[Q] CWM 6.0.4.3 and CM 11 not working on Motorola Photon Q? - Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE

After trying and trying to flash cm 11 from my cm 10.2 I keep getting set_metadata_recursive = failed. Both in twrp and cwm, I read that you need cwm 6.0.4.3 or higher to flash cm 11, I looked on the website and only 6.0.1.3 is available to the photon q. I can't find such a thing. Is there something i'm missing? I also tried wiping data before install and then doing it without wiping since it was an update. Why would Cyanogenmod give me an update in the built in updater on cm 10.2 if I couldn't flash it? Please help.

Try this version of TWRP. Or the latest OpenRecovery.

What do you mean by not being able to install cm11? If you mean an error in recovery (status 7 something, I don't remember), try installing one of the recoveries here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548257 or newest PhilZ Touch http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2202667. Make sure you have the gapps package for kitkat. If you're coming from stock or another ROM, factory reset first.

Probably the status 7 error, what recovery are you using? You need a CWM 6.0.4.4 based recovery or newer to flash cm11. By the way, cm10.1.3 stable should still be available on get.cm if you want to try that.

That comes with gapps, and it'll update itself anyway, so no worries. Again, just make sure you install the correct gapps package.

Clockwork mod backup problem

Hi, I'm having a problem with the latest clockwork mod 6.0.4.5. I made a backup of my rom and even if the operation was successfully concluded when I checked it I cannot find it in the related folder. Any suggestion?
I'm on latest euphoria rom with latest elementary kernel. Thanks

You can, but if you're using Euphoria 1.1 don't use TWRP 2.8.6, it's got bugs. Try finding TWRP 2.8.5.2.
I used to use CWM, because it seems like a cleaner, more elegant interface (I know it's just a list, but it looks less amateurish) but after switching to TWRP I see no reason to go back.

Unable to update to 12.1

So today I saw that the 12.1 update is downloaded and asking me to install it. But, when I do try installing it the screen is stuck at the Cyanogen Recovery.
The usual options in recovery screen are displayed, why isn't the OS updating?
FYI - My OPO is rooted and also has TWRP recovery installed. I also tried disabling the Update Cyanogen Recovery option but the same option.
Any assistance would be great

You can't flash the OTA with TWRP recovery. You can either flash the stock recovery and then install the OTA, or you can download the full ROM zip and flash that with TWRP.

Sorry, a little question (and sorry to the OP)
Ive try to install the ota manually (i was rooted with twrp) flashing back the cm recovery, but it doesnt work still.
So ive flash the twrp 2.8.6 (for the baseband not installing prolems) and downloaded the full rom file, flashed in twrp without any wipes... Its all ok now, should i have problems with this method?
The baseband is 241,is correct?
Thx for helping

You don't need to be a techie to know that the updates must be taken in order. Go to Settings>About Phone, take screenshots of the info there and post here so I can see please.
