[Q] Setcpu will not update

Setcpu will not update from Google Play (error 403) . I do not have this problem with other apps. Thanks
Was this ever solved? I've been searching forums/web for a while, but haven't come across anything that can help.

I've tried that multiple times, but no luck.
I did have the xda version of setcpu installed, and since i wanted to get the new version and support the developer, i uninstalled that and tried to download the market version. The market version says it has been purchased (i haven't purchased yet), and when i try to install, it gives me the 403 error.
use no-frills CPU control instead. that works for sure
Well, it's working without problems for me dude. Maybe it's a compatibility problem with some cellphones, at least in this Galaxy Ace works without problems, i'm using the Market version.
did you ever resolve this? iH ave the same problem right now....
ok, I have worked out my problem but I have no idea on how to fix it.
I have never purchased SetCPU (I didn't think so but google play was telling me otherwise).
How do I know? I have checked google wallett, which shows me my complete google purchase history and its not on there.
so, not sure where to go from here I spose I need to wait for them to respond to me emails.
market will realize that setcpu is on your phone, so offer the update, when you try to update market says "you can't have it because you've not paid for it via market " the only legit way to solve it, is by backing setup up, uninstalling it and buying it, maybe not what you want to here, but the practical way forward
yeah, I get that and that is what i Have done. I have uninstalled it. it is no longer on my phone.
but, when I go to google play (not on my phone, but on my computer) and check my account. under my applications its there, saying its purchased. I try to install it via the web and it does nothing.
There is no way to purchase it from here, it thinks I already have (the web page), because as mentioned its no longer on my phone.
somewhere something has gotten confused.
have you tried with another Google account? if need, create another account and see if it will allow with the new .
not ideal, but is a work around .
Here is the newest SetCPU dl link:
ht tp:// w ww .megas hare. c om /399 5376 (without spaces)
yeah, I tried my wifes account, but I do not want ot b uy it on that account. the issue now lies with the account not the phone.
have you renamed that file/download to sc02.apk? just want to make sure i downloaded the right thing.
thanks

Delete the corresponding folder in /data/data and wipe cache/dalvik. One of those will fix it.

Are you using ART? if so, switch back to dalvik and try to install it, then go back to ART.
Also, here there are some more directories where you can clean leftovers for apps
Look in those you haven't yet.
1: SDcard
2: SDcard/android/data
3: Cache/dalvik-cache
4: Data/app
5: Data/app-asec
6: Data/app-lib
7: Data/dalvik-cache
8: Data/data
Older versions of MX Player did not work with ART but 1.7.26 certainly does
Have you had it installed before or is this the first time for the app on your phone?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I was also got same error. It was solved by re-copying the file from pc to mobile.

What he means is that the apk you are installing might be corrupted. So, you need to delete it from your phone and transfer it again from the original source where you got it from

I upgraded to MX Pro in August, 2013, so i've used MX on Nexus 4, 7 and 5. Android updates broke MX at least twice and when I got my N5 it was broken. It was about a month before the app was upgraded to work on KitKat.
If you paid for the app....you can always install it from play store. Even if you have a new Google account, just log in your old account and use it for apps you purchased. Just don't sync the old account.
If you didn't buy it.....then good luck.

[APP] Toggle Mobile Data (app and widget)

This app includes a simple interface (and also a widget) to enable/disable the ability to create connections using the mobile network.
Obviously, you need to configure your APN following your provider instructions in order to connect to the Internet using the mobile network. We are not hacking/cracking the connections to provide Internet for free in any case; only are providing a shortcut to enable/disable.
*** Now it works with Android Lollipop
This app is usable for free, but the free version includes a delay before process the activation/deactivation requests (5 seconds).
Includes settings to automatically disable the mobile data when screen becomes off and to reenable when turned on, and also a convenient shortcut in the statusbar.
Also includes activities for use in conjunction with Locale, Setting profiles or any app that support shortcuts to activities.
Link to the app in the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ryosoftware.toggle3g

MultiSIM support
Hello,
I post a APK that (theorically) supports MultiSIM (dualSIM or triSIM) in Lollipop.
I can't try by my self due to I'm not own a MultiSIM device.
Please, appreciate if any user that owns a dualSIM or triSIM device can try.
Thanks in advance
Robert
Note: For singleSIM phones it works like the stock version of Toggle3G, but for dualSIM or triSIM phones it shows more than one switch button, to activate/deactivate data in the convenient SIM.

Thanks

in order to uninstall it you need to enter app settings (not android settings) then click uninstall (and provide root permissions).
after that, you need to reboot your device.
in some devices the uninstall from app settings just removes the app from /system and you need to manually uninstall after the reboot (from android settings this time).
İts not want root nothing when i click uninstall in app setting. So i look inside system / app its not there. İts inside data/app i remove, restart phone then unistall normally again restart not work wifi and mobile data together. İf my mobile data on my wifi goes disabled.. If the app isn't asking for root permissions is due to you have set "don't ask again" into your superuser app.
If you uninstall then reboot the app can't do anything. It requires to exec from /system.
Also, the app isn't changing files on your /system at all.
It only execs the same functions that android settings

Can't download bigger apps from Play store

I own a Xperia Z2 with CM12.1 + M5 kernel but I don't think this problem is related to a specific device or ROM because before this I had an S4 with same problems .
Almost everytime I try to download an app/game bigger than 20-30Mb , the download progress bar fills to 100% then it starts downloading again and when it reaches 100% I get error 963 "app can't be downloaded"
I tried cleaning cache of phone , cleaning cache + data of plays store , rebooting but nothing helps , I just can't download some apps/games .
Does anyone have an idea what should I do ? Is really annoying ...
anyone ?
c'mon , am I the only one with this problem ?
Have you tried unmounting the SD card and installing the app?
Give it a try.
Unmount the SD Card, not remove it, then download the app. It should install fine.
Have you updated your Play Store to 6.3.12A? If yes, revert back to 6.0.5. It'll trigger 963 error when updating apps.
It won't affect clean install anyway.

Lol I didn't notice it! I see that update recently on XDA Labs app. But, I think it's better to obtain updated Open GApps as I'm using it.
Btw I'm on 6.3.12A as I said with clean installation of BeanStalk and everything goes fine.
