it depends on which method u used!
I am coming from a galaxy nexus that fell in the toilet and I'm wondering if I can change the verizon wireless text on my gs3 the same way.

Not on a stock rom. Need to flash a custom ROM that supports carrier name change. Or AOSP ROM which lets you change to anything you want.

I'm on executioner 2 and I used to do it manually I'm the system files. that's not possible here?

Before flashing jedi invation rom my sg3 model number wss i747 and now it changed to sgh t999, not sure why, now if I want to flash a new rom what do I do. Should I still look for a rom compatible to i747 or t 999. Thanks guys for any info or help.

Best explanation: you flashed a T-Mobile rom on the ROM. Both phones are very much alike, but you should still look for one for i747

I recently flashed slim bean 4.2.2 rom and my model number got changed to I747 from T999. I reflashed it but no help. I tried to flash CM 10.1 but installation aborted.
What do you suggest guys?
Hi I need a rom for Samsung galaxy s3 that is tw stock but gives the power to customize to my liking.. Right now I'm running hyperdrive RLS13 and for some reason it keep frozen it get stuck on boot animation I have go in and flash a kernel every time this happen I really love that rom if you got any to help please let me know

Hello everyone!!! I have a question, my gf SII was recently unlocked, the bad thing is that it has gingerbread, i want to flash a new rom (stock ics or jb if there is or cyanon), what i wish to know is, if after flashing a rom will she loose her unlock? She is from poland, would love to know if i can do that, if i loose the unlock, is there a free way to unlock it again?

Any ROM you flash will have no effect on the unlock.
