That's because AOSP doesn't support changing fonts. You have to download an App from the Play store, but you need to have root.

You tried the wrong one. For this App you need Root and the font files! I don't know if APKs will work.

Hey guys, I installed cyanogenmod 10 on my galaxy fit. But the default search bar is not visible on my home screens. Also I installed velvet.apk.
Still no use. Please guys help.
The same happened with me! I found no solution to this. I installed the ICS version of Google Now and GoogleVoiceSearch.apk in my GFit but as soon as I tap on it, the search crashes. Apparently there is nothing I am able to do for this. I am with the same problem....

After rooting my S3, I got a little over zealous uninstalling all the bloatware. As such, I mistakenly deleted the alarm clock (ya know, the one that works with S Voice). Does anyone have the apk for the stock touchwiz alarm clock? The only downloads I can find are modded versions ported for other phones.
Thanks in advance.
You should be able to download a stock rom and search the zip. Normally they are located in the \system\app directory. Make sure you match permissions with other system apps.

I downloaded "BeansStockR3.1". Since I am a new member, I can't post a direct link, but it was the only google result when searching for exactly that. Also, I PMed you a link directly to the ClockPackage.apk.

Do you mind PM'ing me a direct link to the ClockPackage.apk?! =D
I typically put all these apk's in a box or dropbox account. Comes in handy for sharing with friends n stuff.
Here's a dropbox for 4.0.4 ClockPackage

And if needed the 4.1.1 from JellyWiz Rom

Hi there, this is how i fixed my alarm problem
firstly download the clock apk relavent to your phone, i think that there are 3 different ones provided in this thread.
Secondly you need to download something from the play store called "Rom toolbox pro" its £3 but if you ask in the forums here someone can probably point you to a free one that does the same thing.
make sure your phone is rooted, install and run Rom toolbox pro. click on Root Browser, navigate to where you put the APK on your phone, copy and move it to root/system/app. Once you have moved the apk find it in the app folder, click and hold it for a couple of seconds. A menu should popup with options, click on "permissions" set them so they are like this. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2pphiyo&s=6 If you are using a different app you will need to set your permissions accordingly, yet again im sure there is someone on here clever enough to help with that.
Now just restart your phone, the APK will run on boot.
These are the exact steps i followed and they worked for me. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2h353dl&s=6
I hope you have the same luck
Steve
Sorry if this app has already been mentioned but I just downloaded iFont from the Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kapp.ifont&hl=en
It now works with the Galaxy Note 3 flawlessly and for 80p I upgraded to allow custom fonts to be installed. I now have my SegoeWP installed again and all without root access.
How can I get this one to work that I used on my nexus 4? It's called robotolightfont.zip
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
you could also just change them using the option under Settings>Device Tab>Fonts

Well yes I think we all know that! but there are only 3 or 4 different ones to choose from built in. This app lets you download a huge amount more.

If you can find the actual .ttf font file in the zip , you extract it to the custom folder (mentioned in the help section of the iFont app) and install it from there. My favourite font (SegoeWP) was extracted and installed this way.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately when I downloaded one of the fonts and extracted it to the ifont app, although it installed it could not be set. I got the incompatibility error message.

What fonts work with the Galaxy Gear? I'm looking for a list of recognized windows fonts for the Gear.
Team,
I have been searching for an app that will allow me to open an app (Note Anytime), from the lock screen. I have researched may apps that apparently can do this but I haven't found one that is compatible with my XZT.
So, has anyone found such an app that works with this kit?
Thanks

Install Xposed Framework and then install Gravity Box. It has what you want. Your XTZ should be rooted.

Thanks for the tip - but I cannot root the XTZ or I will lose SkyGo! I need an un-rooted solution.

Not sure if valid but, Try widgetlocker from play store

Hi I have bug with my fonts, I can't change it, all fonts are the same as you can Se on my pictures and sometimes in some apps and notifications there are fonts missing or some of letters are bold.. What should I do to fix this? Thanx
I don't know if it is the ROM issue or phone issue. I use ifont app to change my fonts. You need root to use this though.
