hi i have a problem with the usb mass sotrage im on android 4.2.2 sense 5
im s-off , unlocked , radio 1.31 and i cant mount the mass storage i have twrp 2.6.3.0 it appears a message in the pc that say that i need to unlock the pin or pattern and the htc sync manager dont let me do anything and some stuff like that but i wipe the system dalvik cache data and now i cant put the rom file in the sd card , what i need to do
You might need to update your drivers. It isn't usb mass storage on Sense 5 though, thru changed it to the MTP format. If you really want to use mass storage you can mount it via the mount menu in TWRP.

I was trying to test a new rom out and when i finished installing it everything just completely fails. When i connect my USB in, mass storage dosent appear so i cant add a rom that i know that works on my phone (and i dont have a backup) . Anyone knows a way to fix it?
Also, when i try to open settings it just crashes same with messages.
Do u have an externel sd card to put a rom on?

go to Settings -> SD Card & Phone Storage -> mass storage only
that should enable you to mount the memory as mass storage.

Hi everybody, i am a new member (a noob) so i really need your help. I am using a Samsung Galaxy Wonder GT-I8150, i rooted it and flashed the cm9 rom using cmw recovery 5. Now when i want to download something or take a picture (i installed a camera app because cm9's camera is not working) it tells me that i need to insert my sd card. I go back to cmw recovery 5 - Mounts and Storage - Mount Usb Storage, it says: Usb Mass Storage Device Leaving this menu unmount your sd card from your pc. I tried using this option while my phone is connected to the pc but nothing happens, any help plz?:crying:
Maybe, you should try to format sdcard.

It could be something as simple as your SD card being not properly inserted into the slot - maybe because you accidentally dropped it. Try opening the phone's back and removing the SD card and then reinserting it. make sure it properly sits in its slot. If the problem still persists, wait for someone with better knowledge to come along.
Sorry for the title but I didnt know how could I describe it more precisely.
Problem is. I rooted gf`s htc explorer and I didnt have sd adapter so I tried to format micro sd via minitool partition wizard while it was inside phone connected via usb to pc.
After that I lost possibility to change usb mode from charging to file transfer since my card doesnt show up on pc/mobile/cwm anymore. EXCEPT "mount usb storage" in cwm. With that I see the card in pc, I can reformat it or transfer files. But I cant use it its not visible at all..only in that cwm mount usb storage.
I was browsing web/xda for like 2 hours and im quite desperate.
Any help how to make it visible again?
Its only unlocked-rooted-stock..was preparing it for link2sd.

Recently my phone was stuck off and not openeing and i want to flas a new Rom to it , but I am unable to copy my downloaded Rom to it beacuse phone is not starting to connect mass storage to PC, and also nexus s GT -i9020 have no external memory card slot. then how I connect my phone's mass storgae to PC to copy this ROM .
Please help about this Problem.

Boot in recovery. Under the menu 'Mounts and Storage', chose to Mount USB storage. Now connect to computer and transfer your ROM.

I have been searching since past 2 days ...yes I know we can repartition the data and system partitions... but I want the new partition to behave as an external sd card ...did not find any data on this yet ....
The whole aim of this is to enable mass storage mode when connecting to pc usb cable as phones with only "internal storage" just have the mtp device mode ...please guide me in the right direction if anyone knows if this can be done ...thanks in advance.
