Hi I currently rooted my device LG OPTIMUS M, and Installede Metamorph, I found a theme I like ALOT !!! and when I try to install the theme this error comes up
the theme you selected is invalid because the theme control file could be missing or is incorrectly written (please contact theme creator)
this is the 1st time I try to apply a theme and I would be greatly thankful if someone could help me I'm sick of this GDE theme I have ... thanks in advanced

Hi,
For a start the thme you are trying to apply is not designed for your phone.
Edit: the reason it is giving you errors is that the theme you are trying to install is a theme that needs to be flashed from recovery. metamorph will only handle files that were designed for iit.

this is my first rom so dont hate. this is just a port of ranye's stock 2.2.2 thrive rom for the pheonix. It is non themed right now. it will be soon though!

UPDATE THIS ROM WILL NOT WORK ON THE P500 P509 P506 AND THE P505r
flash in clockworkmod recovery for the p500 will get color issue dont freak. also works in thunderg for p500 anyone that wants to help me andy? mik? ciox? you reading this theme is going up soon its a metamoph theme, have to play WaW zombies on pc now lol.
UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!: i no loger have this device i now have a samsung captivate, i might still work in this though.

if you want white clock text replace the services.jar with this one

grab all apks you need,
Place the apk inside the system/app
(etc go-sms-pro)
Open go-sms-pro go to MANIFEST-INF -> and open cert.sf on top you will she
SHA1-Manifest-Digiest: (and a lot of numbers and letter's
copy these line,
now go to the rom your building and add the line you copied
META-INF -> CERT.SF
META-INF -> Manifest
(be sure to delete the line Manifest, when pasted in both files)
Should loke like this SHA1-Digiest: 1jfij1giji47mojh8jh/khoi=
now zip all files (system META-INF recovery and boot,
name what you want, and make zip file
And remember to sign it

So i have a p505 and this rom doesnt work with mine, or at least i guess
i may not have given it long enough to work i dont know. What i do know
is the rom that this was made from worked perfectly on my p505, so i
thought i'd throw that little bit of knowledge out there
i cant get the theme to install! it says some error and theme control or somethin like that! please help!
it will do that now go into metamoph and choose pick exiseting theme and go to carlorom and choose Gingerbread.xml
go into metamoph again and choose gingerbread.xml from exsiting themes carlorom.
Did this modify the kernel at all?
I would like to make an update on this rom.... I guess i was in general
a tad too impatient and didnt give the rom enough time to boot the first
time i ran it... This rom does actually work on the P505R for those that
do have it.

Download romtoolbox from play store
Go to build.prop editor den select tweaks from menu
Change the screen density to 140 or 170 or any no. You feel like then reboot
Then apply theme then again change to 160 then reboot and
Enjoy

Things you will need: 7ZIP (or other compression tool), An unzipped rom and Notepad++
1. Download the Mod or Theme you wish to add and open it with 7ZIP.
2. Drag all of the folders/files EXCEPT Meta-INF into your rom's folder (copy and replace all of the files that have the same name)
3. In your Mod/Theme, open the updater script with Notepad++ (located in META-INF/com/google/android)
4. Copy all of the text in the Mods updater script and then paste it at the bottom of your rom's updater scipt (they're both in the same location).
5. Save it.
6. Done
I hope this guide will help save some time and enhance your roms (Also, please make sure to ask permission for the work you use!) :good:

There's many guides on the subject but I've never done it personally...have you tried flashing it to see if it works without the need to port? The phones are similar so you may not have too. You cannot use HTC kernel or Roms on your Gionee phone.

Sory for interrupting but why do we add the update-script? I mean after I finish the whole process, it occured some eror while flashing. Why is this happening?

The team at Themer are working hard on 854x480 support. We previously asked for some help testing, and now we want to open it up to more people to ensure that it works perfectly. :highfive:
Please note that you must be running your A110 at stock DPI for Themer to work. Otherwise, you will run into alignment issues.
Instructions:
1. Install APK:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/oxg1gfbn39j6sk2/Themer_2013_11_27_BETA_1.16_RC1.apk
2. Download these themes: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mowijz1ubh6lla7/854 themes.zip
3. Sideload the above theme ZIP files into the MyColorScreen/Themer/Export/ZIP directory of your phone. There should be 10 individual ZIPs within. Make sure you add those 10 to your phone and not the entire 22MB ZIP file (which is just a container file).
Then please report back of you experience any instability, performance, or theme alignment issues. Or, of course, report back if everything looks good :victory:

Sorry for late reply but the themes HUD and Kitkat theme all of them are having mis alignment isues other than that

Hi!
I've Xperia L (Resoultion:480x854) and I'm running on completely Stock Rom (non-rooted) and these are the results.
Testing on Xperia U
Hey I've been trying this out in a Sony Xperia U (854x480), Rom Jb 4.1.2 ported from Xperia P.
It's working pretty well, just a few lags. Thanks to the Themer team for bringing this awesome app to our devices :good:
Here are some screenshots.
In the second picture, the yellow ring is a bit out of phase
(3rd image) When I tried to open the app drawer in this theme, it all went a little darker, but nothing showed up.
Then the clock on top (it simulated a notification bar) dissapeared.
(4th image) Here again the app drawer bug.
(Last one) This theme worked pretty well.
Results on Micromax A110
Hi! First of all,thank you very much for bringing this awesome app to our device.Tried it on Micromax A110 (480x854),running on stock JB 4.1.1 rooted and in stock DPI (240).On its own,the app looks and feels quite solid except some occasional lags. Most of the themes were good too,except a few misalignments here and there.
Bookmarks
Looks decent,except the battery circles are out of alignment and the icons in APPS page are too tiny.
HUD
Here also,the battery circle is out of alignment.
Kitkat
Icons in the last row of the main homescreen are little out of alignment.Also,the centrepiece of the bottom bar in every home screen looks kinda funny because of huge icons,especially in the dialer screen.
Overall,a pretty good experience which I hope will improve with days.Hope that my feedback helped.

Using root explorer,go to system.Open the build.prop with text editor and find a line with lcd.density on it.Change the value to 240.Save it and reboot.Then follow the instructions in OP.

Well i tried it,the theme's can be seen and also can be downloaded but while applying the theme,it FC's and then the theme doesn't gets applied and it gets stuck on 'applying'.
Thank you for helping us get this awesome app for our phone.
For me the app is working fine also themes gets applied only of we put a downloaded zip file but i cannot see the themes under themes section..
