Hmm, am I weird or I don't have that issue? I just watched about 4hrs of YouTube videos (Modern Marvels) but not directly on the phone, just pushed to the TV from the cast thing to my WDTV.
I played a few quick videos on my phone directly too before doing the above and it worked just fine. I do have issues with it on HSPA even though I have 7.5Mbps speeds. Either routing or prepaid carrier slowing down youtube purposely!

YouTube randomly force closes

All of a sudden YouTube is force closing on me when trying to play some videos.. I've tried clearing the cache and data, I've removed and installed YouTube from the market and from a good known backup..
What gives? Noting has changed that I know of.. It worked fine one hour, the next trying to play the same video it will fc. But it will play some, I guess it's just picky and doesn't like my taste of videos.

Is a common Youtube Mobile today. For exemple for me it FCs when I want to watch a video, all my subscriptions were gone etc. (just on mobile version). And it happened on my 2.3.4 SGSII, on my 4.0.3 Nexus S and on CM7 SGS
So it's an issue with YouTube then? Makes sense because I have an epic doing the same thing but not as bad as the nexus.

i have no issues with youtube..
no force closing and my account subs work fine.
same issue for me with youtube when you select video it crashes...tried on stock and custom rom and problem still exists...so something wrong the app itself
its a problem with YouTube. Its happening to IOS users too. You'll notice your subscriptions may not be showing either.

YouTube not working over 4g LTE

Cannot get the YouTube app videos nor videos in the browser to stream over 4g. I switched over to 3g and it works fine and same with wifi. My neighbor has the Galaxy Nexus and YouTube over 4g works fine for him. I did a battery pull/sim pull as well as uninstall/reinstall the app. No go. Anyone else?

Reinstall the Rom or flash newer radios

I have the same issue..I have a droid charge also and it plays all the videos I attempt on my bolt without an issue on 4g. Like you say switch to 3g on the bolt and all is well..I've tried all sorts of things and NO BUENO!!

This has happened before and it seems to be a youtube app issue everytime..
+1
The youtube videos load but it takes minutes, that's if they load at all
It works fine on wifi
Also, my friends with Nexus have 0 youtube issues. And the wife's iphone has 0 issues.
More details
What is your ROM version? or YouTube app version? Where is your location? Maybe you should call not only VZW but HTC for help. My friend in NJ works well over 4G.
I am working now as of 2pm today. Wasn't working this morn. Weird.

The YouTube update fixed the slow loading issue.
I knew it wasn't the network because my friends nexus worked without issue.
Thanks everyone

I notice that issue this morning. video wasn't loading switched back to 3g and worked perfectly. not really a big deal for me.
I am also seeing this issue. HD Youtube videos take minutes to load on 4g and seconds to load on 3g and wifi. Non-hd videos work fine on 4g though. I'm seen it on multiple cm7 variants and across multiple radio releases (on the latest leaks now). Can be very frustrating when trying to watch videos or browse youtube

Issue with google play music not showing music until reboot

Hello all just got my nexus 5 and loving it so far. Was on iPhone for many years but tinkered a bit with Android. I am having issues with google play music not showing music that I download until I restart my phone. Is any one else experiencing this or know how to get music to show with out reboot? Any help appreciated. Thanks!

I have the same issue. This is using the default Play Music app. Cannot see music I have downloaded until I reboot my phone.
I fixed the problem by changing to different music downloading app

What music downloader are you using? I have this same issue with Music Maniac.

Try simple mp3 downloader

Which developer is it by? There's about 8 different ones and they are all the same but they are by different people haha

Try the one with the most downloads. For som reason I can find the one I have installed on the play store hah. They all look like the same thing anyways so not sure it matters which you get.

[Q] Feature Similar to Samsung Galaxy S5 Download Booster

The S5 seemed relatively unimpressive, however the download booster feature seems interesting where it uses lte and wifi for data. I was curious as to whether someone could port that over to the Nexus 5 or create their own implementation.
P0rn download b00ster. Moar plox google
Anyways I think it's hardware

I think it is implemented in software. There is a demo for using both LTE and WiFi on Galaxy S2 on YouTube already. (Search for "Energy-efficient multi-link video streaming on smartphones")
This would be REALLY nice feature to have. I actually might root for it!
Im pretty sure that it is software related, because I remember reading about an app for android that does this for you, but for the life of me can't remember the name of the app.

oh i am going to test
Any feedback? 4/5 stars on the Play Store from a N5 user.
Unfortunately I have no WiFi connection to test...
My LTE connection blows away my home Wi-Fi connection.... I don't see how I could benefit from a booster. I would think it would utilize bandwidth from my cellular data connection and not touch my Wi-Fi. Just another gimmick to pay twice as much as you need for a device imho.

YouTube and choppy videos...

Hey guys, I'm noticing choppiness at the beginning of some of my videos. From my observation it seems to only happen to the first video upon starting up the YouTube app after which most of my other videos start playing as they should. I've never experienced this on any other device, and it happens regardless of whether I'm using WiFi or 4G LTE, and I also still have my Nexus 5 for reference.

What version of the YouTube app do you have? Also try running a speed test and lowering the quality accordingly. I'm having no problem viewing 1080p video but that requires at least like a 6mbps connection which I have over lte and WiFi.
