[Q] cannot update to sense 5

i hear there is already official OTA update sense 5 to butterfly
but i didnt get it
before, i use m7 rom now i flash back to stock rom and relocked but
when i check it say up to date
my butterfly singapore set cid 044 hboot 1.40
anybody can help me?

Singapore set isn't getting OTA yet. (No idea when)
I have been checking for software updates every few hours.

BTW i want the official rom not custom
i have tried several custom rom
have a lot of bug
i got systemUI stopped working , launcher ,etc
i dont wanna try unstable ROM anymore
give me a headache

Could you please do a nandroid backup (ie TWRP) and upload/share the dump?
Currently I'm on a custom rom and in order to get the update as well, I'd have to restore everything to stock.
Would be easier to flash the new version via recovery...

I'll do a backup but first need to know how to get the stock recovery out of the phone otherwise i can't go back to stock

i don't think that just a backup will work you also need to update hboot to 1.55

i bought second hand htc butterfly and it was rooted and have a custom rom!
The rom is good but the battery runingout so faaast!
And the mobile get so warmed if i run any game or app!
I delete the root from super su in order to restore the orignal rom
Im now confused what to do!!!
i want to back to stock rom to recive updates!

U need HTC drivers and setup adb first and u need ya cid then get s off and super cid then look for stock from fir Ur cid then get updates ****

The best thing to do will be install a custom rom and then as the official updates come along update them manually or wait for custom roms based on the updates. To do that you have to first download the drivers, unlock your bootloader, s-off your device then install the custom rom. You can visit the development page and learn how to s-off you phone and then how to install custom roms.

As for the battery drain your phone might not be calibrated properly. To fix that just install an app that whipes battery stats from the play store and follow the instructions

you can straight away install a 4.3 rom

I recommend the s off and super cid because installing 4.3 without updating firmware will cause problems like battery drainage. But hey it's your phone do wat u want

You need to be completely stock..stock recovery,boot and removed root...otherwise ota will fail...

Download stock 4.2.2 for your device and flash it through TWRP...Then from the stock zip extract boot.img and recovery.img and flash it in bootloader..please dont root when it asks..Then reboot the device..After reboot go to settings-about-software update and download the update..it should install successfully..

I've looked into your thread for OTA collection, but those are for x920e Europe.
Appreciate if you can point out how or where to find x920d update.

I'm not sure those are for 4.3. I'm currently on 4.2.2 with build number 2.33.707.3, the link you provided only go as far as 2.28.709.3.

Q. Why is this radio recommended?
A. This radio has been proved better then the 1.20 radio by some of the users of One S and enables HSPA in 4.3 Sense based Roms like liberty.
Q. Its not working for me as it should, what should I do?
A. Revert to your older radio.

if u're on hboot 2.15 then no. S-Off makes life easy, go for it

I'm on hboot 2.13 But i guess its the same.. The problem is that I tried to s-off many times with different methods but with no sucess, so i gave up :-/ haha anyway thanks

Theoretically yes, it's compatible with any phone. Flash and see, if it's not good, it's easy to revert

I second that. I've even found I get HSDPA in places I couldn't even get 3g. I think it even works better than the sense 4 stock Rom.
