After installing a custom ROM my touch screen is unresponsive on Samsung GalaxyY Duos - General Questions and Answers

After rooting my brand new Samsung Galaxy Y Duos, which was a gift for my nephew on Christmas, I decided to add some personal touches to the phone. I installed a custom ROM (GingerIceJelly) using CWM and it was successful but after rebooting the phone I noticed that the touch was unresponsive ... I tried hard reset and also even reinstalling new ROMS but that hasn't fixed the problem ... I found this while searching online
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22709246&postcount=1
Can someone please help me with finding a solution? Thank you ...

Its so funny, this is the same exact thing what happened to me earlier today, but i have no answer cuz i'm still stuck with it, I tried about 4 different stock roms, but it does not help.......hope som1 can help us, cuz i'm clueless

so basically you have to do is download that chcobread 2.0 and touch tool zip and copy them to the phone or sd and run it via cwm. no need to install it via adb and fastboot
good luck..
Hit thanks if i helped!

[OTA][S-OFF]OTA_Chacha_HTC_Europe_1.54.401.2-1.33.401.1

hey guys,
I just randomly checked for updates from my stock 1.33 EU ROM and it finds me a 1.54 OTA with Android 2.3.5 update.
Since i am using a ClockworkMod Recovery Image as of now, I would need to shift back to Stock Recovery In order to check out this OTA Update..
I googled a lot to find if this update file was ever noticed before, but i did not find any results on any of the forums.. So i think its kinda new
So, anybody running Stock Recovery can update this from a (unrooted?) S-OFF with a superCID chacha device i think..
Correct me if i am wrong..
Or if you want to shift back from CWM to Stock Recovery, check this >>
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1164468
(Credits to Mikevhl and Alex C. for their contributions)
Here is the link to the OTA file >>
http://www.mediafire.com/?111mjddqzda8u2p
Before it gets deleted from the mediafire servers, and if this OTA was worth the find, i would like Alex C. t upload the file to his server for further use of the users here..
INSTRUCTIONS :
1. Install Stock Recovery using CWM
>> Download http://www.mediafire.com/?c39i9ubm11ukggn and rename it to PH06IMG.ZIP and place it in sd card root and install via bootloader
{OR}
install a fresh 1.33 ROM using http://alex.swtesting.ro/downloads/....3033H_7.48.35.14_2_release_204385_signed.exe
2.Rename the OTA_Chacha_HTC_blabla.zip file to update.zip and place it on the SD card root folder.
3. Boot into Bootloader menu (Vol DWN+Power) and select recovery using VOL keys and power button to select.
4. Press Vol Up+Power and install update.zip
5. Wait till update completes.
DEVS, pls post in your comments and changes in this update..
I just found out the OTA file, its upto you guys to find out whats in it and i hope it will be of use to you guys in some way..
thanks again
UPDATE :
you can download a CWM backup of 1.54 here:
http://www.schoelli.cc/media/ChaCha1.54CWM.zip
extract it and put it into root of your sd and restore it via CWM

i am not able to install this update
i installed fresh 1.33 with 1.33....exe
installed afterwards cwm, because the fresh installed wiped it away.
booted into bootloader and then into recovery
wiped dalvik cache and made factory reset
but when i try to install it via zip file it aborts after some time with error 7
It says
E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

you cannot install this update via CWM..
Read the OP carefully..
Boot into STOCK RECOVERY.. Not CWM..
ie, install 1.33...exe again and you will get back stock recovery..

nope....everything is a little bit smoother, but i think that was also with the 1.52 version....seems that they only fixed some bugs so far
Oh yeah, nice one.. I'll have to test this as it's official, unlike the leaked ones we had. Great job!
As a side note, you won't get S-ON if you have S-OFF'ed via XTC Clip when doing ROM updates. So it's safe

You don't have to worry about getting the usb debugging on.... just make sure you connect the phone in flash mode... to do so press the volume down button and connect to your pc while the volume button is pressed... a green led will flash once stating that it has been connected in flash mode to the pc... make sure your pc has drivers installed for sony and flashmode and fastboot mode... to do so install flashtool and it will install the important drivers even if it doesn't then you can go to the installation directory of flash tool on your pc and install the flashmode drivers manually. after that it's an easy process to flash the firmware and this is not a custom rom this is the stock 4.4.4 firmware customized india version. PS don't use windows 8 use windows 7.
Thanks bro finally I got my working phinr back?

When I was trying to flash this rom that 2 thinks keep me stressed
1 USB DEBUG and 2 Unknown source ?
Once again I opened my cwm recovery option as usual and there I changed system (umnount) to mount and again try to flash this rom,,, and what I see the flashing process completely done without any error,,????? and my phone is on my hand in working condition with stock rom ? I just don't know that after mounting system ,everything goes perfect, without asking for these above given two error msg... I think that process in cwm recovery activated both (usv debug and unknown source) ?????????

Great...this happened to me once and turned out my windows didn't have proper drivers installed. Glad your phone is back to normal. Just keep it that way.

[HELP]
I flashed this ROM on my phone, it does work.
But, when I go in CWM Recovery and format system, data, cache, etc. then flash this ROM, my phone gets stuck at the Sony logo screen.
Got any ideas why?
And, where can I get the stock ROM (which includes everything obviously, it must be more than 1 GB I guess)
Here is link bro it is( Indian ftf firmware)for Sony xperia E3 Dual[D2212] https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3ji0QHsh0tkUk00M19Ma3lTX2M/view

Already tried this, doesn't solve my problem but nvm.
It works for me bro, that's why I am sure about this firmware, you have downloaded D2212 boot img file first from net and then flash it,then you can get your cwm recovery back, and after that only you can flash this this rom,
My net slow now to can't attach d2212 boot imag flie here, may ne next time bro,the size of boot img is 15,326kb and 15326kb

That doesn't make sense really.
As long as we can get to fastboot mode and necessary drivers are installed, we can flash ROMs via fastboot.
And, if we can get to flash mode and drivers are installed then we can flash ROMs via flashmode.
Flashing boot.img only gets us to CWM Recovery.
But, I'll do as you said and post back
