Do you seriously have problems with Fastboot or ADB? It's simply downloading the binaries for them through Android SDK or online Google.

Adb works but not fastboot. I have the sdk and google usb driver installed already and lots of other people have the same problem
Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk

Doesn t work in windows 8.1 because of htc drivers. Its a solution on google with drivers from intel instead microsoft for usb ports. Will work with VMware with w7. Good luck

Would you say that the intel solution would work even with amd cpu

hboot / fastboot Windows Drivers

I am trying to get the drivers for my HTC Desire S on Windows to work.
I have the phone connected in Fastboot mode - Windows just shows "Android 1.0"
I try to update the drivers and use the ones in this folder with no luck:
C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk-windows\extras\google\usb_driver
Also tried the unrevoked ones with no luck.
They just say "Windows was unable to install your Android 1.0
Windows could not find driver software for your device"
This is on Win7 32bit.
Anyone tell me what I'm meant to do?
Trying with absolutely no luck to replace my splash screen

Once you get it going its easy to use PS just a tip if you install Linux or in this case Ubuntu if you have 4gb ram
make a swapfile of 512mb and for 8gb you really need 1024mb swap file

i have already done so from the begining btw im on windows 8... i installed 32bit
if it's stuck on waiting for device then the drivers for fastboot aren't installed.

Try running the latest version of HTC Sync (installer). This will usually ensure you have the latest drivers installed. Another thing to consider is that some of these drivers may not be tested on Windows 8, so you may have to do this on a Windows 7 computer. Just throwing some thoughts out there
Ahhh... Another windows 8 user....
Win8 has a problem with drivers. You won't be able to root your phone with Win8. You'll have to dual boot/liveCD Ubuntu, get rid of windows8 crap and install Windows 7. Then you'll be able to root your phone no problem.
For future use of fastboot drivers, I would say that if you like Win8 then dual boot with Ubuntu and use Ubuntu to root and what not on your phone. If you don't like Win8( which I hope you don't), then go find a copy of Win7 and get rid of the crap you already have(win8). If you don't have the money for a $75 copy of Win7, dual boot Ubuntu.

[Q] WIN 7 won't recognize tablet

Hey everybody...got a lovely rebuilt TF300T. A very nifty machine indeed.
I've been going through all the threads to get it rooted but I've hit a roadblock.
No matter what I do or reboot my WIN 7 machine WILL NOT recognize my tablet nor will it allow me to add all the drivers I've pulled down.
Has anybody experienced this?
Thanks,
JBH
could be your chipset, driver issue, faulty cable, usb3 error...
try running a linux and install adb and fastboot and check if its working or not.

[Q] Fastboot not recognized with computer

If you have help, thank you. If not, just move on. I'm asking for an answer, not a smart ass remark. And yes, I know I'm an asshole.
Anyways...
My computer won't recognize my phone when it is in fastboot. I've looked at other threads saying that Windows 8.1 (my computers OS) will not work with ADB, but I no longer have that problem. Fastboot still doesn't work however. Any direct answers? Can you point me to a thread that will help?
Much appreciated.
Do you have the proper drivers? And are you using using the correct "fastboot devices" command?

Proper drivers are installed. (99% sure about that) And I am using the right commands. Nothing comes up with "fastboot devices" and any other fastboot command just says "waiting for device"
Hmm...are you in fastboot usb or just bootloader only?

If still on Windows 8, my guess would be that is the culprit.

Not really. fastboot and adb can be amazingly finicky, and I've had any number of the "usual" fixes not work for me. And your issue with adb working, and fastboot not is a little curious (the opposite or both not working seem to be the much more common cases).
But I can appreciate your . . . uh . . humbleness.

That's how it was for awhile. ADB and fastboot would not work, but i downloaded the current SDK and the update for HTC Sync and that fixed my ADB problem. The fastboot just didn't change. I've been wanting to go back to Windows 7 for quite some time now; I guess this problem is whats going to get me to do that.
I had a lot of trouble with my computer not recognizing my phone in fastboot also. I have a windows 7 laptop with windows 8 as a dual boot. When trying to s-off my phone, windows 7 wouldn't recognize my phone. I ended up doing the s-off process with windows 8 as everything worked fine there. I definately think the problem with yours is windows but not necessarily windows 8. What I would do if i was you is partition the hard drive, get a copy of windows 7 and install it to the new partition. A fresh copy of windows could make the difference. Either that or you could back up your hard drive and do a factory restore with windows 8. The dual boot is better because if you have problems, with one, you can boot up the other operating system and try again. Just a suggestion.
Or you could just download VirtualBox and install Ubuntu virtually, then download ADB and away you go. A lot easier than dual-booting two OS's that are essentially the same..

oneplus one hardbrick doesnt show as QHSUSB_BULK,unable to install qualcom2012 driver

I bricked my Oneplus One while flashing CM11 via fastboot using manual commands on cmd.
After giving all the commands for fastboot flash, during reboot the phone did not reboot and it just got bricked.
The big issue with the brick is that the phone is not being recognized as QHSUSB_BULK but it is showing as Unrecognised Device ... i am not able to update the drivers to qualcom 2012 the windows is giving an error as "Windows was unable to install your unknown device".
I've turned on the Testing Mode to install unsigned drivers and the gpedit policy to stop windows automatically installing drivers is also enabled. Also i've changed the setting in control panel Devices and printers -> Device Installation Settings to "Let me choose what to do "and "never install driver software from windows update".
Still the problem persists Please HELP Me.

Okay,calm down!
Which windows are you using? Are you sure you're not able to boot to fastboot mode?
I'm using windows 8.1 64bit version.

Yes qualcomm 2012 drivers will work just fine.
Make sure you launch the tool with administrator rights. It may take a few refresh and try before flashing starts but it works.
You don't need adb drivers here because this tool uses usb debugging port instead of fastboot/adb.

You should download One Plus USB drivers.
If you prefer you should use One Plus Toolkit.

Tip1: Use correct usb cable.
I thought the error was is usb drivers but it seems that the error was in usb cable. I lost my oneplus usb cable quite a while ago and was using third party usb cable for data transfer and charging. Tried to connect the bricked OPO with that cable only.
Just ought to try connected with different cable here used Amazon Basics micro usb cable and VOILA!!! The drivers were automatically installed by windows this time.It worked on current windows 8.1. Dont know it was luck or really dumb choice of USB cable.
But thank you very much for helping me out.
