I wish they made lifeproof cases for Android devices.
My sister and her boyfriend has them on their iPhones and they are SWEET. They were recording video under water / playing music etc. It was NUTS.

Sony hurt XJ users!

Sony now sell Sony Xperia L.
It is set in RM899(Malaysia-Original).
But,Xperia J RM799!
(two of release date between 6 months only)
This is really hurt me.
(if I don't buy XJ,can use more RM100 to buy XL)
Is another country's users has this problem?

Already noted this, luckily I buy miro instead of J but no JB, too bad.
Yep, same thing here in Portugal. It just costs 100€ more, and probably there will be some discount after two or three months...
If I knew that Sony would launch Xperia L so soon, I would have waited. Seriously.

Earphone incompatibility

I have an x10 mini pro, which came with earphones, model MH610, and now I also have a Xperia J with MH410c earphones. The thing is, although the jack is the same, than can't be switched. They don't work with the other phone...
I saw somewhere saying it has to do with the "c" or non "c" in the model. Is that right? Does anyone know if there's an adapter somewhere that converts one to the other, so I can use only one headphone for both phones?
Thanks.
Yes. X10 headset works as omtp mode. The new type is ctia. There are omtp to ctia adapter.

Thanks a lot man. Now I know what to look for. Buy you a beer when I see you.
Jack must be with no microphone for work...

I really don't get the incompatibility and how it exists since the adopted protocol is the CTIA one. I have a pair of Panasonic headphones I use with my iPhone and my tipo won't recognise them.

Um, sony ericsson did this headphones with mic jack first. Since apple think different, everyone switched to ctia now. Blame apple. That panasonic? Is it just headphones (2 black rings)

CTIA and OMTP Pinout
This I know 100%........
X10mini pro (U20i) & Samsung Galaxy Apollo (GT-I5800) = OMTP
Xperia J (ST26i), Xperia Miro (ST23i) & Iphone = CTIA
Pinout is as follows:
Therefore an adapter will work either way.

Jawbone up24

Hi guys,
I am looking for a fitness/activity tracker. And now I have seen the Jawbone UP24 but the Xperia Z is not listed on the compatible devices list.
The Xperia VC and the Xperia ZL are listed under compatibility list, ZL is the compact version of the Xperia Z so do you guys think that it will work on the Z?
P.s. i mailed the support but they started with a list of IOS devices that are compatible, so I do nog think they understand my question.

How is multitouch on Xperia L a hardware issue?

Please Explain How is multitouch on Xperia L a hardware issue? Can't play football games because of multitouch on dual joystick!
I don't even know if it was a hardware issue. I can't fix it with anything I've tried though

Because the sony xperia l is a low to midrange device, sony probably used some cheap digitizer for our phone that is causing these problems.
I have found out that many Sony Smartphones have problem with touchscreen(even high like xperia z1). Ex. Xperia Play,Xperia GO,SOLA,Tipo,SP,etc. Some phones got their problems fixed after a firmware update!
Indeed. A friend of mine bought a sony xperia E1 and has the same exact issue.
I'm about to buy an xperia L. Do you guys recomend it? I heard about the touchscreen issue and was disappointed. Can the touchscreen issue be fixed? Does it have the same issue with cm11?

This is a real pitty 'cause i can get this phone from amazon at a low price. I wanted it mostly because it seems to have great custom ROMs support.
Another question is: does the touch issue affect all xperia L phones? Or it's a matter of luck?
