Hello guys My device info is Htc One sv. Performed a stock restore of system using cricket JB clean nand backup. Then all seemed to update well. However no Phone calls dialing out as well as unable to send any text messages???? What gives I have reverted back to stock and upated and dowgraded several times and i cannot get either the dialer or texts to go through on either the full updated 4.2.2 sense 5 or the reverted to stock version based off the clean Jb nandroid backup posted. Iam not a newbie i have flashed lots of times. used both terminal emulator and have a fastboot working enviroment.... Please Help I cannot go without my phone all week!! I just dont understand how i could have borked this thing... i can stii update, downgrade hboot, install clockwork mod or twrp, root, and everything in between on both the clean jb nandroid backup restored as well as the updated 4.2.2 sense 5 version..... Also i am s-off. Help me if Anyone can. Many Thanks!!!

checked both of those and it show evrything it should.... phone name, serial, IMIE, etc, etc. Funny thing is also it will fin the update put it in the notification que.... and it will download it over the phones network using the 4g not wifi. sooo what could it be?? I have tried flashing just the radio contained within my ota.zip also and no joy.. I have reverted back to the stock cricket JB nandroid posted up on the index thread. Now updating all the way back to 4.2.2 sense 5. Although i have done this twice already in the last hour and still everything goes fine. Updates all the way and reboots to the ops system. says Android has been succesfully updated. hboot .21 S-off CID 22222222 I just don't know!!

Alright well i am updating the phone to 4.2.2 with sense 5 but, the dialer and texts still arent working! It connected just fine to the cricket network 4g and downloaded this update as well. weird. I still cannot believe that no one else has had this issue or can even replicate it.... You would think the update updating the bootloader and all other images it would work the dialer and sending texts i mean. especially since it updates succesfully and boots properly. especially given the fact that it updates through the phones own cellur network. It also lets me setup my google account and sync contacts and apps from the playstore all on the phones network. VERY WEIRD!!!

Lots of views but, no ideas??? Anyone have the System apks for the dialer and messaging app?? Maybe if i installed new ones it would correct or fix the problem?/ I dont know for sure. Anyway if someone has those let me know.

update to 4.2.2 with updated hboot stock everything
once update is complete power down the device
pull the battery and SIM card
wait 20 seconds(count them out)
install SIM then battery and install battery cover
hold volume- and power to boot into bootloader manually(make sure there's not the PL80IMG, zip on the sdcard)
then factory reset from the bootloader.
let me know if this works.

Nope I can get in there and find all that stuff but it doesnt look like it wants to commit the gsm auto.. Shouldnt it change in the pull up\ drop down menu when i select it?? It just stays at the same setting when i select it

Alright well crap off to work. Maybe i can come home early althogh i don't think it is going to help.... Cant have Cricket work on it as it is hacked the bootloader and stuff. Yea, I already pm him the info on that. I told him it may be a hardware issue and may need to be sent in for either repair or replacement. I don't think he is comfortable following the commands in fear of doing something wrong. I been researching the heck out of his problem and so far all of it points to a hardware malfunction. In small, rare cases, the provider would be able to push something to the users device and resolve the issue but the majority of them had to send theirs in and most who did got a replacement.

The only other thing I could say is backup the EFS folder and then push it to his 4.2.2 update after upgrading to fix the issue but since his phone is already acting up (assuming that IS the problem) it is already too late to do that. Even with his nandroid backup because when he restores the problem is still there.

His APN config could possibly be out of wack also, he says he can connect to 4g but sending text or dialing out is a no go.

If they are empty then you will need to take it in. Somehow your stuff got wiped. And active data profile should be 1 as well.

You actually should be able to just call them and have them push to activate your device. Anyways, call them first to see if they can resolve it that way before actually sending it in.

You should see something like this, though your numbers may be slightly different. However, if you see nothing at all and it says 0 for accounts, then you need to contact cricket. We can't help you in regards to this.

This is CM9 for Cricket Wireless just follow the instructions and you should be good to go.
-Install Cricket-CM9.zip/Cricket-CM7-Epic4G-signed
-once phone boots up go to voice dialer and say open apns
-select the only apn
-change "[email protected]" to "[email protected]"
-restart phone
If you are on the $45 plan use greenk45 for now.

awesome sauce. you should submit this to the cricket flashing company. i just went to the cricket store n they said they wont have a mms app for a few weeks n they also said they pay people for working fixes.
i lied, i just did it real quick.
i dont have time to test but heres a flashable zip that should get you mms on your existing CM9. you still need to change your number in apn settings. Let me know if it works

they probably arent thinking of flashed phones at the moment, if we are lucky by the final cm9 release they will let us at the apn settings for us flashed users. and just to put this out there. i also tried flashing your rom over my exsisting installation. Same thing happend except the sprint apn was gone, and you were manually able to add apns and save them correctly. if you post the apn settings you have set up i can try adding it manually and see if it works

i always wipe data, cache, and dalvik, and never have a problem. eveytime i would set apn's once rom is installed there was no mms but it showed correct apn settings. it needed to be set in apns_conf.xml before install

If you edit the apns-conf.xml with the correct settings then with root explorer (or similar) go to data/data/com.android/telephony/database/ and delete telephony.db and telophony.db-journal and then reboot the phone will have the correct apn settings. I have this function built into my Virgin Mobile Mms fix flashable zip.

I did a fresh flash with the rom and it sent and received with no problem. But it stated it wouldn't send pics from non aosp roms...it sent pics I had taken on a stock tw rom but the pic I just took with cm9 installed sent and was received all distorted like it was the top quarter of the pic and the rest was all gray lol.

at least yours trys to send it lol when i try to send a pic taken with cm9 i just get a big eff you. sends pics taken and downloaded from anywhere else though. but cant complain.
Another plus to getting a flashable zip working.you won't have to update and upload a whole ROM every time cm9 gets updated. It's at alpha 3 now

rom updated, i believe i got mms working 100% now, i flashed over an hour ago and have not had a problem since. i will put up Alpha3 once i see that mms sending is fixed.

Out of curiosity, is your fix still a ROM or is it a patch? I pushed your Cricket-CM9-MMS zip and haven't been able to get it to work. I updated the APN's before I patched the file, and even deleted the telephony databases/etc as suggested by the other virgin Mobile MMS builder.
Thoughts?
Also, I've found that my Messaging sometimes doesn't show texts. Instead, I have to go back, and reopen the conversation for text/etc to appear...

You would have to be on ics since it uses the 3.0.8 kernel. Since bootmenu has the ability to dual boot, you could always try flashing it on second system. If it doesn't work you'll still have your first system to fall back on.

nevermind got it to work but a quick heads up to anybody who is going to flash this rom...it is going to erase boot menu so i suggest u not mess up like me...forgot to factory reset so had to use stock recovery to do that...another thing this rom boots up like in 25secs and its super fast doesnt have super user so i guess ill have to root it and everthing is english except for some minor stuff..ill upload it if i can because that chinese website takes forever to dl so i had to use that program on there website to get it so ill put it up so no one has to go through the same hassle....thanks xmsh for porting miui u did a great job

another heads up i got bootmenu from its forum...installed it when attempting to install the recovery it says "logwrapper sha1sum mismatched" so i guess im stuck on miui without any gapps till someone can fix this...i recommend holding off from installing this

ok now so i was able to get recovery working and restore back to my backup if anyone else that installed this has any problems download whirleys bootmenu from his forum http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1720351
and get some something like root explorer or something similar
-Open Root Explorer
-Go to the System folder
-Go to the Bin folder
-Tap the button in the upper right corner to mount RW (This lets you edit files in there)
-Scroll down and find the file called hijack, long press and delete it.
-Scroll down to the file named logwrapper, longpress and delete it.
-Directly underneath that is a file named logwrapper.bin, long press and RENAME it to just logwrapper (so take off the .bin at the end)
-Tap the button in the upper right to mount as RO again
i would still hold off from installing this rom but if any one is having trouble getting bootmenu to come back and work this is the way to do it

I was wondering about using Google now. It the past i remember miui being pretty small.
2. Who the hell are these guys? He/they found a me865 leak before us, tries to port miui and failed then asked for the mb865 leak in a new thread( and was flamed and called "we todd did" or retarded). Then comes back three weeks later with a working miui.
3. He and [email protected] seem to have access to a Chinese forum/"technicians" (to quote sky) i don't. What and who is it?

I would hold of from flashing this but it seems they posted 2 miui roms the top one is like 200mb that is like double than a regular miui and the bottom one is like 190mb and is a little different from the top
EDIT.... Cleared out due to this post not being needed anymore.
Tip: if /system of this ROM doesn't include bootmenu. Use the system keeper option in Bootmenu BEFORE rebooting. Select install hijack. If it doesn't work. Restore a backup (hopefully you had one) all before rebooting.
Or use method above to install bootmenu again if you really want to use this ROM badly. But if you bootloop your stuck and will have to FXZ. Better safe than sorry.

rdavisct had done it several times.. there are some issues.
I have TMOUS HTC One S.
Unlocked boot loader and installed TWRP with "HTC ONE S AIO KIT". Phone works properly. I can reboot to recovery and do backup, restore, etc.
But when I try to flash ROM I get this error:

I flashed TWRP v2.3.0.0 and I get the exact same error.
I am flashing properly, wiping, etc.
Don't know what could be wrong... I am S-ON I think.

Also, S-ON shouldn't matter as long as your bootloader is unlocked...the only thing S-ON would affect, is the fact that you would need to flash the boot.img separately, but that wouldn't cause the ROM flash to display errors your receiving...fastboot flash a new recovery, reboot your bootloader, open your new recovery, completely wipe, and try again, using 2.4.1.0 or 2.4.1.1.

Yea, T-Mobile US is S4 only. I'm using 2.4.1.1, and I have no issues, try that one.

I installed 2.4.1.1 and flashed correctly NRG rom. Thank you for your help.
-.I do notice some strange things. After first boot phone resets itself
-. If I try to enter recovery by "adb reboot recovery" I can only enter on my second attempt or third. .It doesnt always enter to recovery.

Was asking bc didn't know if you could have gotten an S3 that way. I know nothing of the S3's except for processor speed is 1.7 I believe. But, if you flashed NRG it must be S4.
If you still have issues I would reformat sdcard, backup to pc first. I would then wipe all in recovery 3X to include System. Then reflash rom.

It is definetly an S4 One S... it's from TMOUS and also checked it with Quadrant.
With the suggested TWRP I am able to flash ICS roms and JB roms (after flash zip I need to fastboot boot.img). The problem is that I can't get back to ICS roms with nandroid backup.
Now I am using Viper One S 2.1 but my 3G and HDSPA speeds are real slow! So I want to go back to NRG rom but if I restore my nandroid backup my screen stays blank after HTC screen.
What can I do? RUU back?
the same thing happened to me, what hboot boot are u on, now that we have s off i had just updated to hboot 2.15 and i couldn't flash viper 2.1 so using the same recovery 2.4.3.0 ( now that we have s off and flashable hboots i just flashed back to good old reliable 1.09 and i successfully flashed viper, o and im running viper 2.1 and im on t mobile i get up to 18mbps, i got the build prop details if u want to keep viper because i love my viper and i would not changing for anything even wifi hotspot is working on this rom

I was trying differebt radios but i still dont get the 3g signal of my stock rom.
I am no in tmobile network, i live in chile and our networks use 3g 850/1900 and not AWS like tmous...

Yes, just like rugmank said there is a flashable zip called "Temporary Radio Installer V2" that helps you change the radio on JB sense based roms. It's great.
Do you know if I still need to match my RIL to my RADIO?

Im not sure, I have always gotten satisfactory results, by getting the latest radio and even more so by editing the build prop this last one can change the speed drasticly do u have the values for your location and carrier?
Running Danvdh GPE 4.4 edition and just got this notification. To bad I can't hit download on my locked At&t phone. But the good news is the update is pushing out to be rooted and made flashable.

I got my S4 from At&t before they locked the bootloader down tighter. So I was able to use this to root and then flash roms using the loki doki eploit. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2297900
Still doesnt help with stock versions like this update though. They have to be worked on and made flashable in a custom recovery.
My screen died and it was cheaper to send to Samsung for repair. Came back with a locked bootloader and UCUNI1.

Wow that sucks dude. If that happened to me I'd probably run my phone over w/ my car and go get a Nexus 6. I'll never go back to this BS with locked bootloaders again.

so weird, i haven't been to this forum in a while and was reading about the nexus 6 earlier. came over here to see if any work had been done for lollipop on the s4 and saw your post. AS I WAS READING IT i got the update like the one you posted in the picture too! coincidence!!
i'm also on GPE 4.4 and haven't had any issues with it. what would happen if we clicked "download" on the 5.0 lollipop screen? kill our phones? i ain't gonna do it, just curious lol

This was an unwise decision. My phone is now stuck at the Samsung Galaxy S4 boot up screen, and it says "recovery booting" in blue at the top, but it's not moving. Trying to force it to reboot, it does the same thing. Ah well, was worth a shot.

I take that back, it just took a while - when I left it alone it finally went into recover and is now updating.

Since I337m has an unlocked bootloader, I don't see why it wouldn't work. I don't think the partitions are different. It may have an issue if it patches the kernel and not flashes a new one but that can be fixed by flashing a kernel. I don't know much about all that though.
What I do know is if anybody on the Safestrap GPE's gets an OTA notification, they shouldn't take it because it will not work. Even if the update goes through, we can't change kernels without tripping the unauthorized software screen and Lollipop doesn't boot on our stock kernel.

The update ended up failing midway, and the phone rebooted into my previous rom normally - I grabbed the GPe rom from the development forum - intended for this model and flashed it via recovery - that one is working a treat. Finished flashing, and I am just setting up my apps now.

INSTALLATION:
MUST BE ROOTED!
1. Install Flashfire by @Chainfire from play store.
2. Make sure zip file is on ext sdcard as this will wipe user system, user data, int sdcard
3. Open Flashfire app (agree to terms) then press the red plus button in lower right corner and select flash zip file.
4. On the next pop up screen press the check box in the top right corner.

my set up
just a heads up, after flashing this it would be advised to turn auto updates off in the play store. after flashing the su app was updated and i lost root. also i have xposed installed and activated all my current modules and encryption at boot enabled. after a reboot i kept getting system ui has stopped working i had to fight through until i could eventually get to settings and turn encryption off. i dont get the sys ui problem at boot anymore but it happens randomly still but not often. also with xposed i turned some modules i dont need off like adblocker and clarity along with a couple others and everything is running pretty good now. the main problem is not turning the auto updates off so su doesnt update and you loose root along with the encryption. that may be just me but it was a pain getting constant sys stopped pop ups until i could turn it off. anyway, nice rom! looking forward to future updates. would like to see your other bootanimation without having to reflash the rom though. im using the second one with the floyd playing....nice.

any plans to add wifi calling for any carriers if possible? im on at&t and use the wifi calling at work and home. mostly at work because i dont get a signal in the lab and rely on the wifi.

sorry just got home from working overnight so busy on here. is there an system app that was removed in the rom or one we had an option to remove during flash that would stop samsung apps from upgrading? well the apps upgrade fine its the themes and theme store that wont. i get an error -19 trying to update the theme store and i have two themes that keep trying to update and error out
Been running this for about 24 hours now. Holy crap my phones works so much better! First rooted rom I've ran and haven't had to flash govtuner. You're the man!!!

Samsung apps update auto unless you remove the Samsung store I don't believe it can be changed unless it's like the play store where you can choose your update options...
As for SuperSU unless you change the option in play store no way to stop it unless there's an option in the su app itself.

yeah i turned updates off on the play store thats why i mentioned it. and i dont know whats up with the samsung theme store it wont update, just fails.
