I am getting this problem after downgrading to XXkpe rom after having battery issues on the cm 11 i did that alot and nothing was going wrong but this time i have not get any signal the insert pin massege show up and i enter PIN number but then nothing happen i tried my sim card on other phones and it worked fine and i put other sim cards on it and they all didnt work .. i had my phone checked in a rapair shop but before every thing i mean actually checking it the phone worked perfectly fine i was shocked .. then i walked back home and i had that same problem again
help me please .. i have imei but no signal

already tried with a full wipe? i had that problem too once after a clean install of XXKPE solved this issue just by wiping from recovery after a clean install

sorry i already tried that .. it didn't work i also tried flashing cm 11 again but there was no signal and huge battery drain it was like 1% drop every two minutes maybe they are related i used cm roms for a year now and nothing like this ever happend :crying:
are you sure the /efs folder it's not corrupted (imei is shown from what you wrote but check baseband and the rest of the files are not missing)

Hi all,
I tried to update my HTC One S to TrickDroid 7.1 from 7.0 (before you ask, I did exactly what is written in the op post/author's site like always: wiping, flashing from recovery and with the script, rebooting).
After the first reboot I saw that even after I unlocked my sim with the pin, I had no signal. I tried rebooting into recovery and deleting cache to no avail. I tried rebooting many times but nothing seemed to work, except manually removing and inserting again the sim card or activating and deactivating airplane mode. And even after doing that, the signal is very unstable and so are the mobile data and the weather widget.
So I tried to reflash the 7.1 at first, and then the 7.0 with no results.
If this could be helpful, I never updated/flashed the Radio on my device, since everything seemed to work fine until 7.0.
Hope you can help me. Sorry for my bad English.
Redownload file, fullwipe again and try again, also wait 1 day if you really have bad signal and check your speed with speedtest, the icons say nothing

Just did what you suggested (checked the MD5 as usual), but the problem still persists. For the mobile data, the speed is nearly the same and the icons are good (I don't see the G), it's just that now they continue changing from 3G to H constantly when I'm at home. Before I had only the H with no changing.
Resolved after reinstalling the stock rom and then the TrickDroid rom. Just for info, is 1.06s.50.02.27_2 the last Radio version or there's a newer one? In the second case, where can I find it with a good tutorial (the one I found seemed outdated)?

No matter what I do I can't get my service to work again. All it shows at the top is a little circle with a slash through the middle. I tried installing a custom rom but ran into some problems. So I "restored" my backup through rom manager. But i don't have service anymore. Since this happend I have tried several new roms and I still can't get the service to come back.
Some people say it has something to do with the IMEI but according to my setup I still have one.
I have been working on this problem for nearly 13 hrs none stop! Please help... I have searched everywhere.

If your IMEI and all that information is correct then you may have a bad sim card resulting in no service at all. Otherwise i'd recommend using odin to go back to completely 100% stock and see if that fixes it.

Thank you so much for responding. I have tried to restore stock with odin but every time odin finishes my phone still boots up my existing rom. Any quick ideas with that one?
And do you really think my sim could have just gone bad like that? It's free to get a new one so maybe I will try that as a last resort.
I don't know much about rooting but could it be my radio?
A couple of questions?
Is boot loader unlocked, if so how did you unlock, updated ver 1.4 ez-unlock can mess up and relock boot loader. Use ver 1.2 . "Verizon only"
What ROM and kernel? Make sure its for your carrier.
Any radio should be OK as long as its for you phone and carrier.

did you try reprovisioning your device with dialer code *2767*3855?
note that this does wipe internal sd so back ur **** up!
I tired the above number in dialer but always comes up with error saying "mobile network not available".
Am I doing something wrong?

What fixes the problem. This happened to me after flashing the latest MIUI ROM on my Verizon S3.
I tried re provisioning my phone with the number sequence below but it did not work. I also used the phone info app but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.
It seems to be a casual problem but in my case its not. My phone was working fine untill one morning i woke up and there was no signal , my first though was that maybe baseband earsed during updating progress through the lg tool , so i started to flashing the right combo of custom roms and basebands and still nothing , later i tryed to flash the official stock kdz GB (V21E its the right for my carrier i tryed others too like V20A) still nothing .. my next guess was a hardweare problem so to gave it to a good local store that thr guys checked the hardweare the antena the rf chip and some other things but they work complete normal ! so they tryed also to flash the right kdz basebands etc cause they believes that i did somthing wrong ..still not signal .
yes there is IMEI number in the phone only unknown currier and 0db signal evem APN's are correct
we tryed others sim cards from many carriers but nothing for now i use a device of 14euro and my sim works fine like all othere phones.
If anyone can help with this ...

if it WAS working then suddenly didnt, my first thought is you've jerked the sim card loose and not realised. that basic check appart, it does sound like baseband. Download getRIL from the market (if you have wifi) and check which baseband is installed. dont (like i did) install anything get RIL asks you to. have you also tried another sim card? maybe yours just went bad if its been reflashed by KDZ by a third party and still hasnt worked

First thanks for your time . Yes i tryed many other sims of my fiends and as i said i use my sim to another device and works right . Evrything works right except gsm signal i was very careful for what i flash .. the right combo of roms and basebands as the creators of each rom suggest. but even with the official stock kdz the problem remains .
i downloaded getril as u said it says that ril and baseband are correct. RIL : LGP920-V21e-apr-19-2012 , Baseband : LGP920AT-00-V21e-EUR-XXX
As im not an advanced user (see all my aaaaagh its gone wrong) posts all i can suggest is basic stuff id try. If everything seems fine from a software point of view and your sim works fine on your friends, maybe your sim slot just needs a quick clean. You could also try a friends sim from another network and see if you get any sim pin prompts (indicating that its at least reading the sims)

Hi, is your IMEI the correct one or is it 350305260000001 ?
please check. if the IMEI is the above one, you need to restore the IMEI.

It can read the sim even the contacts i have saved in sim the pins are clean and make good contact .. when i said that i tryed many sims i ment that was from different networks as well Hardwere works normal as the service in the local store told me they maked mesures to all suspect points like the sim slot the RF chip the antena the power suplyer etc.
It can read the sim fine however says no servies the same thing hapents with all other sims of different networks. pfff i start believe that is some kind of curse or somthing hahahah

i trible no quadra checked the IMEI that is writen down of the battery and on the box the same is in the settings menu :/

just try reflash with lg flash tool and factory reset after when done wipe internal memory should work then

I did that countless times :/ i eas searching for days in google in XDA i couldnt fint nothing so i ll just send it to lg its the first time i see somthing like this everything baseband and ril are good the hardware is working (checked with special gear) the device works normal sims works normal but the gsm always says no servies ... when lg alert me what is going on (if they find somthing) i ll let u know guys for similar cases .

After your SYSTEM gets flashed press VOLUME DOWN AND POWER until you will see a black screen with white letters that says FACTORY HARD RESET and then you release both keys and press POWER BUTTON to CONFIRM
Hey guys... I recently encountered a problem with my nexus 5. Suddenly my phone lost signal and it won't receive any more signal.I was on the latest version of PA on 4.4.2 ...... Now I factory reset my phone and it's stuck on phone setup... What do I do?? I'll try flashing back to stock later and I'll see if it's fixed... Also, before factory resetting my phone, I checked my IMEI and it isnt gone.... It was still there.. Strange... Any suggestions on what I should do? Also, I don't have a nandroid backup....

this is what happened to my phone a couple days ago
haven't found a fix.
out of the blue, my phone just dropped its signal and refuses to connect.

Guys... Returning to stock didn't do anything... Still the same problem... Now I'm stuck in setting up the phone since it shows that my sim is inserted and it's trying to activate the sim... But it stays there forever ... I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the sim holder... When I tried removing the SIM card for the phone, it failed to eject my SIM card... Now I have to find a way to get my sim out... When I use the pin, it only opens 1/8.. It's too small to fit anything in it... What do I do?? Running out of ideas...
I could give my phone for repair but I live in Dubai and I don't think there are any service centers here...

Yeah definitely sounds like you need a repair. Contact google initially and sew what they say

My opo fell in water so its screen was not working. My father gave it to a mobile repair shop who repaired it for 4k. When he checked the phone everything seemed alright.He was able to call me etc etc. Then he couriered me the phone. When I got It... It had cos13 latest version. I checked everything except calling. Then I rooted my phone. Flashed oreo. I inserted my sim. It was able to detect that it was an idea sim and import contacts from it but it showed no service. I thought it was the rom. I flashed Tugapower N49. Same problem. So I thought restoring it to stock might solve the problem. Used oneplus one recovery tool to restore it to 4.4 . Still the same problem. It can detect the sim but can not catch any signal. I check my Imei number. Its still there. But I was not able to run the ping test. Then I thought of using this phone for checking roms only and use my Lumia(I hate Lumia) for calling. Rooted it again. Flashed oreo. Flashed its gapps. It show installation complete but its stuck there...... Waited for half an hour. Forced restart. oreo opened but It was nt factory reset although I had wiped it and it shut down after some time. after that my phone reached the android screen only and cant proceed further. I thought maybe force closing my phone during gapps installation did this. Tried to install tuga power.. error executing update binary. Had one more nougat rom. Installed it. Again it didn't show that starting google screen which u see when ever u open a new phone. Basically It was again not factory reset, Wiped everything except system. still this happened. Returned back to stock using recovery tool. Now I tried to install multirom so that I can install the oreo rom. after rooting multirom wasn't able to download anything. Downloaded it manualy. Flashed multirom twrp using fastboot. opened recovery . Not working. phone rebooting. Flashed the previous recovery which I was using before multirom one, That one is working properly!!! What is wrong with my phone???!!!!!

Thanks.. it worked..my still the Sim problem persists. My
Imei number is still there.. whenever i insert my idea sim it recognizes it but shows no service. I can import contact from sims. If i goto mobile networks and search for connection it displays error.I tried changing apn too. Also running the ping test displayed error.

It must be something with the hardware then.You've to disassemble your device and check if network antenna's broken.Follow the tutorial on YouTube.
