[Q] Desire S stuck on boot - cant get to recovery

Hi,
I will prefix this (as there are a few people around with this problem who can get into recovery mode) with the fact that holding down Vol- on boot is not getting me to the recovery / bootloader screen.
I have a rooted HTC Desire S (rooted it nearly a year ago, so info about the hboot etc is a distant memory).
Anyhoo, I decided to have a play about with one of the ICS roms but it was a bit buggy and the camera drivers still aren't working for video so I decided to go back to Endymion V3.4 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1310845
I did a full wipe, installed base rom, installed optional addons and then upgraded to 3.4 - booted fine into the OS so set about getting my system set up the way I like it.
I noticed that endy came with a theme installer so clicked on one of them to have a look, it asked for root, said it was installed and would need to reboot to take effect...
SO
the problem is, it now won't boot and is stuck on the white HTC boot screen.
Holding vol+/- and power buttons reset it but it just ends up back hanging on the boot screen.
Have tried pulling battery and trying again.
Holding Volume Down when powering up is no longer doing anything
So, I either need a saviour to point me in the direction of a fix.. or a kindly sould to break it to me gently when they tell me my phone has gone to the USB Dock in the sky..
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

update:
After pulling battery again, pulling out sim and sd cards, booting with vol- held down, i got into recovery. Am going to try and flash a different rom after doing a full wipe, I'll update once it's done but any insights in the meanwhile will still be appreciated

Sorted, cleared the thing out, stuck reaper CM rom on it, rebooted and everything is peachy for now.

Curious if anyone knows why this might have happened?

because you didnt flash the addon zip which was released alongside endymon and then tried to use the addons,it does say on the screen do not use these unless you have installed the addons

[Q] Request for help with HTC Evo 3D ROMs

Hello guys. I really need your help right now.
I have rooted HTC Evo 3D GSM. I have used this technique: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248231
And I have used ROM KingCobra3D. But recently I have problems with 2D photos capture. Result is just grey stripes. So I have decided to restore my original ROM backup and perform just official ICS update. But, when I have started to install the update. It just shows white triangle and orange [!] with blue android.
I have readed one topic about this and I realised that I cant perform official ICS update. So I have decided to just install another ROM. But.. I have big problem now. When I install some custom ROM with classic DATA/CACHE WIPE and WIPE DALVIK CACHE. But... when I install the ROM. It lags in boot animation... I have tried to wait at least 15 minutes and nothing happened. I have tried to do hard reset, but it had same problem.. still lag in boot animation. It was Evolver3D ROM... so I have decided to use another.. but every other ROM stucks in boot animation. When I get to boot animation, it just reboot and in boot animation it reboots again. Only rom which is working ic Cyanogenmod 9, but I dont want it. So I am practicaly stuck in original ROM. Backup works at least.
Do you have any helpful tips? If the solution is not exactly simple, I would appreciate help via Skype or something like that.

[Q] JB wont boot

Hi All,
I have an unlocked HTC Desire S with HBoot 2.00.002. I am running miuiandroind_saga_ics-3.2.22.zip. I tried to install the latest release from miuiandroid_saga_jb_3.7.26.zip. But the phone wont boot. It just shows a blank black screen. I know the phone is on but the screen stays blank.
I have done the regular, clear dalvik cache, batt status...etc for a clean install.
I tried other JB roms, ICS roms. And all of show the same blank screen. I am forced to go back to miuiandroind_saga_ics-3.2.22.zip. Which is the only ROM that seems to be working. I am not sure how to start debugging the problem and fix it. Any help is appreciated.

[Q] Trickdroid flashing issues

Hi,
I unlocked original htc bootloader from htcdev and it went through fine without any issues (I didn't root). Later i downloaded trickdroid v3.0 & tweak pkgs from http://trickdroid.org/category/desire-hd/ and followed the instructions listed there. In the first attempt i installed rom, but without rebooting into new rom i applied tweak as well and then rebooted. I just got white screen with htc logo and it remained there for quite some time. Sensing i might have done something wrong i booted into recovery, wiped data/cache, reinstalled rom again and rebooted (without applying the tweak pkg). However even in this case all i see is white screen with logo and it's been like this for more than 20 mins.
My question therefore is - is this normal for it to be in this mode for such a long time, how long it usually takes to finish?
My concern - did i brick my phone and is there any way i can flash another rom that might work or go back to stock to be on the safe side.
Any help/advice highly appreciated. Hoping someone can help me out.

Stuck after lockscreen

So I havent used the Phone for some months. I turned it on and reset it so i have a clean phone. But it never turned on properly afterwards because it got stuck on the HTC splash for over half an hour.
So I rooted it, unlocked the bootloader and flashed twrp recovery to flash old.splatterhand's odexed 4.2.2. But sadly I can't get past the lock screen. I can only see the top bar and cant press anything.
The viper rom has a pretty similar problem.
Whats the matter with it. Any one having an idea?
