[ROM] [PORT] [4.3] [AOKP] Android Open Kang Project - Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus S7500

Hey.
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they’re “baked in” by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above. With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.

i read that this kind of errors happen because the system can't write some temporary files, maybe free some space and restart the compilation?

wow man ur gr8 , long live brajesh
but 1 question :
whats the difference between port and build from source ??
cause on earlier CM9 builds,, AOKp was not booting when ported from other devices?
so kayant started building it from scratch
now this port , i assume that AOKp is finally booting with our JB tree normally ??
My opinion will be here

Main difference between port and source is with source you can always build the latest update as it comes out that's how a device can get offical support if the team decides to pick up the device or can be unofficially updated by the people who have ported the rom to their device. While with a port it's not always possible and also it can be difficult sometimes like you have seen brajesh.sharma87 and sesme talked about libandroid_runtime.so being the enemy that stops ports from booting
Source code = github work
Porting = rom zip copying of files
Both are equally difficult but working with source code requires a lot more time :cyclops:
wow.. look nice..
Any review on its stability and swiftness? I might try if its good.
Oh boy....can't wait for this......defy rules them all......variety in roms increasing day by day......cm7,9,10 paranoid(ICS and jb)miui, wiui, backtrack,Ubuntu, maybe win 95 in a few days, and now aokp(ICS and jb)!!!!!!!!....loving each n every one of them.....thnx a tonne...!!!!!!

Hey Community, so far there was no device tree for the combination tilapia/cm10.2 so i decided to do my own one as i still have tilapia and want to compile cm / cm based roms from source for it. So here it is.

Is it possible to enable Bluetooth-Tethering for the CM10.2 tilapia builds? On 10.1 this is not available and I don't know if this is a technical limitation or just a "forgotten" feature that needs to be enabled for tilapia devices.
Well done m8!

Installed and it's working like a charm!
Thank you!
Did anyone already tried to flash this over an official 10.1 build? Did your device catch fire or could you continue without a factory reset?
Yes please is any wipe needed or just flashing Rom and gapps?

You shouldn't have to, but I would do it anyway. Luckily we have a nice sticky thread about that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2175086
Currently we don't have vendor blobs and other external repos for tilapia. From where u sync the repos? Slim? Or?
Can u list what/where the repos in your local manifest?
Thanks
Are you guys going to merge your changes with the official CM repos or are you going to maintain your own unofficial builds?

What is Evervolv?
Evervolv is an AOSP (Android Open Source Project) rom. We're fully open sourced and encourage it with no restrictions. The work put into this rom is community driven and and Evervolv Project is made up of numerous members and contributors. And this whole time we were receiving 4.3 nightlies
Right now the current source we are working on is Jellybean (Android 4.3.x).
Current version: 3.3.0p1
Nightlies (starting 8.28.2013) available for testing. Once issues are re mediated, a release build will be posted.
Pre-Requisites:
1. CWM or TWRP
2. S-Off, or thorough understanding of how you work around S-On to get the kernel included in this ROM flashed. FAUX, CM kernels are not compatible and will result in functionality issues if it boots at all.
3. Desire to be helpful in an appropriate manner. Logcats, dmesgs, etc are very helpful, and necessary to assist.
4. Full data wipe/factory reset
Downloads:
http://www.evervolv.com/devices/speedy - Named "ev_speedy-nightly-2013.xx.xx-squished.zip"
This requires gapps for 4.3, do not use 4.2 gapps.
Where do we get the GApps?
Edit: I got them from HERE. 20130813
Edit2: Wow this works great right out of the box! Nightly 10-2
thanks, runs great so far. only issue i see right now is i cant take screenshots, keeps telling me storage might be in use but its not.
Confirmed on my end. Screenshot isn't working for me either. I'll try to get a logcat later tonight.
Here is the logcat I got when attempting to get a screen shot. I hope this helps.

AOKP-ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT
What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

Super :good:
Hello,
i flash this rom on my lenovo k30-w, and now, i have a great android = D.
I have no bug for now. The rom is very fluid, I like it a lot.
the only things I notice are the camera, it works but the picture is distorted. but I never use it then ...
just before I was under cm12, and I could not flash another rom.
then I find this one, thank you again!
