Hello guys, was wondering if anyone already came u with a simple app I'd really like to sport.
As you may know, the (PC) program in the title handles downloads from most file uploading services (rapidshare, megaupload, fileshare, even youtube...), but from time to time it asks for a verification (that is "Write what you read in the box"): obviously, it won't download anything until I input the code. Now, is there any way to be informed on my Desire about this request (so I can VNC/Web TeamViewer to the computer and do that), maybe even have the code sent to the Desire and being able to reply and have the code input in the computer. This way, ther would be no dead download times with ease! Anybody willing to put something together? Or is there something similar already? May I ask FRD developers first?
Hi All.
Recently, I downloaded an app called 'Image & Video Hider'. I have hidden videos using this app and decided I no longer wanted it. I use the Samsung Galaxy S4
The app allowed me to unhide most of the media hidden, but not all. I have been researching online for hours and I am not able to find a solution that works for my problem. The developers website is not valid and I emailed them over a week ago and haven't heard anything. I was on the phone with Google today and there isn't much they could do either.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with unhiding media that still exists. I have tried the command method, and its not working (I may be doing something wrong). I even tried the "unhide" files method using the cpu but that isnt working either. I am sure the app is installed on my device memory but I cannot find anything pertaining to it once I complete a search. Please help me!
Sorry to be a noob to this all.. and I know this is most likely the wrong place to post this thread (this forum is huge btw)
Can someone help me.. Complete noob here, I just got myself the new GS5 and have made the switch from Apple to Android now, I only have a macbook pro and have no idea how I can root my galaxy s5 with the macbook? Can anyone help?
I am an Australian user.. who has the latest SGS 5, SM-G900I that is locked to Optus (network).
I have the latest macbook pro late 2013 edition with os x mavericks on it.
I've worked out some basics.. like I have Samsung Kies now working on the mac to do file transfer etc..
I have the developers option menu open on my GS device with USB debugging ticked..
But that's as much as I can do.. I don't know how or what program to use on my mac to perform the rooting and or what kind of rooting I need to do??
I'm not to good with terminal? or inputting commands into terminal.. complete noob with that
Can someone here.. please, please help me out and point me in the right direction.. I've looked all over google.. most info I have found though is for the GS4 or older version of android etc.
And like I said earlier.. I am overwhelmed by this forum site as it is huge and I don't know where to begin to look?
I would also like to know.. I've seen screenshots of in videos of where people have 4 + apps in their "app draw" including an internet browser..
Mine has come pre loaded with only 3 main apps in the "app draw".. these are, phone, contacts & messages + the apps button.
How can I edit/ add or remove apps in and out of that bottom app draw area, I am yet to find that option anywhere on this phone??
Hi !
I'm writing here today, because I want to install some applications with the ADB mode on my Galaxy Gear Neo 2. I followed many guides but I always have the same problem: I plugged in my watch to the computer and installed ADB drivers. When I write on the CMD "adb", it shows me that it's installed. Then, I write "adb devices" and after a few seconds there's written: "list of devices attached:" and then nothing. I try then with my cell phone (Samsung Galaxy s2) and it appears in the list of devices attached.
Do the ADB not work yet for the Galaxy Gear Neo 2 ? I saw that it was out the 11th of April, and it may be not compatible because he's too much recent.
Thanks for your answers.
P.S: Sorry for my mistakes in English, I'm French !
Hello: you don't connect to the Gear 2 Neo using adb, you use sdb, which is the Samsung Development Bridge (rather than the android development bridge). The files can be found in the wearables SDK image which can be found on the Samsung site (you will need to google, as I'm not allowed to post links yet). You may also need to find the Samsung Tizen USB development drivers, which can also be found using Google. Finally, remember to turn USB Debugging on on your Gear 2 Neo.
Hello, sorry but I can't find the sdb... I searched on google, samsung website etc... It seems like it doesn't exist... Can you be more specific please ?
Thanks
It is part of tizen wearable development.

Thanks, I've found the tizen sdk for wearable image on the website developer.samsung.com. Sadly, I'm on windows 8 operating system, and the sdk is still not available for windows 8... I tried to download the windows 7 64 bits version, but I don't have any executable...
That happened to me so download the sdk image manually from the same site once downloaded start the installer again where it says advanced add the sdk image file then it will install happy days

The Windows 64 bit version runs fine on Windows 8.1 64 bit, you just need to download the installer file..
Download the tizen-wearable-sdk-image-1.0.0b1-windows64.zip and save it to your desktop.
Download the tizen-wearable-sdk-2.2.150_windows64.exe. Run this file. It will tell you the respository is missing. Change the setting to point it instead, to the the file you saved on your desktop. It will install fine. I have the Windows 7 64bit version installed on my Windows 8.1 64 bit machine.
Thanks a lot for all your answers, I've now the Tizen IDE for wearables on my pc ! Just a last thing... I'm not really good in this kind of manipulation yet, and I would be really greatful if you could give me a link for a guide, or just telling me how to put applications (as candy crush or any other app) with the SDK on my Gear Neo 2?
Thanks!

Those are Android apps. Unless you don't mind paying Polaris $5k to convert the apps you want to play nice with tizen...... Then that might be a fruitless endeavor at this current moment.

If I understand well, there's actually no way to install android games on the Galaxy Gear Neo 2 ?

Glad to be of assistance. Good to hear you got it installed ok.
Android apps do not run on Tizen, so the Gear 2 can not run Android games/apps. It 'may' be possible to sideload full version Tizen apps/games, as it was possible to run full version Android apps on the original Galaxy Gear. (ie Candycrush)
You could also try building some of the sample apps/widgets in the SDK (watch, calender, etc) and load them onto the watch, just for practice.
Note: Just for reference, the original Gear was the Galaxy Gear. The Galaxy line all run Android. The new Gears are running Tizen, so they do not carry the Galaxy name. So, the original was Galaxy Gear. The new ones are just Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, and Gear Fit.
Ok thanks a lot ! I see that you have the gear 2 ^^ I'll try to do some practice ! Last thing (don't kill me xD) how do I load the apps when I created it ? And does tizen games exist?
Sideload Custom Sounds

Can i please have some assistance. Its driving me absolutely insane atm. I have the neo. I understand downloading the sdk image and all. Howevere , does anyone know how to just find the hidden partition on the neo? I want to find specifically the notification sounds and ringtones to add my own. I hate the 3 that come with it. I will offer a small reward to anyone who can successfully help me with this.
Thank you ,
EVE

My guess is that those files might not be modifiable until the watch is rooted.

Hello XDA Team,
First of all, I am new here and I apologize*in advanve for any inconvenience.
I own a Samsung Galaxy S7 and I am facing an issue with my phone, recently I got a kind of Smart locker tool or program I am not sure, but the problem is I don't remember that I've installed or allow any kind of this programs in my phone (I tried to put a link to screenshots of the program but since I'm now I can't put a link, please who-else needs the pictures let me know), and even if I deactivate it, it returns automatically and sometimes it blocks my phone.
The following also appears in this program:
"res/layout/fragment_rec_list.xml
res/layout-v14/list_item_review.xml10%"
I can't find it in applications section to uninstall it. This is really bothering and I can't do nothing about it.
Kindly help me to resolve this issue.
Many Thanks Team
