fbk ebooks in the attachment.
Can some body help.
Likely this not possible with using standard instruments and converters...

Does anyone know how to view/read e-books that are HTML format? I try viewing them with the web browser but it returns an error message stating that the link is bad. We copied over several e-books to the /Books folder on the g-tab and the HTML files are within their own e-book subfolders. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Try Aldiko. It should be available from the Market. They say they support HTML format.
UPDATE: My wife uses software called Calibre (installed on a PC) to convert eBook formats to ePub. She also uses it to change the font size, etc. to make it easier for her to read.
Thanks Butch1326. I'll check out Aldiko and Calibre when I get home tonight.
+1 for calibre, not only is it free but it I use it to grab ebook metadata, covers and convert between formats.
whats up fellas.. quick question.. i rooted my inspire and have been successful with installing ROMS but i cant seem for the life of me to play my audioBooks.. At all.
does anyone know how to get audiobooks on the phone and play?
I use mort player audiobook version to play audio books. But it is going to depend on what type they are.
Might want to try the Audible app. Thats great, but only if you have an account at Audible. The app is available at the Market.
For my books that I have on CD, I just convert them to MP3 and use Ambling Books Bookplayer Pro - store the books on your SD card and you're all set. Great app (also available on in the Market).
Have fun!

I use Audible for their format of books and Akimbo for all the M4B books that I have downloaded or converted for myself. Both work wonderfully. Akimbo has an brand new update that allows for things like bookmarks. Time-wise, these two apps are probably the most used on my phone.
What kind of audiobooks are you trying to play?
I use to get audiobooks in pdf format, and I can read and listen it perfectly with ez PDF Reader but also you can download it in mp3 format and play it with MortPlayer or Ambling bookplayer.
If you are using m4b audiobooks, you could use some software like this to change the format of your books.
hxxp://www.convert-m4b-mp3.com/ just change xx for tt
I have audible running on Cyanogenmod without an issue. It does require the subscription or just purchasing books individually. It would be worth checking out. It is easy to get a free book to test it, just listen to a program like Mac Break Weekly on the Twit network (www.twit.tv) They give you an offer code to get a free book when you try audible.
I have a Xoom and I am trying to install a default ebook reader that I can use for downloading books over the web. The format of the books is epub. When I go to download an ebook it gives me three options (Browser, Dolphin Browser, Overdrive). I have a epub reader that I installed that I want to use but the options list limits me to 3.
The browser and dophin browser won't open epub books, overdrive only opens DRM books from it's site, and I have no way of selecting the other program (aldiko) that I installed for these books.
So, my question is, how can I set Aldiko up to be the default application (or even just to show up in the open with window from the browser) to open these books?
Thanks!
Anthony
Check which folder the book(s) gets saved in (with a file manager), open Aldiko, press the "House"-icon and then press "SD card" and choose the ebook folder
I'd rather not have to go through more steps than I have to...and it isn't just the ebooks. On my EVO if I want to view video's on facebook, not all the media applications out there will stream facebook videos. I have one that will but if I have more than 3 video applications on my phone, it drops it from the options menu.
I need a way where I can tell Android which programs to give me to choose from for a specific file format and which ones to not include, or give me more than just the first 3 options it finds.
I have been trying to convert .pdf files using calibre and it doesn't work the converted files either don't convert properly or just don't open.
Anyone knows our phone specific settings (in calibre) or maybe a different converter?
M using moon reader and aldiko on my device.
Want to convert PDF files to ePub on your Mac computer? The third program pdf to epub converter is a must tool for us. I have been using the Amacsoft pdf to epub converter for mac, which can do all the following:
Create ePub books from PDF files on Mac effortlessly;
Enjoy your eBooks in PDF format on ePub-compatible device freely;
Choose batch conversion or partial conversion as you need;
Preserve original text, images, tables, layouts, etc.
