Hello! I'm Michele and I'm new in this forum. I'm writing here because I have two big problems with my (out of warranty) Asus TF300TG: it was suffering of reboot problems, so I tried to flash a custom stock rom (Grimlock, for example), and this did not solve the problem... the tab casually reboots, and sometimes it is quite unusable (boot-1minut-reboot-reboot-1/2 minut-freeze-reboot loop for 5/6 times...).
I tried to flash a CyanogenMod rom, 10.2 for TF300T... the tab did not reboot but the WiFi didn't work. Yesterday I tried to flash the CM11, but still I have the same problem: no WiFi, but no reboot. Do you know if there is any solution to this problem? (using CM11 based rom and having a working wifi, or using stock based rom without reboot issue? I don't want 3G connection... only WiFi!) Thank you for all!
Michele
HI
I have a TF300TG using stock rom ( Android 4.2.1,unlocked, rooted, TWRP recovery installed )
Did not experience yr problem. No spurious reboot, Wifi/3G Ok
I think you made a mistake when you've flashed yr 300TG with Rom for 300T...doing that, you're almost sure - from what I've read - to lose yr Wifi
Hi, thank for your answer! I have my pad rooted, then I installed twrp (2.5.0.0 and now the 2.6.3.0, for cm11). The first rom was the grimlock for tf300tg. Here, the problem was only the bootloop... WiFi was perfect, but sometimes the tablet was unusable. With the cm 10.2 or 11, I have no bootloop problem but the pad can't "find" any wifi network. Every cm based rom (pacman, omni etc) gives wifi problem on my pad. Somewhere, I read that t and tg are the same pad (different only for 3g module)... It's a strange problem

You can Nvflash a stock ROM, but Guevor's kernel will also fix your wifi issues. Don't use ROM manager, it causes bootloops. Also try a different ROM (which did you flash), and you must get the CM9/AOKP based kernel to get wifi to work on an AOSP ROM. (See megatron version in guevor's thread)
So I'm new to rooting and flashing custom roms on android devices. This also shows that I'm new because I forgot to make a backup of my stock system before moving forward, hence this problem.
So I currently have CM 10.2 flashed on my phone and so far I can't get the wifi to work. My bluetooth works perfectly fine (I've read that if one fails usually the other should too), so I don't know what to do.
At this point I'm sure i'm stuck because I've flashed a few different roms already to see if i can fix it (10.0, 10.1, 10.2, and hacker's aosp 4.4) but the wifi isn't working in either so I stuck to the rom that had the fewest bugs.
What's weird was that it was working when I had 4.4 flashed, but when i found it too buggy and flashed CM 10.2, now it doesn't work.
Anyone else have this problem? I guess I can live with it for a while until maybe I purchase a new phone.
Thanks

Did you flash 10.2 directly over 4.4 without wiping system data and both caches?

The first time, no. I thought I may have installed 4.4 incorrectly so after installing 10.2 i tried flashing 4.4 again, but I did wipe the caches, system, data and dalvik caches the second time going back after reading in this forum how to flash over a custom rom. But then seeing that the bugs were still there, i wiped again and went back to 10.2 and I've been there for a day now.
Missed Wifi
I'm facing the same trouble , same conditions.
Solved

That worked! Thank you!
Hi guys,
I'm pretty noob around here so if I ask you silly questions please don't bother.
The problem is, I fed up with my stock Asus firmware on my TF300TG and decided to install a custom rom.
Unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP 2.5.0.0 for custom recovery. Then i did research on xda and find out Grimlock V2.2 is suiting my daily usage.
I did factory reset, wipe dalvik cahce and installed Grimlock and everything went OK. But after I boot into Grimlock 3G worked but I can't open wi-fi.
I thought sometimes just rebooting fixes most of things, then I reboot my tablet. This time i can see wi-fi is connecting but it doesn't connect at all. You can't visit any website or download apps from Google Play. 3G works smooth though.
Than i tried to install with TF300 kernel, this time as expected 3G has gone but wi-fi works perfect.
So which kernel should I use or what should I do to use 3G and wi-fi at the same time.
Thank you!

I wonder if it was just a bad install. I haven't heard of anybody else having problems with the wifi with the TG kernel. I'd recommend to try and do a fresh install again, doing all wipes, and making sure to choose the kernel for the TF300TG.

Sorry to reply late, I was on a business trip and didn't have enough time to try this.
Anyway I tried it about 10min ago but wi-fi problem still exists.
Did all the wipes I can.

Are you able to take a logcat and send it to me? Most TG users are running this rom without issue.
I installed Grimlock 2.2 rom on my TF300TG. Before this, I had latest Asus firmware installed on, bootloader unlocked and rooted.
With this new firmware, when I poweron it, if I try to connect it using either 3g or wifi activating them, it can't connect (on wifi it founds my wifi network but can't obtain IP address).
If I activate 3g (or wifi) and reboot, then it connect successfully.

I would suggest 2 options:
1) Install CROMI instead of GRIMLOCK - NEWEST CROMI
2) Run the kernel installer by sbdags on the second post of the thread: KERNEL INSTALLER POST - Installing a TF300TG kernel in here should fix the wifi issues in GRIMLOCK. These kernels are all compatible with GRIMLOCK as well.

Hey hardslog. Thank you for your reply.
Before your reply I have flashed CROMI and testing it now. So far, so good But I think I will give GRIMLOCK another shoot using your advice
Can anyone tell me if I could run a stock Kernel on the 6.0.1 version of Katkiss? And if so, how do I load a kernel? I'm having wifi issues that were not there when I was on a stock rom.
Hello!
I was using the SungSonic ROM for almost a year now and I decided to change it today. So I flashed a CyanogenMod Nightly build for the P3100 This morning.
It booted up fine, and there were no issues in the beginning.
But then it started disconnecting calls randomly. Like, Someone calls, The phone rings for a second and boom! It shows a missed call.
I figured rebooting it would fix it but it made my problem only worse.
It now barely shows any Network service at all. If it is there, only for about 20s before it goes back off.
Is there any way to fix it without flashing another ROM? I like CyanogenMod and plus, its for my mother and I prefer keeping it simple.
Also, keep in mind that my Tab does not get recognised on any PC with any Cable I could find.
So, I am stuck with PhilZ Recovery for the P3100.
If the problem can be fixed via Flashing a new Mode/Baseband then please, give me a .zip for only the modem and not the whole ROM.
Thank You for Reading and I will hope you guys help me out.
Regards,
Shinichi Reshima
Always do a nandroid B/U before you flash so if you run into a problem like this you can go back. CM nightlys are not always stable, and sometimes you can't use them unless you have the base stable version of that ROM already installed. Must try and install the base version of the build, it may fix your problem. I run CM11 by Android Andi with no issues and no nightlys.
