Hi,
I am using cyanogenmod and I am very happy about that. The only thing I am missing is the Samsung keyboard with which you can write with spen. So is there any keyboard out there that can do the same?

How about trying Stylus Beta?
Play store link
I use it on my Hyperdrive RLS7 ROM instead of the normal stock keyboard. Much better imo.

7notes mazec. It's not cheap (about $7 USD) but it seems to have the best recognition that I've tried so far.
Comes with a note program as well.

Hi this is my first time using ICS and I am finding it hard to get used to the keyboard.
I was wondering what keyboard everyone uses/recommends on their One S
Thanks

I use stock. I'm coming from the Glacier so its been difficult getting used to the larger screen. But the swipe function in stock helps a great deal.

Hey,
I'm using now SwiftKey 3 ... before it was released I'd prefered Smart Keyboard Pro ... because I cannont handle Keyboards without a little bit of space between the buttons.
regards,
mmry
Thanks I will have a look and try those, I dont see the point of some of the keys like the arrows at the bottom it just seems too crowded for me
It's a toss up between the new swift keyboard and slideit for me... Also Used A. I. Keyboard with no problems, but for sure tons of options
STOCK AOSP ICS keyboard is the best! Get it in the market if you are using sense rom.

One alternative, is to install the new Kii keyboard Google Play Link, it has the numbers on the top, support swype and a lot of tweaks.
I use it for a few days now, and I like it

Smart keyboard....that too with English dictionary..the best..:thumbup::thumbup:
My vote goes to SwiftKey. The flow feature is really impressive. It'll be standard on the s4 if that provides some insight into how good it is.

IT'S WHAT YOU MAKE OUT OF IT!
I tried Touchpal for a while and I found it pretty good. Easey to use and very customizable. Also, it's free
SwiftKey keyboard
SwiftKey was the first app I actually paid for because it was simply the best keyboard I found and I didn't want to have to go back to worse.

SwiftKey or Stock JB 4.2.x with gestures are best in my opinion.
Swiftkey 4 hands down.

I agree. I've only found Smart Keyboard to have the T9 layout, which is how I type 99% of the time. I wish the stock keyboard had it =[
I've used swipe until I found version 4 of SwiftKey. Both are very good but I'm keeping SwiftKey for now
As many people told you, I will choose Swiftkey 4
Once you try, you don't want another keyboard !!

Agreed
Smart Keyboard Pro v4.4.0 with the English dictionary. I find it better than any other.

The 'One' heavily relies on software tweakerings and modifications to work properly (camera, etc)
Also the button layout is a problem.
(Getting an on-screen bar for the menu button and double tap home for recents)
With all this Google won't be able to
deliver a true Nexus experience, just the normal HTC One experience looking like vanilla Android.
The S4 on the other hand uses a 'normal' camera and button layout that works well with vanilla Android.
(And SD-card support people have been moaning about)

For some reason Google Keyboard improves my accuracy. Maybe it's just coincidence.
I un-installed it though. Aesthetically it was horrible, and it took up too much space and used too much ram for my liking. Back to stock SJB 8.0 keyboard. Loving it.
then dailops

I had a look at Google keyboard... and to be frank i dint like it this much .. look wise it is too simple thus too boring .. and functioning wise it is just average.. so nothing good about it ..
Swype keyboard is good! xD
