Hey everyone,
We are excited to let you know that we launched Star Walk for Android on Friday, Dec 20th.
Here's the link: https : // play.google. com /store/apps/details?id=com.vitotechnology.StarWalk (remove spaces)
We know that many Android users wanted Star Walk and we have managed reach a lot of them but not as many as we would like to. Could you consider publishing short press-release regarding this? We have everything you need: custom press-release, icons, promo-banners, video etc.
Short app description:
Star Walk is our favorite app for stargazing. It shows celestial objects in their exact positions on the sky above you. With over 8,5 million users on iOS, Apple Design Award and a lot of encouraging words from our customers, we are ready to take the next step and announce that Star Walk is now available for Android devices.
Here’s what we got:
- Over 200,000 stars, planets, constellations, and satellites in the night sky (that covers literally all man- made satellites and anything you may want to find in the night sky).
- Augmented reality augments your reality as you look at the sky through your phone camera
- Time machine that will calculate positions of all celestial bodies at any chosen moment.
- Current information on moon phases and planets’ set and rise times
- Spectrum Scale will let you see the sky in X-Ray
We believe that Star Walk on Android will be everything you want from a superb stargazing app. And this is just the beginning.

My Review:
I wanted to introduce to you all to this nifty little widget I found on the Google Play so I thought the best way to do it would be writing a review
Introduction:
For those who are familiar with pet-raising simulation games you will get the idea for Sweet Garden by Toast Inc. In this app, it acts as a widget instead of a stand alone app. So it will be on your home screens at all time. I was a little worried about the battery but it doesn't have that huge of an effect and runs without killing it But because it is a widget it works in real-time and really interesting when it starts talking to you.
How do you play it?
First you will need to install the widget onto your home screen menu. Then you will need to plant a "ppu" which is the main character or plant. There are different ppu's that you can raise to complete your virtual garden.
The game allows you do different maintenance tasks to keep your ppu happy and growing which are rewarded with gold or silver seeds. Basic tasks such as removing bugs, watering your ppu, cleaning it's environment and more will help you take care of your plant. Also there are mini games like destroying moles which reward you with more seeds so you can do more things like buying gifts, more ppus and more.
Conclusion.
I felt like this was a really unique and new style of simulation game for the android phone. Because it's a widget it's really unique because it interacts with you in real time and the characters or ppu's in the game are really fun to raise and take careful. You can download this game free here:

Hello everybody,
Today I would like to introduce you my weather application (Weather Online) that I'm developing since eight months in my free time. The idea of such an application came from a personal need to know the detailed weather over several days to a specific point anywhere in the world.
Indeed, in addition to accurate weather for a specific point, such an application can be very useful when you want to go on weekend or holiday, by giving us an idea about the kind of clothes to take or outright if it is not better to cancel the stay, etc., and thus avoid surprises once there.
The main features:
• Detailed 9 days forecasts (morning / afternoon / evening / night)
• Temperatures and also feels like temperatures, wind speed and direction, atmospheric pressure, cloud cover, precipitation levels, humidity and fog
• Sunrise and sunset
• Sunrise and moonset and moon phases
• Different ways to search and add cities to your favorites list
If you wish, you can go to the Google Play Store to get more details on my application, and then install it on your Android phone.
Don't be afraid, it's FREE!

I thank you for your participation in helping me in improving my project, or even to give me your first impressions, and also if my application can serve you, I'd be happier yet.
PS1: If you like the application, please feel free to share it with your friends, or even to rate it with 5 stars
PS2: New features are currently under development and will soon be available.
City Photo Quiz Pro is the app that invites and challenges you to find out exactly which city you are specifically looking at on your app.
Crusia B.V.’s app is designed to allow you to visit all of the most scenic places and cities in the whole, wide world, all right on your handheld device!
It's available for IOS and Windows Phone devices, and will soon be available for Android too!
This app features gameplay that is the best of both worlds: It is simple and extremely addictive all at the same time. There is also an element of riddle-me-this involved.
You are going to be shown four, unique pictures, and then it’s your job to figure out just which city you are looking at.
Of course, you have a bunch of different tools that you can use in order to figure out what you have to figure out.
If you do get stuck—and, hey, it does happen to the best of us—then just simply fall back on a large variety of hints in order to help you out of your tough guessing bind.
Alternately, you also have the choice to petition all of your friends from Facebook for some extra help.

Hello XDA Community!
As this is my first post here - first, some information about me.
My name is Tomasz (Tom / Thomas). I am a programmer in medium-sized company located in Torun, Poland. I've started my adventure with Android few months ago, when I have bought my first smartphone with green robot OS.
I wanted to introduce to all of you my first Android game - Color Mania. The rules of this game are quite simple: you have to click on the brighter shade of the same color. Everytime you choose correct, you gain some additional time. Every fifty correct choices you gain another extra time but you have to be careful - one mistake and game is over.
From the technical side - it is an effect of my four hours work with LibGDX and still needs some work. All graphics was made by me with Inkscape. It is inspired by two, currently popular games - Flappy Bird and Timberman. Something like "Hello World".
As I am used to iteration-based work, I wanted to publish this game as soon as possible, counting on some feedback from users. I hope that, you - as more experiences Android programmers will write some advices, tips (maybe about app promotion or UX?).
I have no right to post outside URL-s, so you have to remove all spaces from below link and add 'h' letter to the prefix. Sorry!
Google Play store: ttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.to_dev.color_mania.android
Screens are available at the Google Play store (and project site to which link you can find at Google Play).
Please, do not hesitate to comment, rate and post advices!
Thank in advance,
Tommus
Good idea but it's not very addictive... It's just plain and quite frankly... Boring and I'd advise you to find a better name since there are popular apps with the same name
This year we, for the second time, organized Global Game Jam in Ukraine. The theme was really cool – "WAVES". I particularly liked that it allowed multiple creative interpretations.
During the jam I was busy with organizational questions, but at night between Saturday and Sunday I managed to cut several hours from my sleep and made my own prototype.
So, the idea is such: imagine a water sufrace. When you drop a pebble into it, the waves start spreading from the centre. Now let's look at this process from the opposite side: where should you drop the pebble to create the waves of particular shape? Taking into account that the waves reflect from the walls of the basin, this can be a very interesting question.
Here's how the gameplay looks like (gif)
(can't post the images, sorry, but I expect you imagine the idea )
During the post-jam week I completed the game and now I'm ready for release.
Among the new features there are:
various waves shapes (triangle, square, etc)
sounds of real ocean waves which accompany your play
cellular grid to help you aim better
scoring system
storage of player's score history
You are welcome to check the game and share your suggestions. It can be downloaded from PlayMarket, if you find it by query "Emitter: launch the waves"
Tools used:
Flash Develop - IDE
Starling - graphics engine
Enhance - quick ads and analytis integration (it took me 3 minutes to integrate the banner, interlevel ads and retention measuring)
Physics engine is of my own

Thank you
I hope I'll contribute to some interesting gamedev threads soon to get the required number of posts to post the links.
