[Q] Can't install Beautiful Widgets on Nexus S [solved]

Hi guys,
I've managed to install many applications on my Nexus S, however I just can't install Beautiful Widgets on it at all. Does anyone know if this screenshot attached can help - or can anyone point me in the right direction?

I've emailed the developers, and they say that Beautiful Widgets is indeed compatible with the Nexus S, and they develop on the Nexus S all the time.
So I don't know if it is my Google Apps account or something else that is making this difficult?!

Did you try buying it from the Market app on your phone rather than the website?
As a last resort, you can download the app market enabler and spoof it as T-Mobile USA and buy Beautiful Widgets

It definitely works on the NS but I wish I hadn't bothered as it seems really pixaly.

I've had no problems with it on mine. I use the Beautiful Home Smaller Weather widget on both my home screen and lock screen. It's pretty terrific. You might have issues with the location function, but if you do, you just have to clear the caches in any apps that use location (when I first got it, it was setting to my old apartment. I had to wipe data in BW and Maps, and it's been fine).

The OP isn't asking if the widget works on the NS or not. The problem the OP is having is buying the app from the website, unsure if he can buy it within the market app.

I can't actually find the Beautiful Widgets app in the Market app on my phone.
Even if I go to the developer's website and scan the QR code, the Market app tells me that there are no search results.
Perhaps then it is a location (South Africa) problem, and I will need to spoof it as T-Mobile USA and buy Beautiful Widgets.
I've just never rooted my phone, and if this is the case, I will need to do some more reading up on how to backup, root, recover, etc before I go any further!

It was definitely a location type problem between my phone and Google, or else a problem with Google Checkout and my credit card?
Perhaps I can't purchase any app through the Google Marketplace? I'll have to check that out further.
At any rate, I purchased the BW app through AndroidPIT and BW works perfectly!

Are you on 2.3.3 GRI54? Previously I flashed the Axura ROM and I can see almost all apps but not Fifa 10, when I go to market.android.com, it says the same thing, the app is not compatible with my phone. The developer fixed it by using back the signature GRI40 for the ROM.

My phones screwed so I can't even test it. I used a generator to convert my sites feed as a apk for mobile users.
I just want a few android users to check if my feed is being displayed in the app correctly before i submit it to the Market and publish it for users on my site.
If it opens and displays correctly a screen shot or 2 would be appreciated if possible.
The app is suppose to display a feed of recent games with play now etc options...
If this generator works than it gives me a starting point for how i eventually want the app to work.
I've added 1.0.2, I changed the feed address from my custom one to a more common feed display "Google Feed Burner"
hopefully the feed sync's correctly now

Thanks just wanted to make sure, added.

It opened fine but did not display any new feeds. Debug and loaded dummy content and they loaded fine. Hope it helps.

Can anyone post any screen shots of either 1.0.1 or 1.0.2 working

Downloaded and it worked... it asks for the user to select auto sync? Didn't have to do that it, eventually loaded the links. Looks good the images contained in the app are a bit blurry at my resolution. Hope the screenshots post and help. Good luck.

Sorry, the screen shots are from 1.0.2, but I downloaded both and they both load with the feeds. What I meant about the auto sync above is, you have it labeled "sync" or "update" in the app but its labeled "Refresh" in the menu. It was a bit confusing, but like I said, looks good, and good luck.

I didn't find this anywhere else on the forum for the latest version so i'll post this modified version of spotify that i has put together to work with landscape! Perfect for your car dock and such. The only thing i've found that doesn't work so far is the Play Now window, you can't get it up without turning the phone back to portrait. Maybe someone here know how to fix it, if so let me know!

After that you navigate to the data folder again and rename the renamed folder back to the initial name. Then all playlists, settings, and songs should still be there. Just like before!

I tried this. Playlists and settings were saved, offline songs had to be re-downloaded.

Dude, thanks for this, installed and tested the landscape rotation. Seems to be working perfectly @ all angles. Such a simple thing and the guys over at spotify don't seem to feel it's a necessity. Glad you did and took it upon yourself to fix the problem!

Edit/Update: Looks like radio isn't working on this version. I don't have premium and literally only use the mobile app for the radio functionality. Not sure when radio was added but any chance you can re-swizzle this with a version that includes radio? It does work perfectly as far as I can tell, but since I don't have premium I can't say for sure.
@jason2005: I was able to log in just fine with my Spotify creds, no need to login with facebook. But then I was a beta tester when it 1st released here in the states and never chose to link my FB account to it.

Same here, I think that will be a permanent fault due to the device level authentication codes which spotify uses when authenticating with facebook.
Use the instructions here:

to set up a username and password for spotify devices, there are a couple of hoops to jump through but it does work!

There was an error message the first time I tried, but it was on screen and off again before I could even read it. After that, on consecutive attempts to log in, nothing, just hanging on the sign in screen.

Check your internet connection, try to restart or reinstall the app. If nothing helps it is possible, that your device is not supported. What device and which Android version do you have?

Email support from DEV excellent. I found the problem was my own. I had disabled some of the services in the Google services and that's what prevented the connection. All good now. Thanks again DEV. :good:

Having a bit of trouble with the beta app, it will not accept my password, "this password is incorrect" every time.
The username and password is correct, both the windows, mac and android openvpn clients all log in ok.
The username and password log into my account on the website, there is plenty of time remaining on my subscription.
I have changed the password on my account several times, all other clients work with the new passwords.
I have talked to support chat on the website and logged in to the beta client with a test account they provided, this worked perfectly.
I have rebooted, reinstalled and updated the client, no change.
I am running android 5.1.1 (rooted stock rom) on an xperia z2
Any suggestions?

I am having the same password issues. I can log in easily in win 8.1. I can log onto the Nord VPN web site. I cannot log in using the Android app -"password not correct." I have tried two separate Android 5 devices. I have tried changing passwords, deleting and reinstalling the app, rebooting the devices, - no joy. I can't login on the Android app despite being able to log in to the Nord VPN website with the same credentials on the same Android device.
I am supposed to be beta testing this app. Difficult to do when I can't launch it.

I'm also having the issue of not being able to sign in due to the password not being recognised. Running Android 4.4.2 on Samsung Galaxy S3.
