Just a small tip from me(not trying to take you down!!!): QuickPic is 3 times faster than this one. Can simply be installed from the Play Store. Pictures load faster, and browsing your pics is a breeze.

The Reason Album is slow on our devices is simple... It was made for phones with stronger processors. The Album app on my SP and V open real quick in contrast to my Xperia J that is why it is "slow"

Well I haven't noticed it, but someone else did. This is just a 190 KB apk which will let you play 4 videos simultaneously, and obviously you can have sound from only one.

This app taken from Lenovo smartphone and so many xperia Z owners using it, all the people saying that it give noise free images.
Please install this app in xperia z1 and check the quality of pictures and share your reviews here
by doing this we will finally come to know that why there is noise in the xperia Z1 pictures. if noise is still there then it is the hardware camera problem
if noise is not appear then it will be the software issue.
This will helpful for all the people who want to purchase xperia z1, and for those also who already have it......
Note This app have 13 MP high resolution so you can not take 20 MP pictures from it, Try to take pictures in 8 MP with 16:9 and 4:3 ratios

Third party app like ( Lenovo , zoom fx ) have there own libs and other picture taking tools
if software of the app is not build properly then we get lags in output result. Xperia Z stock camera app gives noise in pictures because its camera app not make perfect
Lenovo super camera app is very famous now, because by using this app we get very sharp and noise free images
So by using Lenovo camera app we will finally come to know that the noise is still there or not
if noise is still there then it is the hardware camera problem
if noise is not appear then it will be the software issue.
doesn't hurt to try i suppose, gonna give this a go and see what its like in comparison.
Edit: so I keep getting an error when I try to start the app, saying camera is in use, turn off the other camera programs before using.
So I tried a task manager and killed camera but it hasn't helped, any ideas?
P.s. I think root isn't working right since I switched to superuser from vroot

I have tried taking couple of pictures but I can't really tell the difference. Some picture the stock app took it slightly better and some this app took it slightly better (I think it has to do with my hand shaking sometimes and not an app is better than the other)
Right now I am using LGCamera to take videos and it clealry is able to capture videos with 25mbit/s on 60fps without any hickup whatsoever!
Pictures look slighty better too.
So you should definitely check it out

Since latest,firmware, the stock app takes a better photo. Although that is 20MP manual vs 13MP supercam
Xperia Z was great by the combo Honami core+Lenovo
I would like to install Lenovo on my X1 too, but it continue to ask SMS permissions and antivirus don't like it so much
Guys please share your thoughts about the good things and enjoying features of xperia L over the other manufacturer phones so that more new guys will get this phone...And make the user's to enjoy this.

I think the best thing about Xperia L is it's smoothness. It's a very fast smartphone, it doesn't have any hiccups like other phones have, and overall the software is very well polished.
I'd say there's more room for improvement when it comes to the camera - low light shots are quite tricky and there are loads of noise and speckles if you're in a hurry, but if you take your time to adjust the settings, you can get very decent pictures

It doesn't install on our stock firmware, because we didn't get it with Sony's Smart Social Camera. Maybe this will work when you flash that to your phone first.

Well SONY is like an a****le to its own phones... they made apps and updates to some particular phones and let other phones, as good as others and better, fall behind, for what? Thes did dissapoint me...

Sony should update the info for Xperia M

Sony say, Let's update it to 4.3 and give it a social camera!
Whereas the actual Xperia with a camera designed by Sony’s leading camera expertise gets 4.2 and no social camera. Honestly the focus and lag is rubbish. My iPhone 4 is better and that's years older.

The focus is much better in Xperia L but Sony camera software is really bad. GO TO Facebook page of xperia l, a person merged libraries of xperia m in L and he have got amazing results

Have you used an iPhone 4? Basically it focuses and when you press the shutter, the photo is taken, no blur.
The Xperia L, focuses, looks great, you press the shutter and the phone refocuses, so really great if you take photos of something that is stationary (building, landscape) but useless for anything which moves slightly.
I have a 17 month old boy and it's nearly impossible to take photos blur free, with the iPhone, nearly every photo is perfect. I will post one from each so you can compare. I got the xperia L to replace the iPhone 4. Unless Sony do something with the software, it's going on eBay.

The focus of the XL is a problem. Touch to focus works, but press the shutter and it refocuses. It takes me several tries to get the actual focus I want. This is more apparent when trying to shoot on macro or close moving objects.
I really don't know what's wrong with Sony's software team.
Honestly it's useless as it is.
The annoying this is, Exmor-R, Exmor-RS sensors are in iPhone, Samsung phones and they take amazing photos but the actually Sony phones suck. Definitely a software issue as using the google camera app the camera focuses and take a photo (rather than refocusing).

It won't install on our XL. Its an addon for sony smart camera and will be available for those mobiles which got the smart camera app. Thank you sony for leaving us and fooling us. I think this might be my last sony smartphone. You are worst at customer support. Even XM has got 4.3 and smart camera app but we with 8mp camera are left alone and no sign of update.
Really annoying sony.
Hi, as we all know this phone has good sensor (similar to previous sony xperia z series) but the pictures are still not that good.
Can u guys suggest any good camera apps u have tried, which takes better pictures compared to stock app.
