Hey guys. I have done some porting ( im a new to this stuff btw ), I tried to port the CyanogenMod from HTC Desire X because that phone has the same hardware as my ZTE Blade III Pro ( i mean Chipset, CPU clock GPU and same screen resolution with the same size and same pixel density)

It didn't brick my device which means some is going good but still there are problems. I followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957219 , i know that there's just copy-paste on this guide but i'd be thankfull to those who would help me. If you need some more info just tell me.

Hey, I have a Micromax Canvas 2 Colors phone. And there are very less developers or porters for this phone. I've seen a couple of threads in XDA about porting roms and stuff. I wanted to know is it possible for me to port a rom from Moto G II Gen to my phone? Every spec is the same except for the processor. I've got a Mediatek one while the Moto G has a qualcomm one. Both are Cortex - A7. I'm new to XDA as well as porting and stuff. Any help will be really appreciated.

Hello,
I got rugged smartphone called JEEP A8 4G or iMAN I8800
It's based on MSM8916 (4 x 1.2GHz), 1GB RAM / 8 GB ROM, 5.5 inch screen (960 x 540), Android 4.4.4
It name in system is YUTONG and there is Land Rover logo at start.
Maybe someone got this smartphone too and managed to root it ? I used every one rooting software without any success.
Or maybe someone can advise me how should I root this device ?

I have this phone: http://ztedevices.ca/en/zte-grandx.html (zte grand x v933)
and the issue is this phone is stuck at android jelly bean 4.3 and I want at least kitkat or lollipop.
I have seen other threads on this forum for options for other phones (zte Blade, zte grand x in, zte grand x Plus/max options)
But I want to be sure that I will not brick it. I have seen nothing for my phone. My question is, if the cpu/gpu is the same for other zte phones and their custom roms, will the rom still work on my phone and not brick? (if I try something like cynagenmod , or cwm etc)

i had kitkat before rooted but when i updated i cant root anymore i had twrp by using master shifu method of rooting and its not working with the new rom its cpu is mtk6952 and 2 gb of ram android 5.1 emmc 1280 x 720 resoultion can anyone help ?

I found a CWM for this device, but if may only work in the old world order (or unlock the bootloader). You may want to look at this tag anyway:

Also, with no obvious root available, all I can suggest is the trial and error method.

Hi...as i'm new to this, i have just rooted my phone & i don't know how to find a perfect custom rom for it, the detail of my phone is...i'm using Xolo Q2000 Mediatek MT6589, Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7, PowerVR SGX544, Android OS, v4.2.1 (Jelly Bean), Kernel 3.4.5, Dual SIM 3G Both (Mini-SIM), 720 x 1280 pixels (~267 ppi pixel density), Internal memory 8 GB, 1 GB RAM, Camera 13 MP back & 2 MP front, from almost two year's, as there is no updates from the phone company & i'm still on JB , so i though for updating my phone by rooting it & putting custom rom or any other better way, so any one who have same phone or who can help me to get the best for my phone, Pl. do help me......Thanks in advance
