I will have my 8gb version in a couple of days. I was wondering if we can stream music (stream, not downlaod it) from Gdrive using google play music or some other app.
Couldnt find this answer no where.
Is this even possible? any other solution?
I don't think it will be possible to stream from drive through play music. But you can download the music manager from Google to upload your songs on play music. Then you can stream them from phone.

Ok so the shine is already wearing off the new update that gives Australia the option to purchase music from Google play, I've just bought an album and downloaded it and I wanted to play it in Poweramp but can't find it? Can anyone tell me why

But what if I don't want to play it through Google Music app I did just purchase the album I should be able to play it through what ever i like
I believe it is because the files aren't actually downloaded. You stream them from the cloud using the google music player application.

If you read the instructions some where it gives you the option to download as opposed to stream .Either for your uploads or paid for music .

So I contacted google about this, yes there is an option to download through the apo or through your pc using music manager (googles answer to itunes I guess).
If you download directly from within the app on your device you can only play it through google music.
If you download it via your pc I usjng music manager you can side load it and play it though whatever you want ie poweramp.
Quite frankly I dont see why google have to make it so difficult and just allow us to download it directly to our Devices and play it how we want for gods sake
I have tons of mp3's stored in the music folder of my Nexus 5. Poweramp can find them and play them fine. Play Music though, says that no music is found on my device. Any idea why?

Hi all.. just got my N5.. was trying out the OTG feature with a SanDisk Dual Pro.. ive stored some songs on the OTG Pen drive.. though i am able to see the files using ES File Explorer, I'm not able to play the songs using Rocket Player or Poweramp.. the songs are only being played through google music, but no option to make a playlist..
please help..

Playlists can only be created from locally stored music. Regarding the app, don't really know. Maybe trial and error will be the only approach. But why don't you simply copy the music locally?

My question is: The watch is able to play music. but is the watch also able to control the music player of the phone?
I am playing music from my phone using bluetooth on a HIFI music System. Can I now Control the music with my watch?
So: Watch => Bluetooth => phone to Control the music. then Phone => Bluetooth => HIFI System for playing?

Yes you can. On the watch you can chose to control music from the watch or phone. Works with any music player opened on the phone...neutron, poweramp etc

I acquired an XZP and I can't play music using the default app. When I want to listen to an album, it simply steps to the next song in about 25 seconds, so I can't listen any album. I have tried to install this app musix post however android told me that there is a conflict and it will not install the app.
This is regarding drm? I have never face this problem before. Thank you! Regards!
what kind of files are they? have you tried using google music to listen to the local files?
hi! they are just mp3 files. nothing weird. I didn't tried google play because a friend told me he has the same problem as me with the drm and they cannot play the files.
Poweramp works fine on my XZP and can find and play Amazon and Play Music (on SD card) files. Local Prime Music files have DRM, though.

Just to give an update: I have tried to play some mp3 and suddenly a warning come up stating "cannot reproduce audio". Restarted the phone (I already did a lot of times before in order to "solve" the problem) and then started to work. Now I can play the entire track without any problem. Magic? Luck? Whatever now it is working fine. Regards!
