there's a whole thread about this.. http://www.google.com/support/forum...ec&hl=en&fid=25293086b64af5ec0004902ae6cb07e5
anyway it looks like it's not rom/radio/app related , it has something to do with your gmail account

For some reason every time I send a message on XDA, they dont seem to be sending as they dont appear in my sent messages box at all. What could the problem be?

Same here man, the last 2 I`ve sent ar`nt there...
Same here, no messages at "Sent items" at all. Forum admins, please fix this one!
P.S. Hola, admins?!! We found a huge bug on XDA, how should I inform the responsible person?
Guys, this is not a bug in the system it is a User set option.
Go to User CP on the bar near the top of forum pages, choose Edit Options and then scroll down to the option to save sent messages in your sent messages folder.
ie User CP>Edit Options
NB for all those posting above, I have set the option to save messages. You don not need to follow the above instruction, though you might find other interesting options on that page

I'm afraid that I like the conversation style thread look so have never looked else where.
Although there must be a third party style message application that enables what you are after so keep looking

Try GO Sms Pro. AFAIK this app have "separate mode" for sorting messages. But mabye I am wrong.
All of my friends have iPhones (Im such a rebel)...
Often someone will initiate a text message to a group of us. On their phones, they all see the group, and the responses, as they come in, come in as part of a group dialogue of texts.
But on mine, they come in singly from the different contacts - so I cant tell whats a reply to the group, which texts came in which order or even who is in the group. And I dont think I can reply to the group either (or for that matter, not sure I can even initiate a group text).
I am using GoSMS. Does anyone know whether this client, or any of the android clients, would let me participate more in this kind of group text?

Thanks everyone for the feedback and sorry for posting in the wrong forum.
Regarding the suggestion above - I see under "Send Settings" in the Advanced Tab something called "MMS Group Chat"...is that what you mean should be checked?
There is also a setting called "Send as split conversations"...do I want this to be Unchecked?
Thank you.
Another good app is GroupMe. It allow texts to go through the app or to your sms.

Ive done this and been able to initiate group chats with iPhone users so thanks for the advice.
Will this work just the same when I am invited into a group chat by an iPhone user, or does it only work when I initiate? I noticed this was under Send Options, so its unclear...

Just to confirm, I tried initiating a group chat using an iphone and yes it works just like I initiated the group messaging using gosms.

awesome thanks everyone. this should be a major improvement in my texting experience.
and it helps me stay on GoSms. I tried switching to Handcent as I saw that they had a solution to this and didnt like it as much...
So, weird thing I've noticed about MMS messaging. Every time someone from a group sends a new text, I get the notification as normal but when I bring down the notification center and click on the text, it takes me to that persons individual thread of messages instead of the group that the text actually came from. I always have to click the back button and then click on the group message to see the new text.
Thoughts?

I think that's 'normal'. It always worked like that on my Rezound. Haven't had any group messages on the M8 yet.

Thats the stock messaging app for you. Same way on the M7. Hence why I switched to Hangouts or 8SMS.
Since posting this, I've tried several other SMS apps and have found that Hello SMS handles MMSv very well. Is also just a really nice looking app. Very simple.

Any one else having any group messaging problems since the new firmware? Along with the annoyance mentioned above it seems like when replying to a group chat... the messages go to each individual member and not the entire group (chat). Ideas? Thank you

Open messaging app > settings > MMS settings > make sure "group conversation" is checked. For me it was unchecked by default. That's the only thing I can think of!

Yeah. That doesn't work fine on stock messaging. Maybe, I'll try that as well.
I'm also having trouble getting mms Messages. I missed a couple and I'm also noticing that my 4G symbol changes from small symbol to larger one with the arrows below it. I assume this is trying to download the message over cellular. This happens about once a minute
