[Q] Epic Celluon Mobile Projection Keyboard Not Working with NVIDIA Shield? - Shield Q&A

Hi,
So I just recently picked up my mobile projection keyboard (which connects via Bluetooth) and paired it up with my NVIDIA Shield. However, I am unable to actually use it with the Shield (it won't type nor is it recognized as a gamepad by Retroarch). Is there any app or firmware update I can download that would allow for this type of device to be operable with the Shield?

[Q] Shield as USB / BT gamepad?

Does the Shield work as a PC gamepad via USB or Bluetooth connection? I am not talking about the Steam/streaming option. I know that basically does work, but only for PCs capable of streaming(unlike mine). I thought it would be cool if you could plug into usb and use the shields gamepad to control a pc game. The benefit of this vs. streaming would be that the shield's screen could be blank, conserving battery. And if it worked via bluetooth you would have a wireless controller.
If these are not possible as-is I am sure they could be made possible with an android app and PC service. Is anyone else interested in this? If so I may try to create something.
Edit:
I have made an app that works over wifi. Get it here - Shield2PCGamepad

It doesn't. And it probably won't directly via USB (dont think android will allow you to access USB in the correct way). Bluetooth + a PC service is probably doable though.
Is there been any more progress looking into this? I would love to be able to use it just as a controller on the pc. it's much more comfortable then an xbox controller.
I would never use this over an Xbox controller. There is a weird dead zone on this controller so you can't play games like black Ops 2 with it.

I just paired via BT to my Sony duo 11 however I do not have any app to allow gamepad to be used. Any ideas?

[Q] Game controller support for Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+

Hello everyone.
I'm having some difficulties connecting my Dual Shock 3 controller to my Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+.
I'm a long time user of the Playstation emulator FPSE. however, ever since buying this tablet, I haven't been able to connect my controller. It's like the app doesn't recognize it.
I'm suspecting it has something to do with the fact that my tablet supports USB host mode as in it charges any devices connected by USB.
In any case, I tried downloading the app Sixaxis Enabler, and when running the tutorial and trying to connect my controller, a message said something like "tablet software doesn't support game controllers."
Does anyone have an explanation for this problem?
Thanks.

Use GameCube Controller on my Shield?

I primarily use my Shield portable for streaming GameCube/Wii games on the Dolphin emulator, and it works very well. So, I was wondering if there is any way to get my GameCube controller to work properly on my Shield. I have the Mayflash GC to USB adapter (the 2-port purple one) that I use for the Dolphin emulator on my PC. I have attempted to plug it into my Shield, and it seems that the left stick works correctly and all other buttons, including the triggers, function as an A button, however the right stick does not function at all. I'm assuming the other buttons just don't have the same input names (I guess that's what you call them) that the shield uses. I have not yet found an app that will recognize the other inputs of the controller, and I was wondering if there is possibly something I can use to get full functionality out of the controller.
Currently I've just been using my Xbox 360 controller along with the wireless adapter for it, since it is fully supported.
You ever find out anything with this? I'm interested in using the GC controller on my shield tv

The new shield controller problems.

The controller works fine when i connect it with bluetooth to the tablet and with cable. But i cant use consol mode on the tablet connected to tv with hdmi and it says there missing a controller. Still able to play games and stuff with the controller on the tablet. And it wont connect through the shield accessories app, and i think thats the problem. Someone have any thought/ideas how to fix this issue?
Yes, read in the Nvidia Tablet forums. The new controller does not work with the current OS. You have to wait for the update.

Nvidia K1 tablet, screen output to pc

Hi guys,
I own a tablet Nvidia shiled and I'd like to produce some youtube content. I want to record my gameplay in high resolution, therefore mirroring Apps don't do the trick. I bought a miniHDMI cable, but since my Surface ( windows) only has a mini Display port, I had to buy a HDMI- display port adaptor. When I connect the two devices nothing happens, is it a hardware, settings or software issue? Should I download an app that recognizes HDMI inputs to my Surface?
Thanks in advance.
you want to record your PC gaming or Nvidia Shield gaming?
The Nvidia Shield has a screen recorder built-in. Check the quick settings (drop down menu).
Once recorded you can copy the videos to your PC (via WiFi) and edit them.
HDMI out is for viewing the Shield contents on a bigger screen (TV or PC HDMI screens). So nothing to do with recording!
