Be more specific about at what point the phone is rebooting.
Apps
I Mean Both applications are capable of removing system apps I think why its restarting when I try to install other apps its Ok for me !
Try with Titanium Backup. Works every time. I hope this will fix your reboot issue. If not, reflash your stock rom with odin and try again.

Hey i just hard reset my device and now when i try and reinstall skype and Sktools it says that install unsuccessful when i try and install....
does anyone know whats wrong???
its a bit weird because i uninstalled both programs before hard reset, and now i dont know what to do
maybe you should specify which ROM and which device you're using.
Did you install apps to your storage card or device? Did the apps unistall properly, that is to say is there still the program folder present? If the app folder is still present, delete it, soft reset and try to install again.
I'm trying to figure out the best way to install a new rom/firmware. Here is the process I have been using to date but I'm sure there must be easier way then doing all this.
1. Reinstall firmware/rom.
2. Check recovery to see if it still works. If it doesn't reinstall it.
3. Install su through recovery if necessary.
4. Install a file manager if necessary.
5. Install titanium backup.
6. Install Apps2SD
7. Install 10 apps at a time (so memory doesn't fill up) then use apps2sd to link to SD card.
8. Check to see if everything is running smoothly. If it's not do a wipe at this point and go back to step 4.
This is a time consuming process and I'm looking for ways to improve the process. Especially at step 7. It takes forever to load the apps then link2sd. Is there another way to do this part so memory doesn't fill up? Even when I check the option to auto link it doesn't auto link when installing apps from titanium.
I don't use nandroid. I've tried it in the past and the restoration usually ends up being pretty buggy. I've spoken to a few friends and they don't do it either. i'm not sure if it's possible that I will brick my phone without doing a nandroid backup but I haven't yet.

Hi!
Apologies in advance, I don't know much about the workings of android, I just follow guides!
I'm trying out my first custom rom, namely gingerclone, and am having trouble getting all my apps back up and running...
Before installing the rom, I backed up all my apps and settings with titanium backup, so I could restore them much easier after the rom change.
Although when I tried restoring them, I had lots of force closes with titanium backup itself, and about half of my apps would immediately FC on opening and didn't have icons. I then uninstalled the problem apps manually in settings>applications, and tried installing via the market. For some apps, it worked fine, but for others, whenever I try to install from the market, my phone reboots when the download is done and it tries installing. Sometimes it won't even download and just gives me errors, and for some they will install, but will not launch, just force close. I've tried cleaning the dalvik cache with titanium backup, and deleting settings files for the problem apps from my sd card, so that as far as I can see, there is no trace of them. But still, random reboots whenever I try installing, or unopenable if I manage to get them to install.
Any idea what could be going on? Plenty of other apps have installed and are working fine, so I'm stumped.
Had the same exact problem trying to install apps with titanium backup.
what i did was just slow down and install each app one by one and wait for each app to completely install before trying to install the next.
trying to download all of them all and once always made my phone reboot like it does to yours.
well hope this helps!
Wel I ended up uninstalling them all and trying to install again from the market, but I can't even get them to install individually now. It seems like trying to restore the backup has put some rogue files somewhere and is messing it up when I try to install the apps...
I have no idea why, but everything has started working again, so problem solved :/
I don't know. That never happened with me

Hi I have a LG c800, which there is no forum for....
So... I have a rooted mytouch q slide from t-mobile. I was playing around with it and deleted some crap using one of the root uninstallers. Everything was fine but then i downloaded a new keyboard app and after playing with it...it froze. On reboot it force closes "com.android.phone" which leaves me with these barebones apps and I receive phone call (I can make phone calls...), can anybody help me fix this???
I hear that I should reflash but then I'm not sure if I can reflash with this phone can someone help me please. I need some options or advice on how to reflash, because I don't think ROM manager supports my device.
I did a factory reset but the "com.android.phone" still force closes..maybe I deleted something I shouldn't have like T-mobile setup app...so can anyone please please please suggest me something )))
Thanks
RE: How to fix com.android.phone force close
I have having the exact same issue:
force closes "com.android.phone"
Samsung Galaxy SII
AT&T
Android Version 2.3.6
kernel Version 2.6.35.7
Once the com.android.phone app force closes, the Flight mode is turned on and I get a Mobile Network not available... I turn off Flight Mode and still wait for network, then network is dropped again.
Any assistance would be huge.
vas28r13, you had unfortunately remove some files needed to correct work of the dialer. Wipe the data or do the nandroid backup (if you did them).
fuscanese, unluckily, you must wipe the data, because system have a solid crash

You need to go into recovery > advanced > FIX PERMISSIONS or download ROM Manager from the Play Store and open it and then click FIX PERMISSIONS and WAIT UNTIL ITS DONE!
Thanks if it helped!

Try wiping cache, dalvik from recovery or do a factory reset. If that doesn't work, try a custom ROM... You won't regret it!

Accidentally deleted contacts app...
I accidentally deleted the contacts app on my VTAB1008, running honeycomb, I keep on getting force closes for "android.process.acore" anyone have any idea on how to fix this?
I just installed ELEGANCIA Pegasus and everything went well until I tried to install a app.
The installer continuously says that there is not enough space when I have 800MB left in my data.
I have tried reinstalling the rom, wiping data a few times and still doesn't work.
I need to use my phone pretty urgently. Can somebody tell me a solution?
check the com.<app name>.odex file in /data/app (use file explorer to go to that path) and delete it ..then try to install it again ..it will most probably work
