A core is a physical element of a processor.
You could tell a dual-core or quad-core to use only one core, but with a single-core processor there is no second core to enable or turn on - it just doesn't exist.
It's kind of like if you had a car with a V6 engine - you can't just "enable" two more cylinders to convert it into a V8 - they just aren't physically present, period.
You can't change the CPU architecture to allow for hardware-level multithreading, either.
Can we desolder stock cpu 1GHz cortex A-5 single core and solder dual core 1 GHz cortex A-9 or A-5??????

These components tend to be machine soldered so not really no, even if you did get anew one on the pins would have to been the same which is unlikely

poor wifi receptionWI FI
i was using cm 9. and i used to get full wifi signal,but now i moved to another custom rom and now iam getting only a single bar of reception.
so any one has a fix for it?

There is no such app for ICS yet...rooting is quite easy unless u want to unlock bootloader in order for u to install Roms..

I am running ics 4.0.4 and the only problem is the low ram . So if anyone knows about swap compatible (or enabled) kernel for karbonn A5, it would be a great help!!!

Hi guys i had bought Boxchip A20 it has awesome specifications

1.2ghz dual core A20

8gb internal
1GB Of Ram
otg host
with play store
Android 4.2.2 but the weird thing that there is no quick settings panel it just look like 4.0.4 ics or 4.1.2 jb not like 4.2.2 with quick settings panel why i think that's weird right?
And it support 3g dongle so when i insert my unlocked huawei E173s-2 dongle it just tell me removed usb storage why? Even my nextbook tablet recognize it via root and ppp widget so android support this type of dongles so what i should do to make it support cuz when i try to save apn in settings i insert every field with correct info but no luck it won't save the apn settings
