There you go
Check C) Work on the ROM, Debloat section

seriously can you guys stop making a thread whenever you have a question?
if you check the whole Q&A section there are loads of threads opened by the same person
(not you op, i mean sbd else)
i think @panda00 and the others did a great job in making everything in the forum really user friendly
just search before you ask a question! it would really help the forum a lot! from overloading
just an advice
no offence to anyone

thanks

First of all, wrong forum. Try Q&A. Or reply on the thread dedicated to CM6, that would most likely be more appropriate.
Second of all, there is a separate zip to flash for google apps. It is at http://mirror.kanged.net/gapps/ ... you can either use the regular mdpi or the tiny (regular has a few extra apps, like Car Dock.
Third of all, google contacts are included in google apps.
Finally ... please search prior to asking a question, let alone beginning a new thread dedicated to that question.
sorry like i said I am noob.

[Q] [NOOB] HELP ME ROOT my SK4G!!

Extreme Noob for Android Development (but a techie at heart).
Have LOTS of questions before "taking the plunge" into rooting, etc.
I see an early thread in this section on Rooting...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1064257
...but it clearly says you cannot UN-ROOT with this method.
Does this mean if I root, does it void the warranty? How can I un-root? Is there a different method that will allow me to unroot if needed?

I read that - it was only somewhat helpful.
Unroot does work, not sure what was going in the earlier thread, but unrooting works. If it doesn't work through superoneclick, you can always use Odin to restore your phone to its' stock state, so you can always unroot.

I have some more questions...
If I Root, is there any way I can FORCE a Phone-Memory-only app that does not have widgets to be moved to the SD card to save space?? I was SHOCKED to see how many simple apps/Games
If I Root, is it possible to REMOVE built-in default apps and replace them with Market Apps (like Calender, SMS, Phone/Dialer, Contacts) as well as to remove a lot of the Bloatware that was built-in?

to remove bloatware you have to use a file manager go into system/app and remove! i would suggest just adding .bak to the end just incase you ever needed the
and you can move most apps to sd card but some apps will not support it and if it is not supported you can't force it!

S4 (4.2.2) is it leaked to S3 ??

Hi All:
This is my first time here, I've been looking for a Rom for my S3 which can make it more similar to S4 with all its featuers.
I flashed many Rom and most of them has the 4.2.2 update but it has the nexus touch which I didnt like on my S3.
Any recommendations for a good Rom which is stable and have no issues..
Thanks in advance

The only answer I can give you is: Take a look in the developers forum. If you see something you like, try it. Maybe go for a rom with a stock (Samsung/TouchWiz) look, since that's what you're used to from the stock ROM. Actually, I'd start off by rooting your phone(you've already done that, since you've flashed a lot of ROMs), and remove all the bloatware you never use from stock ROM. Maybe replace a few of the stock apps with better alternatives. This makes the phone faster, and frees up memory.
You can also freeze apps, if you're not comfortable with removing them from the stock ROM. This thread discusses which apps are safe to freeze/remove. The OP links to this document showing a spreadsheet of apps that are safe/not safe to freeze/remove.
If you're not familiar with the term "freezing apps", you should do a forum search(or just Google) Titanium Backup. It's a feature LOADED (you guessed it...) backup-app, which allows you to freeze apps if you don't want to uninstall them completely. In short, it "disables" the app, removing it from the drawer, but keeping it installed. You can easily unfreeze the apps if you need them to work for you again.
Hope this helped you on you way. The world of custom ROMs is huge, so you're guaranteed to find somehing you like.

Kombian

Thanks a lot for all the information that you've shared with me, I am still not familiar with many things in rooting which I might need your help with that.
The first thing, what you guys mean by Stock Rom? does it mean the original android framework that was not modified yet?
2nd: how to remove all the bloatware? and what do you mean by bloatware?
3rd: is it bad for the handset to be flashed again and again with many different ROMs? I always follow the steps which the developers mention in flashing any new ROM, so is there any right ways to do that without damaging my phone?
for now these are all the doubts that I have about rooting, but I might come up with many points in the future,
I hope you guys can help me in getting more knowledge about it, and thanks a lot for your precious time that you are giving me
Thanks again

Hi
Whenever you ask questions like the above, it is always good practice to mention what device you're using, which variant / carrier and model number it has, and what firmware you're enquiring about.
"Will this work on DN3 ?" is too non-specific to answer, and you may end up inadvertently getting wrong advice from someone about some other device that may lead to you damaging your phone. It's just good pracitce on a forum as diverse as XDA.
Coming back to your original question, why don't you head on to the Xposed sub-forum and clear your doubts? http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed
Best of Luck! And welcome to XDA-Developers.
Ok cool thanks so much! I tried to click the link but took me straight back to my question. I'll have a look around anyway. Thanks heaps.
