Hello guys,
As I didn't succed to find an artical discussing SEAndroid so I decided to make this thread
To my understanding, SEAndroid, is a security enhanced Android version built by NSA which uses SELinux as it backbone, this version enforce the separation between apps, and thus it solves the critical issues coming from mallicious apps.
It is totally Open source, so everyone can download it and use it

any apps actually made yet?
Android Development Studio is a new Linux distro set to be released June 6. It includes all the necessary tools to create and port ROMS, build and edit apps, and more!
Based on openSUSE 12.1 and powered by GNOME 3, Android Development Studio is going to be the perfect OS for Android Devs. There will be free lifetime updates of software, and like other Linux variants it will see an update every six months.

Hmm... I don't like GNOME 3, so I prefer setup the necessary tools manually on Linux Mint 13 MATE, with support until 2017

Whats the deal with this. I have to build it myself?
Not sure if this is posted in the right section sorry if it is but..
May I request for this 'not-so-popular' device to have a forum/section? Me and a couple others are working on this device' development, so it would be easier for us to talk about development or ROMs etc. Thanks!

I would like a forum for this device to be made as well. It would be very helpful
I happened to find a rom when searching on GOO.IM a few weeks ago - at the time, the ROM - "PROBAM" was only available for the I9505 - NOTE 2 and HTC ONe I believe - I wrote the Dev and asked for an ATT Version and he gladly obliged. There is now a new update (yesterday)_ and it's even better than it was when I first found it.
. IT IS UNBEIEVABLE! Very fast - very smooth - and tons of options for personalizing your phone - I don't believe it is "lokified" so I think you will need to run auto loki when you flash, just in case.
Here is a link to their web site that will get you to the downloads: http://www.probam.net/romdownloads/
Here is the ProBam web site where you can get more information about the ROM: http://www.probam.net/probam-for-s4/
I have nothing to do with this ROM - I am not a developer - only spreading the word for what I believe is a first rate rom that is really very special.
If you try it and you like too - Don't thank me for telling you about it - - thank the Developer Codexc for the work he has done creating this rom.
I hope I am not out of place for 'reporting" on the rom's availability - but it is an awesome rom that deserves the attention and should be talked about. If I am out of place for posting this, please have the moderators delete this thread/post. ENJOY!
I wonder if this is a rename from jellybam. Also if they have permission and such.

I suppose this is similar to Jelly bam - but it is definitely NOT a kang of Jelly Bam. The devs on this rom have followed all the rules (something that the Jelly Bam Devs did not do) when building this rom - and they have a great track record of building a very good rom for a number of different phones.

Thread reopened. It has been requested that the dev post proper credits that they are using PAC as a base and hopefully they will. In the meantime in good faith Admin has allowed the threads to be reopened.

Never mind. I had to change tbs source location as seen in this post I found on pacmans ROM thread...
try changing the source of the titanium backup to storage/emulated/legacy/titaniumbackup. 4.3 actually looks at ..../0/titaniumbackup by default.

CM 12.1 compiled from source with Uber Toolchain 4.8. Any issues that are in official CM are present here. I was looking for an updated LP rom, and most have switched to MM, so I did this and learned how to build in the process.
I will try to update every weekend. You should know how to install a ROM, i am not a developer nor can I include any suggestions or fixes.

Well, as far as I understood the goal is not to build more efficiently, i.e. that the development chain runs better on the developer's computer, but to build better code. This means that the built code is supposed to run faster on the target system, i.e. on the Android device.
I think this article http://www.xda-developers.com/interview-with-developers-of-sabermod-hyper-toolchains/ nicely explains why people use different toolchains.
Citation from the mentioned article: (...) allow for better use of a device’s hardware.

OK, so in fewer words:
NOT: build code efficiently
BUT: build efficient code
