[Q] N5 Case, need help. - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking for a case that costs ~10-~20 EUR (amazon.de), is good in drop protection (more specifically, the corners, the camera lens and the screen) and just how comfortable it is, would you recommend it and so on.
I also have seen zedomax's CruzerLite Nexus 5 drop test. Do the cases (Androidified A2 like in the video or Bugdroid Circuit) protect as well as in the video (the drop tests aren't fake, right?)?
How's the Spigen Slim Armor, too? I heard it protects well, but after seeing a G2 drop test, it seems to perform not really well in a frontal test. What do you think?
So, please suggest me some. But I NEED AND REQUIRE good drop protection (front and back) and not adding too much bulk making it uncomfortable to use. Of course, a good price too.

Did you look in the accessories section here?

[Review] Cruzerlite

First off I would like to thank Raul from Cruzerlite.com who found my style of reviewing interesting enough to inquire about me reviewing their cases. It is a great opportunity and I would just like to send a personal thank you to him and the company. I would also like to point out that my review is still going to be 100% honest, in fact I waited 4 days after I received the cases to do a complete review, including a day in each case I received.
The three cases I received were as follows
Clear Android Army
Blue Android Circuit
Green Androidified A2
I'll review them all at the same time, and anytime there is something special about a certain one, I'll mention it. First are Pro's,then Con's, and a summary at the end. Fairly simple.
Pro's:
-Like any premium case the cutouts are perfect at every port, button, and IR blaster on the phone.
-The TPU is pretty good quality, I've felt better in one other case, Diztronic, but Cruzerlite is a very close second.
-Double cutout of the camera and flash giving better protection overall on the back
-designs actually show up (on white S4 at least, cannot verify on black because I don't one) and looks very nice. I have recieved compliments on how cool they looked, the color enhances the device instead of detracting from it, and I see a lot of cases that detracts from the quality of the phone! (cheap and expensive cases alike)
-The raised lip around the front of the screen kind of folds over the bevel. I'm not sure how to explain it, but the lip extends over the full front of the bevel instead of resting on top of it like every other case I own does.
-Logo is not distracting from the overall design!
Con's
-On the Androidified case it just feels a lot thinner, I'm not sure if it was the unit I was sent, but the TPU feels thin all around, especially on the lip and sides.
On good reviews I usually put here that the cases were not free, but in this case they were...and I'm not sure how to make it sound like I wasn't completely satisfied, but had I spent money on them, I wouldn't put anything here, so this is a placeholder for my own sanity...
one thing to note about clear cases though, they discolor over time, I am not sure if these will, but it is something to think about. i honestly love clear cases over all other cases. but UV damage is not something plastic is known to combat well over time. lol
Overall:
If I could, I would return 3/4 of the cases I've purchased over the past month for the S4 because these are honestly the ones I'll be using for a good length of time. I cannot foresee me looking for another TPU case after trying these, and I would recommend them for anyone who is on the fence. If you want to purchase one TPU case, you'll want to go with one from either from Cruzerlite or Diztronic. Both are great companies and offer different types of cases depending on what you really are looking for.
As always, let me know if you would like a specific picture or more in-depth look at something in particular. The photos will be up tomorrow when the lighting is better.

Where to find rubber case+kick stand?

I cant seem to source any locally so i probably need to order online but only have seen like one picture that did not have a brand name to it.
preferably with a screen protector or just recommend one of those as well. also not cheap quality, it just needs to provide mild protection against bumps.
also the back can be hard shell, just need the interior to be soft.

i-Blason from Amazon works great for me.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
uh how padded is the interior, for 15$ i could only assume low build quality in comparison to the others. i mean in some cases its not drastic the difference but i dont know how much it is.
http://www.i-blason.com/prime-dual-layer-holster-case-with-kick-stand-for-samsung-galaxy-s4.html
this is close to what im looking for, form the reviews people claim the stand just flops out which would be quite annoying.
basically something like an otterbox with a kickstand is ideal but i dont think any exist.
this is the idea design behind the case im trying to source
http://www.amazon.com/Aduro-Holster...67243950&sr=8-10&keywords=galaxy+s4+kickstand
now something like that with a rubber silicon interior would be ideal.
think this it is.

within price range, seems like it has the rubber interior + a decent quality kick stand. not sure if the metal would **** with the phones signal though. claims to not break NFC as well.
edit, got that + the screen protector 2 pack they provide. seems like most of the reviews are positive for them and they seem to be the thinnest i can find.
I’ve bought dozens of cases for my s4 and two of them had kickstands that I really liked. Neither of them have “soft” interiors though but are both worth checking out.
First one, the cheap one by MiniSuit. It’s cheap, but not too bad in quality. It’s about $5 - $10. The kickstand lasted longer than the $90 case below.
Second one, the premium one so-to-say. It’s $90. Way over priced, but this case had everything I needed. Low profile, aluminum bumper, rubberized interior and back plate, kickstand, PLUS....the real seller for me here, the patented SBS technology that directs the sound coming from the rear speaker to the front of the front via built in port. But yeah, kick stand broke after a month, but I'm one of those users that carries a spare battery on me at all times and is constantly taking the case on and off. At least twice a day.
I also found this one on Amazon that might fluff your muffin.

Neo Hybrid Review

Ok so i see several posts involving the Neo Hybrid but none with pictures with the phone in it, at least that i found. So i figured i would post with my thoughts and a few photos.
I personally love the Neo Hybrid case and have been a fan of the design since the first one i bought for my Note II. Its slim, doesn't add much bulk, and gives a bit of protection, though not a lot. It's easy to install and fits the phone perfectly, all the holes seem to line up nice and neat. I am using it with a MIME glass screen protector and it still fits over the edges without issue. Im unsure whether they will release just the frames or not, but if they do it makes changing the look of your case easy and inexpensive.
The only issues i have with the case are that it does make it even harder to get the USB cover open, the protection it adds isn't enough to protect from a decent fall, and the plastic buttons feel loose and rattle a bit.
A couple other things to note are that the case does add a small lip to protect the camera and Spigen did also put a taper in the rubber below the heart rate sensor to allow clearance so you could still use it. That being said, i have larger hands and still have a hard time getting a reading without fussing with the sensor quite a bit.
Thank you for the actual pic and content. The side view makes it look like a iPhone lol.
I just got my case today.
It does add a little bit of bulk to the phone.
Also, for the life of me, I can not get the charging cover off with the case on the phone.
The case looks great though, but I think the above points are going to be a deal killer for me. It's too bad, as I really like how the case looks (I got the red border).
I should be getting a cheap ebay TPU case tomorrow to try out. Hopefully will be slimmer and allow the charging cover to be opened easier.

[Case Review] Vivid Arkansas & the Lazer by Artech21

What's up everyone! Here for another case review, and this time it's the Vivid Arkansas & the Lazer by Artech21. I typically do not review two cases in the same thread, but these are from the same manufacturer and aren't too terribly different. I'm gonna throw up 2 links at the bottom for the photos because there are quite a few of them. So let's get right into it, shall we?
-Packaging & First Impressions-
The packaging for both cases is the same. Quite minimal with a couple thin cardboard inserts that you'd typically get with a phone case. Nothing too fancy here. The cases themselves are nearly identical except for the pattern imprint on the rubber inner layer. The case trim for both is identical and are interchangeable with these two cases specifically. Over all pretty good looking cases. However there wasn't much care with the cutouts. They are extremely precise and line up perfectly with the phone, but unfortunately still have some edge shavings attached. You can see what I mean in the photos by looking at the cutouts around the power button. To me this was a little careless and really could have been fixed in the factory pretty easily.
-Fit-
These cases go on and off pretty easily. Personally, I like that. It makes swapping them out fairly quick and you don't feel like you'll do harm to the phone while doing so. This for me is pretty huge. I reviewed a case by Poetic and absolutely love everything about the case, except when it's time to take it off or put it back on. With both of the cases from Artech21, they fit quite nice, except for the screen side of the phone. On the Vivid Arkansas, the right edge had gold from the phone showing through, and on the Lazer it was on both sides. So the 1st layer/rubber shell just doesn't have that uniform snug fit that you'd want with this device. I have to point out though that this is not true for all of their cases. A friend of mine has these same cases for his S7 Edge, and they fit quite perfectly on his phone.
-Feel-
Both of these cases feel great in the hand. There is enough grip on the device to prevent it from slipping. The cutout that was used for the power button is pretty nice too. It has a sloped cut on the edge so your finger almost feels like it belongs there when pushing the power button or using the fingerprint scanner. I can't stress enough how much I like that cutout and how it was done. Great job on that one Artech21! The buttons on the case look like they would stick out, but they really don't all that much. You can still find them blindly pretty easy, so it's not terrible. Over all, not bad.
-Final Thoughts-
Personally, I'd give both cases a 7/10. They still need some fine tuning on some basic cosmetics, but all around are still a good case option to keep your phone safe. They come in many different accent colors, and I think Artech21 did pretty well despite a few minor cosmetics. The case does not interfere with the wide angle lens at all and I think these cases should be given your consideration when looking for an inexpensive case. - Until next time...

Cases that protect the camera

I've noticed some of them are flush with the camera bezel; offering no protection for the camera. I'm looking for cases that are raised a bit around the camera so I can set the phone down on its back without risking damage to the camera.
It does look like the larger cases such as otterbox and cimo are thick enough to protect the camera- but I really don't know for sure. I wasn't really looking for a huge case, though some 2 piece ones look fine if they protect the camera. I'm interested in the incipio level 4 case, the speck case, the ghostek covert, the pleson clear case, and the tech21 case looks great but it doesn't look like it protects the camera
I've seen probably all the "top 10 cases for moto z force"- lists but some companies and their cases aren't on those lists. Often the forums are the best place to find something different. I just learned about nillkin but it looks they don't make one for the force.
