Greetings guys,
I bought a phone which is HTC Butterfly x920d, Model PL99300, which was already have custom rom, something like o2 "ROM by kufeen only for x920e", it has Android 4.1.1, I didn't know the sence version and it seems it was htc One build (because on splash screen it shows htc One logo).
I had some problem with this ROM including poor wifi connection, battery drain real fast, and no tethering. So I decided to flash another rom, I got BOA rom and before that I made a backup (using TWRP recovery) then flash the rom. The rom was installed and the first boot ended up in splash screen then reboot like too many times, and the moment it passed the splash the phone ended up in black screen with notification bar showing battery is charging while it wasn't and no sim card.
I decided to restore the previous backup, it did the very same, ended up in black launcher with notification bar. Also I tried the previous o2 but did the same. So I decided to start digging other solutions for that but never find one which works with me. Am completely newbie and I expected by following procedure from ROM developers it would be straight forward which it wasn't.
Here are details of my phone right now:

Really Don't know because I got it used and am in Africa, so I don't know the actual version. But in the back its written "Model PL99300 X920d". Hope that tells something.
Some German butterfly s also x920d on cover but it is a x920e. Does it have red buttons
If so you can use mine

Mine has red buttons, I think its suppose to be Europe one, Am trying to find your rom from your previous post but I couldn't, can you give me the link? (and if possible to procedure on how to flash it based on my current situation as I mentioned on first post, I have no rom right now, just recovery - twrp and bootloader)
Thanks.

It is a CWM recovery Backup sow you first have to flash cwm backup first
CWM 6027
than restore next backup
CWM backup 1.21
Than flash stock Boot
Boot
Than flash stock Recovery
Stock recovery
Now you shoul get notification of update to 4.2.2 and than to 4.3 or it may get at once to 4.3 i don't now
It should be nice if good pull the ota's out of the phone after download. You must do this before install OTA i forgot but still want to have the OTA.
after downloading the OTA, you can find the ZIP in /sdcard/download maybe you want to share with us
Thanks
Thank you very much, I was able to flash the phone back to 4.1.1, then got minor update, now am looking to update to 4.2.2.
Will let you know more on my findings.

Does anyone know of a stable stock TMO US ROM without the T-Mobile apps?
For some reason I keep getting random reboots on CM10 and don't care for any of the other ROMs for the one S. Just gonna revert back to what the phone was built on.
I am pretty sure I have the One S from launch date, but how can I be certain which version of the One S I have?
Thanks

You can remove the T-Mobile apps with titanium backup. So if you made a nandroid just flash back to that and use tb to uninstall apps you don't like.
Your profile says you are in Dallas..I'm in Austin and I have the s4. I think that is/was the only version sold in the US

Just fine the RRU for your update to your phone it should be 2.35 RRU google it should be the first one ^_^..but if you updated from dec 10 and up you have to wait for the new RRU from Football
Or if you made a nandroid you don't have to run ruu which requires you relock bootloader...

Alright, well, I need help.
From my understanding of reading, i need to relock the bootloader, get into fastboot and run the exe.
Every time I run the exe the damn thing closes on me. Doesn't go into "not responding" or errors out or anything, just fracking closes.
Now that the bootloader is locked I can do anything with the phone lol.
Some of the posts I came across said that they found that if you don't have CWM as the recovery it fails, but other posts nixed that idea saying it doesn't matter. Is there any truth to that?
EDIT: the 2.35 RUU closes without warning the 1.53 RUU goes into not responding.
EDIT #2: Was able to unlock the bootloader again, flash the latest nightly and now im back on CM10 with a brandnew phone and factory reset to nothing. What do I need to do to be able to successfully run the 2.35 ruu...?
Are you running windows or linux on your pc..??

Windows.
I have the ability to do so in Linux as well if need be.
I can provide you the latest nandroid backup if you want restore it in twrp or cwm then get the boot.IMG from the ruu , open ruu , goto temp files, find the folder which contains the extracts of ruu and then open the Rom.zip in there , there you will find the boot.IMG , flash it in fastboot , flash stock recovery , relock bootloader. You're as good ruu , or if you want I can do the ruu manualy for you on teamviewer pm me !

Dear Members, I am using X920e for3 months now and I am so fed up because after unlocking, rooting and installing several custom ROMs (at the moment using NOS M7 with Sense 5), when I start my phone, it never recognizes the SIM card (for that I have to turn Airplane mode On and then OFF). Its Wifi does not work and does not find anything. Even the icon does not come on top bar. Bluetooth has same problem.
Please please pleaseeeeeeee help me find a solution for that.
NOTE: In settings sometimes it does not show Wifi and Bluetooth MAC addresses. After NOS M7 ROM installation (as shown on youtube), MAC addresses are there but same SIM recognition requires Airplane mode on and off after each reboot. Wifi and Bluetooth are not working as usual.
Requesting help.
Thanking you all in anticipation and appreciate your time to reply me.

Dear senior member. I did exactly as you said. Yes I have S-on and I flashed boot image for the kernel in fastboot. Following is the link I got it from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2188640
Still when my phone turns on, it does not detect network, I then turn Airplane mode on and then turn it off. It then detects the network. No Wifi icon comes on even if I turn it on and it never detects any Wifi. In hardware information, it never gives Wifi Mac address and same is with Bluetooth.
I have been using iPhone3Gs all the way to 5 and then I have used S3 and now I moved on to HTC Butterfly x920e and I think its horrible mobile phone. I am so very sad. I cant talk to my family or use this phone for any of the reasons, I bought it for.
I will greatly appreciate if dear forum members could help a desperate and disappointed HTC x920e user.

Sir I am on Custom ROM. Using Virtuous DNA+ 1.0 ROM. Changed yesterday from NOS7 Custom ROM after wiping all data from phone and using all things clean 100%. Still have the same mentioned problems.
S-ON is still showing in hboot 4.1000 but the phone is rooted and has TWR recovery installed.
I tried many many links but they give me stock RUU links instead for my China bought x920e. I tried all RUUs on internet but they give me 155 error "The RUU image is bigger than the one you are trying to flash".
Please advice or give me links if there is any stock ROM for x920e which I may have missed and it may solve my problem.
MILLION THANKS in anticipation.

But it is not available while all the files on this page are ZIP archives. This particular HTC China link takes me to HTC's index page
Will any other file work? I have already tried HTC Asia files with no luck. Please advise.
EDIT: I found the file on a Chinese server, downloading it. I will inform the situation once DONE.

Hi,
I have a big problem. My phone restarts after 20 sec because the process "system" stoping, my battery icon continously shows charging, no network and I can't go into reboot menu after pressing the power button.
I had unlocked my bootloader with this description http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2150794.
Then I flashed the rom ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2184706 ) but it don't start. After that I flashed the boot.img from the first page of the rom thread. I power on my Butterfly, the HTC icon comes but after 3 sec I can only see colored and black vertical stripes. Then I noticed my mistake and flashed the right boot.img from this rom but nothing changed.
Then I flashed many versions of the stock roms, the devices now boot into the rom but now I have the problem with charging and reboot. I Tryed also many custom roms like "TeamA4TWBOAButterflyV5.2" or "virtuous_butterfly_plus_v.1.0.0" but I have this problem with all of these roms.
I have the x920d, my bootloader is tampered unlocked and my cid is htc_033.
Can anybody help me? Did I something wrong or is my device broken? Maybe I flashed the wrong stock rom? I need a stock rom for x920d for germany.
Sorry for my bad english.
When the phone is also from Germany you have a x920e check in bootloader should be dlxu and not dlxub1 if it is dlxu you can use virtuous Rom the Russian version

I had the same problem. After updating OTA to Android 4.2.2 I had problems with the new OS. The battery life was shorter as before and the device got warm every time, even when I only used the browser or the E-Mail app. Therefore, I decided to make a downgrade to Android 4.1.1. Unfortunately, the downgrade hasn't worked for me because the RUU file was corrupted.
Therefore, I tried to flash a custom rom but no rom worked for me, with all custom roms I got a black screen and a boot loop. My device is from Media Markt in Germany and it seems it's also the x920e. However, on the back cover I can read x920d.
The only way to get my phone back to life was restoring a CWM backup from this Russian forum:
http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=433096&st=360
After a few months I wanted to give the Android 4.2.2 a new try and flashed the stock recovery to get the OTA update but when the device tried to install the update I got a warning triangle in the recovery and nothing happened.
When I get S-Off on my device, will all custom roms and official OTA updates work for me?
Has anybody tried the S-Off procedure on http://rumrunner.us/downloads-2/? Will it run with my device?
Today i had notification of update to 4.3 and sense 5.5 when I flashed stock recovery I'll give it a try

Recovery
Hi pplz... I'm having a problem updating my Butterfly x920D to the latest OTA 4.3 (SV: 3.15.707.4). I've read quite a number of threads over here but am confused about it. Pls help in assisting me. Below are my phone's details:
Model: Butterfly x920d
Android Version: 4.2.2
HTC Sense: 5.0
Software number: 2.33.707.3
*** TAMPERED ***
*** UNLOCKED ***
DELUXE_UB1 PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.54.0000
RADIO-3A.28.306.09
OpenDSP-V10.120.274.0520
OS-2.33.707.3
eMMC-boot 2048MB
Aug 16 2013
I have:
1. Installed TWRP (but S-ON)
2. Downloaded the latest OTA (OTA_DLXB1_U_JB43_SENSE55_MR_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.15.707.4-2.33.707.3_release_349223iyhl6ppxepz4q8jp.exe)
I understand that I need to flash back to the original ROM in order for me to flash the update.
Question:
1. Which ROM should I flash back to?
i) DLXB1_U_JB_50_hTC_Asia_TW_2.28.709.3_V0.0.zip
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B7MPpG7R8I4yUnV6a25MVVV1X1U/edit?pli=1
ii) DLXB1_U_JB43_SENSE55_MR_hTC_Asia_TW_3.12.709.6_V0. 0.zip

2. Once I flash it back to stock, the TWRP will be gone and I will need to reinstall again?
Thank you so much for the replies in advance.
Better use backup to go back to stock Rom 4.2.2 then flash stock boot and recovery and install ota to 4.3

Hi Bassie39. U mean I backup my current ROM 4.2.2 using TWRP and flash stock boot and do a recovery from my backed up ROM 4.2.2?
Can you pls point me to the stock boot?
Thanks.
No backup of stock Rom always backup stock Rom before change anything. If you don't have stock backup try to find someone with same model en sw version and make backup of it. Maybe try searching internet

I'm having the same problem but no solution. The only recovery here are geared towards 709 series.
A lot of post mentioned "OTA list", but if they are referring to this, it has been closed for good.
A wild search on the net has no results. Do update here if you find any solutions.

@Bassie39, How do you backup if on stock recovery (i.e. New flashed ROM)?
First you will have will have to flash TWRP recovery and then back-up. From OTA file, firmware can be flashed seperately to get stock recovery again if needed.
