Hey everyone is that 'normal that the standby frequency is something like 2.2ghz one core active ? Nothing running background ..

What is standby frequency and how are you getting information?
Phone should deep sleep at 300 MHz. Whilst awake it can be using any frequency. There is always things running in the background. Run command "top" in terminal emulator to see top processes. Only time nothing in background is when powered off

I watch my frequency directly with system monitor .. And when I do nothing it stays at max speed but only one core active .. With my n4 it was staying at 300 MHz ..

Mine fluctuates. Doesn't stick on full. However I run a custom kernel

have you changed your cpu governor? that sounds like you set the governor to performance.
if so, set it back to ondemand

I'm Using razodroid v4.0 and it's great but i need more battery saving so ,,
what are the best settings for no frills ?
my defaults are ..
max 600
min 245
governor : ondemand
i/o scheduler : noop
thanks in advance pls reply soon
Battery saving best is 600 245 power save and sio
dont use powersave! you'll face a lot of lags and re-boots!
use set cpu instead of no-frills.
min:245 max:480 (use 600 if ur rom lags but 480 is enough for me )
governor:smartassv2 (actually lulzactive is best for battery life but you wont find it in galaxy fit roms :/)
i/o:sio
now in set cpu go to profiles section. Create new profile, choose "SCREEN OFF" and set min:122 and max:245 governor: ondemand priority:50
but disable profiles if you listen to songs with headphones.
But bro I read in.forum that never lower than 245 mhz

huh? why so? and where exaclty you read it??
becouse they use same battery , eaven sometime 122 use more, and phone is realy slow opening afther locked on 122 . btw no need to set cpu profiles when using smartassv2 or lilgv2 because they have it own sleeping profile .
i read that if below 122 your phone cant overcome that frequency and if your phone on dead sleep than your phone wud me not reacheble or will show people calling as switchof...and if difference of frequency is more than more battery consumption check xda search about io and governor a guy explained every io and governor...check that

Still using it until now...

vr better or sio???
Sio is better. Then deadline and noop. Btw sio maybe give slight less benchmark score. But it doesent matter

thanx bro
i don't have smartassv2 but i have smartass :/
thanks guys
U got maybe lilgv2 ? That is moded smartasv2 for mini/fit by squadzone.

Sio is good for benchmarking...
But I like Vr more because it so fast when you try to open any apps...
Just try n see...

600
245
lilgv2
vr
i'll feedback next hours
I still sugest sio over anything. It has been proven that is best overall performance and battery

Hi,
The best frequency is the normal Frequency, it looks like:
Max 604MHz
Min 122MHz
Conservative (for DeepSleep)
if you think, its ok that the phone damages a littlebit everyday, you can use this:
Max 806MHz
Min 122 or 245MHz
Yeah, I prefer a frequency which is not over 750MHz and not under 604MHz... It'll not damage your phone so hard.
My special Tip: Use Adrenaline Engine 4.3 CM or SlaidyBoost. Then it's quick like a hell.
Greetings.

thank you so much!
Is it a good idea to set a profile in SetCPU for when the screen is off to force only the lowest cpu speed? Will this prevent deep sleep?
Please post all questions in the Q & A section. Thanks! Thread moved.

It shouldn't in theory...only one way to find out!!
Hey hey guys I'm on a nexus 5 with CM 11.2 kitkat 4.2.2 of course, on nightly 12-16-13
So I've recently gotten into Kernels and its my understanding that CM doesn't work with Franco and has one baked in anyway, so I've been trying to keep my max CPU frequency at 2.26 and the min at 300 with the interactive governor and noop I/o but occasionally the darn thing keeps on resetting, so I tried using no frills, but the same result of the min and max being reset occasionally to what they wanna be, what am I doing wrong?

Hi,
It's normal, it's how MpDecision from Qualcomm works, when you touch the screen the min CPU freq jumps to 1,2 Ghz for xx ms, for smoothess purpose...
Try Trickster Mod (Play Store) there is an option to lock the CPU freqs, it will locked the min CPU freq to 300 Mhz (or whatever freq you want). But don't turn off MpDecision in Trickster Mod unless you want the four cores always online because there will not be another hotplug routine instead.
Other thing is to use a custom kernel with MpDecision disabled and different hotplug solution...

I think that sir did the trick! Thanks for the help!
Hello everyone i have a lot of problems when i try ti change my cpu frequency: when i change it the phone seems stock on a frequency (a lot of time lower than what i'm setting ) and keeping me from set what i want...
Do u know how can i solve it?
Does anyone have my problem?
Yeah thats the qcom thermal engine. Flash Franco kernel and you should be good to go.
