Does anyone know of a good car charger will not effect the battery of the phone or does rapid charging? Is there one with a voltage regulator so its like charging from a wall outlet?
Also I was thinking about getting a AC car adapter, and just plug in my wall charger that came with the G2.
What do you guys think?
Look on Amazon for a Motorola micro USB charger. It's like $1.50 with free shipping. They accidentally sent me two of them. Works just fine.
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
I actually use my original G1 charger with a Mini USB -> Micro USB adapter that I bought for $1 shipped from hong kong on eBay, I ordered 5 of them for $5 and they sent me 10 of them on accident... I'm not complaining, now I can use all of my old mini USB cables for the PC as well
I've been looking for car chargers that output 1A.
So far have seen the belkin charger usb port/no cable $10 ebay and radioshack 1.2A corded charger $28.
I can't for the life of me find it sold separately anywhere, but the car charger that came with the N1 car dock works great. Even HTC doesn't have it on their site (that I can find). All they have now is USB car chargers to use with the data cable.
I am new so I can't link to it... but if you go to slickdeals dot net then on the front page there is a deal for the Motorola P513 rapid rate charger on Amazon.
I just jumped on this. Lots of good reviews from incredible, evo, and n1 owners even when using navigation. And it's $5.

If you have a frys electronics near you pick up one of these http://www.frys.com/product/5865763 or order online. Works great is outputs 1A. I refused to pay T-mobile 29.99 for a charger.
has anyone got one on ebay the cheap ones (are they good or keep away from them).
if no good what ones are good
I'm also on the market for a good car charger that will not screw up my phone. Came close to buying the cheapos on Ebay but like the previous poster didn't pull the trigger since I was worried one of those might damage my phone. Any recommendations would be appreciated (or feel free to second the ones that are already listed). It's definitely a necessity since I'll be using this as my primary GPS from now on in my car.

Yes, as I am searching for one, would like to know wich ones not to buy!
I got the HTC CC C300, definitely not cheap, but has 2 usb ports whit 1A in both of em, and looks sleek.
Includes one micro usb cable, only power, doesn't work as data cable.

Pay attention to how many amps the charger supplies. The OEM wall charger puts out 1A (1000 ma). It charges at a pretty good clip up to about 90%, to get the battery 'full' will take some extra time...
I bought this Motorola Charger, as mentioned earlier in this thread, and it was worked very well for me. It is rated to put out 950 ma, so just short of the wall charger.

Just so people know, the highest charging current I have ever seen my G2 take is about 771 mA. This data was taken with Battery Monitor Widget. So I don't think it makes any difference if the charger provides 800 mA or 1.0 A.
I got a full kit of an unopened Belkin chargers for iPod/iPhone for 6 bucks at a goodwill and used the car-usb charger and a micro-usb data cable to charge my phone. The charger is really reliable. I've been using it for my G1 for one year and G2 for half a year and there was never any drop in batter performance.
I always thought the cables didn't matter that much, but the charger is the key to ruining the battery.
As to the amps and voltage: On the back of my battery it's labelled 3.7V 1300mA, and on the phone it's 5V 1A. I doubt it's those 1 buck charger is really gonna have a good grip on those values.
I've been very happy with the Dexim dual-USB charger. It plugs into the 12V socket and can output 2 amps (or 1 amp on both ports simultaneously). I bought the iPhone version for the special cable. Other smartphones can use any regular mini or micro USB cable. Great for charging up two devices at once, and it can provide enough current for devices like the iPad.
http://www.dexim.net/us/products/car/DCA154.html
I see they have a version that will kick out 3.1A (!), although I don't think the DZ will take more than about 650-700 mA anyway. It would be nice if someone tweaked the phone's USB firmware or driver to accept a higher current...
Hi
The S6 comes with what they call an adaptive fast charger. Because I am not too happy with the battery life on my S6, I am looking for an adaptive fast charger in an external battery pack. There are lots of portable chargers on Amazon and a lot of them say fast charging but I am not sure whether that is the same thing or they just say fast charging because they are around 2A. Is there something similar to what the phone comes with available in an external battery pack charger?
TIA
I've only seen 2 batteries that support the Samsung fast charge. Officially it needs to be Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 compatible. There is one from incipio that is $80 or so and one from Aukey for $30. The Aukey is out of stock right now on Amazon and I'm waiting to get one as well.
Also if you are looking for a multiport charger or cigarette lighter adapter Choetech make some that work really well and are QC 2.0.

Thanks. I'll take a look at the two you mention.
I also looker before at the Choetech cut I was rather put off by at least three people claiming it caused a fire!
For my car charger, I use my 2015 KIA Sedona's charger adapter that came with the purchase, and it charges just as fast as the charger that came with the S6.
However, the adapter does get a little hot, but not bad. Really surprised at how fast it does charge.

This one is good : [Qualcomm Certified] Tronsmart® Quick Charge 2.0 18W USB Car Charger
Opt among 1 output, 2 output or 3 output. However, please note that only 1 output port supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. Rest 2 are fast, however, not QC 2.0 Fast.:good:

Check slickdeals. I've been using the $5 one (on sale). It outputs 12v so it charges the phone very fast.

Thanks for that. slick deals is having a promo on this.
However i was wondering s6 edge plus is not qualcomm based, instead exynos.
I was considering this one.
http://www.amazon.com/Aukey-Charger-Adapter-Smallest-Powerful/dp/B00M6QODH2
This is 2.1amp, and is the smallest, it can virtually snap right into your car charger port, without the protruding charger popping out.

Technology is same. High Volt, low Ampere. Any QualComm Certified QUick Charger would be compatible with Samsung's Adaptive Fast Charging. Atleast any branded ones, never go for any unheard brands. Usually Tronsmart, Aukey and Anker are good choices in average budget. Here's a video review I did for Tronsmart Adapter (Quick Charge) with my Edge+ :- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DR8W9ozZgAs
Also, please note that I have no affiliation with any of these brands, I just received a product for the review from Tronsmart and I found it really good. And I'm sure Aukey and Anker are equally good.:fingers-crossed:
Also, the Car Charger you are considering isn't fast charging compatible. Although it will not take much time with high Amp output (as specified), but its definitely not a fast charger.
Well, I am using CHOETECH’s Dual USB Car Charger with a dedicated port certified by QUALCOMM’s quick charge 2.0 technology so that I can charge my S6 Edge plus at quick charging rate even on the go. The main specialty of this charger is that it is not only charge the fast charging devices but also Apple devices like iPad Air 2 or iPhone 6 plus at much fast rate as compared to their original charger. You can consider to buy this from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YX7Y3G8/

Thats very good info. Charging technology is evolving with the phones, and thats a very positive start.
The day is not very far when we might have multi thousand mah of battery juice and charging becomes a weekend job.
Do you mind taking notes while charghing 20% of battery with both the qualcomm fast charge, and the regular 2.1amp charger.
I've already placed an order for the Aukey 4.8A / 24W Dual USB Car Charger mainly because of the size. I'd really want a charger that can **** plush within the car's charging port.

Charging isn't a very quantitative process. First 20% of charging would never be same as next 20% of charging. Usually with fast charger, the first 20% would be amazingly fast while the regular 2.1 amp might take upto 1.5 - 2 times the time. Also, assuming two different devices have same sized battery, with the same charger, one might get 70% charged within 30 min while the other can get 80% charged. However, by the end of 100%, both might take similar time. Thats why, the % readings aren't very consistent or dependable. Its approximation. With 2.1 Amp charger, you won't loose much time, trust me. Also, I don't have the facts, but I have noticed that when I do the fast charging, battery drains out marginally quicker than when I charge through regular 2 Amp charger. Hope that helps.. :fingers-crossed:

Thanks that was good info. I've received my 2.1Amp Aukey charger.
I tried it yst evening while commuting back home from work, which is about 20min drive, and the phone was at at 50%, and it was able to charge about 30% in less than 30 mins. Looks promising. I love the form factor. you cannot evne see the charger plugged into the car port. Best of all, the car port's cover covers the entire charger when not charging, this way i dont even have to remove the charger jack every time i have to charge the car, just pluck out the wires, and snap the cover back to conseal the charger.

With constant gaming and videos watching (after working hours ofcs ), mine doesn't stay beyond a day. I'm very happy with that though. I have seen significant different in battery life when I keep the power saving mode on and it doesn't really impacts my gaming at all even though it says that power saving switches to the 1.5 ghz cores and stays that way...!
It doesn’t matter a lot but yeah the main thing is internal circuit and the premium component used in the manufacturing. All of the chargers integrated with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 chip inside. But the best components used in the manufacturing plays a vital role. I can trust CHOETECH more in this area as they are offering 18 months warranty, which means they are confident about what they produce or deliver to their consumers.

Forget about the cheap charger, even with my Samsung Wireless Charger, the S6 Edge+ won't charge. Look at this: https://youtu.be/SfiGk6C3Yso
I bought a 60 dollar stand up charger at best buy and it works great! I had to take the Samsung one back it just blinked. Three days on this stand up one and no problems!
My old samsung wireless charger works. This one
There are still high quality wireless chargers at reasonable prices. Read the reviews before giving it a shot.
i have a problem and need solution
I have the old Nokia Charger and it works fine with and without the case.
Wireless charger...isn't it a new concept to rob money from our pocket? For me, I would prefer to stay with wall charger
For the record, THIS charger does the same thing with my S6 Edge +. I can actually sit here and watch the battery drain while allegedly charging.
I use a Choe Stadium 3 coil and it charges my phone insanely fast.
That sucks. I bought few Nokia DT-900 when they were on sale for $6. It charges my phone just fine.

Wireless charging is cool if the charging speed could be improved, i guess that's why Samsung use 10w wireless charger this time, 2 hours with wireless charging compared with 1.5 hours with wired charging, charging speed would not be a big concern anymore.

I totally agree. And I also notice that some brands start adding quick charge function on power bank, if that happen, we don't have to take 1 to 2 days to charge a 20000mAh power bank anymore, so excited for that.

Hello guys.
I wonder, what is the best model number for every charger.
I know only the 45W that EP-4510 is the good model, so whats the good models for the others?
Also want to know, if I bought a wireless charger from aliexpress(Baseus) with 15W, it will be good for my s22 ultra?
this is the charger:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000695865761.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.21ef1802WUKTQz
It depends on what you want.
Do you want convenience and less wear and tear on your USB port? Then wireless is best. Preferably a quality 15W charger.
Do you want fast, reliable charging, and don't mind plugging and unplugging each time? Then go with the 25W wall charger.
Do you want to waste the most money possible on a charger and seen nothing in return for your investment? Then the 45W is absolutely the best.
I think this the best option if you buy a samsung charger. Charges wirelessly at 15 watts and if you connect it wired then it becomes a 25 watt super fast charger. I have 2 samsung 25 watt super fast chargers. One for the Phone and one for the Tablet.

The cheap ones are just the pad. Their another one like the one I showed you above that $39.99 but that one doesn't come with the wall charger. The $59.99 price gets you the 25 watt charger and the pad. So if you need the charger too and not just the pad look closely at what is included.

25 watt will be fine and shouldn't heat up the phone as much as a 45 watt. I always turn phone off while charging. You don't wanna be doing intensive gaming or bench marks while you charging. That causes a lot of heat.

You can do it any way you want. You can wirelessly charge at 15 watts which is less strain on battery like if you wanna leave it on there over night while you sleeping which is what I do. Then if you need it charged quicker you just plug cable in to your phone and then you get 25 watt and should charge in less than an hour if you are charging fron around 15%.
