All it does is use Bluetooth to connect to the phone, so yeah, it works well with the GS4 and with CM.

want that
I really want one of the higher end mpga controllers. I currently ise a ps3 controller and the sixaxxis app, but native support would be so nice.

I've been using to new MOGA PRO and it works rather well. Bluetooth sync just fine and ive gotten pretty obsessed with playing need for speed lol. Makes things much easier

Wonder if it's any good for playing minecraft pocket edition

I got a moga pocket, and it works with my s4 on cyanogen, I had to install the moga universal driver from play store for some emulators, but works like a charm.

Just got the Pro for myself. I'm on stock 4.3 and it works great. Been playing modern combat 4 and it's great. Feels like I'm playing cod just a slight lag. Also works great for emulators as it has a A and B setting for the controller. Havent had any issues controller battery last quite long.

Cool, thanks for all the responses, should be ordering one soon!

Got the MOGA Hero Power (charges your phone while playing) and loving it. It works really well and feels great. Playing the old school Super Mario.

Using a BT mouse on the Galaxy S

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21aVbYpgrRA
Holy molly.
I didn't think this was possible at all. Does anyone has a bluetooth mouse that they can try on a 2.2.1. firmware? I don't know why anyone would want to use a mouse on a phone, but hell, it's just so damn cool.
P.S. How on earth do you embed youtube videos?
yeah, its really cool. I did it too and a BT keyboard is working too, btw.
My god guys r crazy...but cool

yup works mint
I'm running the stock Bell rom and my Dell mini BT mouse that I got on sale for $15 before xmas and my old Stowaway keyboard work almost mint, I say almost because a few of the windows mobile shortcut buttons don't work but it's over 90% functional.
Neil
yep got it working aswell i am using a Targus mini laptop mouse and works absolutely beautifully
only bluetooth mouse and keyboard i have is my partners Apple ones, but will try them when i get in whoop
WTF ?
I take it none of you have seen this dusty old thread then

Thanks for posting the link to my video, but as someone has pointed out there is a rather long thread about this already!
Main reason to use a mouse with the phone is when then phone is plugged into a TV, either for gaming or when in the browser. Some games like Castle Warriors are much nicer with a mouse.

Power A Pro Pack Mini Bluetooth Controller

I thought you guys might want to know about this: I went to Best Buy yesterday to get a Wiimote for my G2x and came across this much smaller controller:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/POWER+A+-+ProPack+Mini+Remote+and+Mini+Chuk+for+Nintendo+Wii/1168433.p?id=1218228673832&skuId=1168433
It's the length of the phone, it's light, and you can put it in your pocket. It doesn't work with the Wiimote Controller APP in either Froyo or CM7, but it does work fine with Bluez IME in CM7. I haven't tried the nunchuk attachment as I'm just using it to play SNES and MAME games.
So how is that Power A Wii remote working out for you? I see mixed reviews for use on the Wii with sync issues and lag, but if it work fine on an android phone, i may think about trying since its nice and small.
I use my PS3 controller. Works like a charm on the fitsnugly CM7 kang.
Yeah but that a lot bigger and more expensive, plus i was really only thinking of using it for basic NES GBA and Genesis emulation for now.

Cheap Emulator Controller for P500?

I was wondering if there is a cheap controller/gamepad that you can use on your Optimus One? Or if there is an app I can get to let me use my Xbox controller, or iPod Touch as a controller. I find the virtual gamepad unusable for most games. I just want a cheap way to have a alternate gamepad. Any suggestions? Btw im using the Oxygen Rom. Thanks

Looking for zeemote type controller?
been scouring the net for some time, haven't come across anything.
Get a bluetooth mini keyboard and just configure the buttons. Thats what I did and it works great
Will a Zeemote work on gingerbread?

Can you post a link to buy this, and does it work on gingerbread?

I'm using the Wiimote Controller with CM7 based rom. It needs to be on nonstock rom based since there is something wrong with the bluetooth of stock roms. It works very well with the wiimote and also with the classic controller if you need more buttons.
The 6 axis controller compatibility checker says that it would work for the phone too but I havent tested it yet.
Thanks for the reply man. I actually just ordered a wiimote on ebay yesterday because I can use it on my ipod emulators. Its great now that i know it will work on my phone too! One question, I am on the Oxygen rom. Would bluetooth work on this or should I get CM7?

I can also recommend to have a look at Phonejoy (www.phonejoy.us), works with more than a hundred games and doesn't require root. So definitely worth checking out!
I have a big question, is it possible to manipulate touchscreen gestures with ie. a Wiimote or Sixaxis?? just like if they were a cordless mouse??
so for instance i could play GlowHockey with them???

He's talking about Bluetooth keyboards like this :
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/mini-b...ia-symbian-s60-cellphones-black-37863?item=52
It works well with CM7 based ROMs. And if the game you are playing is compatible with hardware keys, it will work well for you.
I have the same keyboard on the link, worked for me, but its form factor made it uncomfortable to use for long periods of time.
I shifted to Wiimote + Classic controller for playing old school games.
i dont now for moment !
later information you :B

Emulators

Is anyone else having trouble with playing emulators while HDMI outing to their TV while playing emulators? I tried some different test cases: Playing a mix of the different *oid emulators just on my phone, while using a ps3 controller, and while using a ps3 controller with the output being displayed on my TV. The only case in which I got unbearable lag and stuttering was when I use outputing to my TV through a monoprice MLH adapter. Everything ran smoothly otherwise. Furthermore I ran Cool Tool in the background to watch my cpu usage and even though it was lagging the cpu usage wasn't spiking or getting very high. Is anyone else having problem with HDMI out? I don't know why this faster phone can't even handle something my slower year old Atrix could
I believe most emulators aren't coded properly for ICS. I gave up on them for now. If you want a little boost, try out the dual core mod.
I have also noticed that emulators don't work as they did pre-ICS. My galaxy s2 running CM7 ran bit64/n64oid much smoother than my HOXL does on Clean Rom 2.6.
This is very infuriating. Using it as my phone as a retro game station used to be one of the biggest things I did with it and now I can't. Which emulators have people tried that don't seem to work that well on ICS? So far I know the oid ones at least don't seem to work too well.

Yea from my understanding a lot of emulator dev was being completed a while back, and then everything was taken off the market. A few new emulators are poping up again but they don't seem to be optimised for ICS or JB. A real shame as I too enjoyed the ol Mario 64 and GoldenEye.

I don't have any trouble with FPse (psx emulator) lagging, but then again it gets updates every week. Gotta have my twisted metal!
Sent from my HTC One XL using Tapatalk 2
How many pages back did you have to go to find this thread lol. But really since then I've found on most emulators the games are actually playing at full fps just fine, it's the audio that is lagging which makes playing them unbearable. On all of the oid's I was able to get no slow downs in video just fine. It's just the audio that sounds like crap. The DAC on these phones just seems to really suck.
Download the slideme market, and search "yongzh"
Hehe

The latest update to fpse made everything silky smooth and perfect audio. Runs at 160 fps so I had to use framelimiter in the app settings so everything wasn't running so fast lol

That's what I'm wondering. I have been trying to play FF9 for ages and just can't get it to run smoothly since he started trying to use opengl (started back on my Atrix) and just gave up. I tried again today and still no good.
I don't use opengl on mine. Although it makes a few things look prettier it messes up a lot of the effects in twisted metal, mainly smoke and water. For now I'm content with the default render settings.
Ah yeah well even my Atrix can do full speed software rendering with fpse. It looks so bad though especially the ff games which looked so good.

Fun stuff to do with a $5 HDMI Micro Hdmi to HDMI dat

Ok I imagine it would be fun to go to a friends house and hook up your 5$ Micro HDMI cable from your phone to their TV and start playing some strange video... but besides that, what would be the most impressive? I'm thinking running some video console emulator would be the best trick, if friends with androids could get a bluetooth controller app off market and could play VS.? Is this even possible?:fingers-crossed:
Yes, it is possible. You can use a wii remote, PS3 controller, or USB keyboard as a controller for the games.

theres an app called sixaxis controller that should allow you to pair a PS3 controller thru bluetooth
i also found this which looks kinda kool, i didnt read it to see if it has specific requirments, just looked cool as hell and caught my eye lol
http://www.gizmag.com/gameklip-android-ps3-games/23592/
Also there are some emulators that have built in controller support so all you have to do is pair it with the phone and map the buttons. But for the sixaxis controller app you need to be rooted for the controller to work. Rooting will also give you the option to overclock the processor so some of the more graphics heavy games will run smoother.

That is pretty sick! At first I though it was for the Keyboard function of a smartphone but actually the screen for the game! Though I'd like to see that mount different...In the gaming sense for VS games Tribes Ascend?!!Wonder if they'' have a android app prolly not .... It is better and does not require the TV...In the mean time I came up with using the TV connected to the triumph for a mobile security detail using tinycam monitor installed on the Triumph connected via HDMI to TV and SeCuret spycam Livestream (vs ip cam it has the benefit of detect motion @upload to dropbox as well... Feeding video is all IP camera does
