MODDED HBOOT v4 2.22.0000 updated 4/16/2014 - HTC One Mini

Must be s-off. Supercid is not required anymore.
Fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip hboot.zip
fastboot reboot
if you like the mod donate a dollar gotta get a metal plate put in my foot. Be nice to walk again.haha shoot me a pm if ya have questions or a request.
This zip will update you to hboot 2.22 and partition layout will remain the same. So no more modifying scripts to flash a new cyanogenmod nightly
# Red text removed
# Pink entering recovery text removed
# will show you are S-on even though clearly you are not
# Tampered flag removed
# works with revone to lock and relock
# will show "locked" instead of "relocked" but will show "unlocked" just for convenience
You could use this hboot to send it in for warranty repair.haha noone would be able to tell the difference from hboot anyways

What exactly is it for? What will change when I flash it?
Gesendet von meinem HTC One mini mit Tapatalk 4

This is to remove the red text saying this is for developers etc on the htc white screen at boot? If so great! But am I going to have to reinstall my rom afterwards because of the boot loader locking and unlocking? I have s off and super cid and using Magio R3 with jmz kernel and twrp.
Also I'm currently using my phone with the boot loader unlocked. Can I continue to use my phone with an unlocked boot loader after using this. Cheers!
Sent from my HTC One mini using Xparent Green Tapatalk 2

Is this is only method or way to remove that from the boot? Are you able to flash ruu and that red text will dissapear?

The ruu will but will come back as soon as you root.

It was what I was looking for. Thank you so much.

Wait, what if it is s-off and locked with everything on stock?

You'll want to unlock boot loader first just for safety.

No matter what Rom you are on it will work without reflashing Rom. I'm using deodexed 4.3 and I have the att po582200 version of the HTC m4

Don't get me wrong here guys, but what is it about a little sentence in a pink font that makes you long for it to be gone? Is it worth the risk of creating One Mini brick?
cmvienneau has given great instructions, and credit is due - XDA is all about innovation, mods, customisation, and it's a beautiful thing!
The reason I am posting this, is because a couple of years ago, a guide for getting rid of the Samsung big Yellow triangle shown on boot if the phone is modded had a fat finger mistake in it, and about 20 people had a smartbrick.
If you want to get rid of cosmetic things like the pink legal warning on the mini, PLEASE make sure you KNOW what you are doing, and the potential consequences if you do not.
Again, great work cmvienneau!

I agree completely. I actually bricked on mini making this.lol but now it's done and worth it I'm oCD bout little things like that. If you brick it. One year warranty so I say brick away this mod works through trial and error. I currently using it. And 4.3 s-off and unlocked.
Sent from my HTC One mini using Tapatalk

I'm also very OCD about little things like this, everything has to be perfect for me. Though I am worried about bricking my beloved phone. I'm 50/50 on trying this out, but knowing what I'm like I most likely will.
one little thing I want to be clear on though is wether or not this will wipe my phone? I ask because in your last step you say to unlock using the token thru htc dev, and usually this wipes the phone. does this mod skip this phase? I know you said it won't wipe I just want to make sure. Cheers.
Sent from my HTC One mini using Xparent Green Tapatalk 2

Just back up Rom and save to computer problem solved but yes it does wipe. Idk if it wipes data media? But if it does. Save backup folder on pc.
Sent from my HTC One mini using Tapatalk

I had my new mini in two days.haha just tell em it doesn't turn on and play like a dumb blonde. Done this several times with various phones. att and Verizon are both easy. If you feel like experimenting further.haha but this mod is really all we need. Now we just need cyanogenmod

[Q] Why would my one s be s-off, with a red htc disclaimer :S

Hi, as my nexus s has recently been lost i decided its time to put a custom rom on my one s, i was about to unlock the bl on it and noticed the tamper banner on the bl screen, its also s-off with a cid of 11111111, i have attatched a pic of the bl screen for reference, As far as i know the one series cant as of yet cannot be s-off'ed like the older htc devices, how would this be possible on my device? It was bought from brand new quite a while ago and until now has always run the the stock rom with no root etcetc.. The only thing i can think of is i had it unlocked not long after purchasing it but not sure what method the shop used. When i access the bootloader on my one s i can choose what to do fastboot or recovery etc etc but on this one s i get the red htc disclaimer like pictured below when i select recovery, i have the latest cwm touch flashed but cannot get into it.. So how can i access recovery?? any help would be appreciated
Sorry about image quality its taken on an old webcam
Your bootloader is still locked, that would be my guess. That's why the pink banner at the top says "locked". Unlock that and you should have access to recovery.
Sent from my H1S using XDA Premium.
I have since unlocked the bootloader, and still getting the same problem, recovery just won't load, as with old HTC devices such as sensation, desire s, DHD bootloader unlock was not relevant if you had s-off not sure about the one series, my main question is how it's become s-off in the first place
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
Keep the bootloader locked, don't use the HTCDev method to unlock it. You're extremely lucky to have S-OFF, this means that you can easily get your warranty back running an RUU, changing CID and fastboot oem writesecureflag 3. This will make it S-ON again, and no trace of it being S-OFF will be there.
The current method is HTCDev, which submits a Unique Device Identifier so they can decline your warranty due to an unlocked bootloader.
S-OFF is better than HTCDev for flashing ROMs, as it means you don't have to flash the boot.img seperately.

Hi thanks for your responce. Since I took those pics the bl has been unlocked, warranty I'm not too fussed about, the main issue I have is how its become s-off in the first place, and when I try to boot cwm I get the red message pictured in my first post, I've tried to flash a recovery via fastboot and.Rom manager and no luck what so ever, I've tried com touch and cwm standard aswell as twrp I have the s4 device and Im stuck lol. Ahh thanks for clearing that up, I did wonder, all though it does show up even on a fully stock system, no root, stock recovery, as you can see from the pics in first post the BL was still locked when those snaps were taken, even though its s-off it would not let me flash a recovery for him without unlocking the BL after I typed the fastboot command it said not allowed or something similar.

I have no idea how its like that, but that's normally why it shows up.
Maybe it has to do with it being S-off?
I do know however, that with S-off you can remove the red text. I'm sure someone here would know what to do.

You get the red text if your boot image is not signed by HTC. Regardless of s-on/off.
And afaik, you get **TAMPERED** if your recovery image is not HTC signed.

The s-off device of mine had tampered before I even unlocked the bootloader or even flashed custom recovery, I only bought it to sell but no I'm unsure, the one s and one x both seem to be.doing well even without s-off. As for the red message it only appears with custom Rom on my device, if on stock its not there.

[Q] Does anyone have the black T-Mobile One S? What's the hboot version?

So I was considering selling my Silver/Blue gradient T-Mobile One S to purchase a Black T-Mobile MOA One S and I got to thinking...
Does anyone have this new official T-Mobile Black One S? Not a modified gradient version or an International version being used on T-Mobile.
I'm curious.. What is the hboot version on this new T-Mobile MOA Black One S? I currently have the 1.09 hboot on my gradient blue and I can flash radio/boot from recovery.
I'm assuming this new version of the One S is going to have the 1.14 or higher hboot but I'd still like to find out from someone who actually has the device.
Bump.. nobody knows?
I have the new black one s. Don't know the hboot, but I'm stock unrooted so whatever the hboot for any s4 will be the same out the box

I'm with you on that and well too be honest even on hboot .14 I don't miss it being lower, thanks to programs like Flash Image Gui flashing kernels and recoveries besides not downgrading radio I'm really not missing out on much. People seem to get stuck up on this for some bizarre reason.

Help with root?

Hey what's up guys this is my first time posting in thus forum.. I'm not new to HTC devices, not new to flashing ROMs and what not.. I have a cousin that recently got dooped on a crappy trade, and now she's using an Inspire 4g. I've searched you guys threads, its hard to tell what's what, but I have a phone that's having a random reboot about every 7 minutes or so. So of course I factory reset from boot loader, it is s-on with 2.00.0030 hboot. Its running android 2.3.5 with software 3.20.502.52 71ord.
Can anyone point me to the most recently updated RUU for this software, or point me to a recently updated root method? I see you guys have s-off.. That would be sick also lol.. Any help is MUCH appreciated.

That Is the latest att update. To root that device, there's only one tool: The advanced ace hack kit..find it here:

I really need some help with HTC One XL

I bought this phone outright, and I don't like the Telstra network so I put an Optus SIM in. Which works just fine, however I now have an issue which may or may not be related. I have unlocked my bootloader, and have obtained root. I cannot get s-off however, tried all the methods in this forum. And when I try to install a new Rom, such as cm10 and all nightly versions, venom viper, and all other Roms I have tried I cannot get passed the start up logo (or I just get a pure black screen). Yes I have waited and waited for extended periods of time but it won't load. No I'm not new to rooted phones, and have followed all insructions properly. Pls help me, I really hate all the Telstra bloatware on my phone.

Not necessarily. It depends on your hboot version I believe.
I've never had to flash the boot image and I haven't done s-off.
@OP - did you need to s-off for any specific reason? You don't need to do this to flash a custom ROM. It's not required unless you want to reove the tampered text from the boot loader.
It makes life easier to have s-off. Besides I have issues with not having full access to something I have bought outright....lol

I s-off'd my HOXL because it makes it much safer from my own boneheaded mistakes. If I had done something silly like flashing the OTA RUU then I wouldn't be completely screwed.

I already have permission to open a thread and share here. There is one font that needs to be resized which is the clock, and some other images which need slight adjustment. The keyboard needs to be brought down a little. Its currently raised slightly too high. I have sent it to three people for testing. One has given feed back already and he is pretty excited about it lol. Still waiting on word from the other two. Once I fix these minor issues, I will be sharing it. It will work for all K2 variants
