Rooting can be done by any rooting software? - General Questions and Answers

Rooting can be done in any android device by any rooting software or Batch file rooting process from computer?
All the phones should be rooted by their own rooting process.. which are available for their particular phones?

NO specific devices can be rooted by specific apps, kernels and specific software's via PC, so you have to find out which device will work with what app or software by looking at your device guides. Go here for rooting apps , kernels and software's ( mostly for Samsung)

[Completed] How Do I Root my Galaxy S6 (LMY47X.G920FXXU3COJ1)

I have tried KingoRoot with no success and I do not want to trip my KNOX warranty with CFRoot.
Hello,
I'm not finding any other rooting method on XDA, CF-autoroot is the method everyone uses.
If you don't want use autoroot then your only option is to use the one click android rooting apps or the one click rooting Tools for PC.
Do a Google search for "Android rooting apps" or "android rooting tools for PC" and try all the one's that are designed to be used on all devices.
You can try posting your question in the forum linked below.

Before rooting your android phone, you should know its benefits and disadvantages. This can offer you reference to judge whether to root your device or not.
Benefits:
1. You can customize your phone freely. Rooting can help you flash a custom ROM and Kernel so that you can customize your android freely.
2. You can install the latest OS. Only root your device can you get the newest OS a few months before the carrier releases the update.

Need help rooting my Samsung Galaxy Young Plus TV GT-S6293T

So far I have tried Kingoroot through USB, at 99% it displayed a warning message saying it would flash recovery through Odin and that it could potentially brick my device, so I cancelled the process.
Is there any *safe* way of rooting this specific device? I could not find any custom ROMs for it (but I would rather like rooting and staying with the stock ROM, anyways)
I have also tried other auto rooting apps that failed to root my device because the exploits included don't support my model.
Thanks

[Q] Finding a way to root from rooted devices?

Hi,
Is it possible to find a way to root from already rooted devices? It may sound weird, but I got a rooted device from one who did not provide how to do it. Since I have another device which I want to root, I hope there is any way to extract some pieces of information.
It is not a typical device with customized bootloader. I can extract some files like hacked system apps but it should be not enough. Any suggestion or advice?
Best,

Are the two devices the same? If not then, no, the other rooted device won't help you.
To find how to root the device you want to root, do a Google search for:
"How to root (your model number)"

Yes, they are exactly the same. And obviously the reason why I'm asking here is there is no information on Google.
After researching, I'm pretty sure that eMMC hacking is the only probable way that does not depend on a specific/unknown device. As it's been done with Amazon TV here (http://solderwiresandplastic.com/20...the-amazon-firetv-to-achieve-root-privileges/).

Careful, the android on TVs and TV sticks/boxes isn't quite the same as android on phones and tablets.
If the other device is rooted and is identical you can try using adb to pull a copy of the system.img from the rooted device. Then use adb to push the rooted system.img to the non rooted device. Or use fastboot to flash the rooted system.img onto the non rooted device.
What is the model number of your non rooted device? Is the rooted device the exact same model number? Or does it have the same device name but different model number? I'll make sure there are no device specific things that you need yo know about that might cause issues.
Rooting by directly interfacing with eMMC is a very extreme method that is very rarely used.

Thanks for the reply. But I'm not that ignorant to try exactly the same method for TV to other devices or to be confused with model numbers or so. Usual rooting methods are not applicable in this case, for even USB communication is blocked intentionally for security reasons. If I could use adb to connect to the device, I would not ask this kind of question.
I know hardware hacking is very extreme, and devices whose rooting method is unknown usually require such extreme methods. Of course, I won't try to modify eMMC myself because it's too risky. On the other hand, it looks quite easy and promising compared to unusual rooting methods, e. g. hacking firmware update routine to penetrate system files.

Anyone Tell Me [ How to make Root and TWRP for a specific device ]

Hiee Guys ! I have used lots of android phones since 10 years and also familiar with them . I always try to root every phone but a problem is that every android phone cannot be rooted . So, please anyone tell me that how i can make root for any device and how i can make twrp for any device .
Thank You in Advance......
As far as compiling TWRP, you can start with this thread. Any device such as pixels upgraded to A10 don't have TWRP so because recovery has changed drastically and development of TWRP had not yet caught up.
Root is available for any device that is rootable. Magisk does a pretty good job of covering the bases and is under active development so properly reported issues are generally addressed.
Finding an exploit to be able to root a device is a different matter. Some, like pixels, are straightforward to root since if bought from Google (not a carrier directly) they have unlockable bootloaders allowing the installation of non-stock images. On a device that does not allow the bootloader to be unlocked, an exploit to achieve root must be found. That is often the issue combined with many of these devices do not attract developers to purchase them and thus no attempts are made.

If the device is a device that has a locked bootloader that can not be unlocked, you will not be able to use TWRP. These devices can only be rooted if there is a rooting app or rooting program available for PC or android that has an exploit that works on the device.
If the bootloader is locked, you won't be able to install TWRP or use TWRP to root the device and you will not be able to flash a Magisk patched boot.img to achieve root.
If there are no exploits available that are proven to work on the device, you won't be able to root the device.
