I am having Samsung Galaxy Ace DUOS "SCH-I589" with
Android Version - 2.3.6
Build Number - GINGERBREAD.FA13
Kernal Version - [email protected]#1
What are the requirement's to Root this Mobile?
What is the step by step process to Root this Mobile?
if something goes wrong than
What is the process to get the mobile to its Original State?

What are the advantage's of rooting?

it take for about 1-2 hours ^^
i think first you have to download some softwares and all the stuff

Sir, i cant find a proper Root.zip file to Root my device. If you came across the file than plz inform me. I liked your Pic...LOL..

I still cannot get the file to root my mobile.

Try using superoneclick. If it doesn't work. Please reply, I will tell you another method.

Dude..grow up..understand the concepts and the methods related to android..you will as a member said..not be spoon fed..look for stuff under general android..this is not a place where people are looking to help others out..so stfu..and just do some homework..
and most likely cdma + gsm phones do not go about with just simple methods..they are complicated.
for someone to get ROOT(and not jailbreak..viz is an ios related term) there should be two basic types of experts.
ones who are willing to develop.
ones who are willing to test.
so my friend. unless there are ENOUGH PEOPLE to carry the task out it will not be easy to find a solution to rooting and upgrading (ofcourse unless you are willing to learn programming)
and for the device to be listed it should have enough popularity to be voted up to LISTING..
other devices can be found-if and only if searched properly.
use xda wiki,read, google search in xda, read, etc etc,,

I've been using Samsung Galaxy Aces Duos for some time now. Its a nice comfortable phone but whatever features it had did not interest me much. The main reason to this was not being able to root the phone. I read almost all available forums, blogs related to this but there was no specific information available. I then
randomly downloaded root files from several sites across web. Tested each of these files. While some terminated abruptly, some files gave errors like "Unable to get shell root". It was more than frustrating, not to be able to root my device. Earlier I had used applications like "Superoneclick" and "Unlock Root" etc. to root my earlier handset (Samsung Galaxy Pop SCH-I559) with ease. Even these had failed to root my new phone.
After all these trials and error, I finally succeeded in rooting my Samsung Ace Duos. If you think I used files related to Samsung Galaxy Ace, you are wrong. Samsung Galaxy Ace and Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos has different features all together. Even if the name sounds similar, nothing seemed common between the 2.
Here is a quick method on what I did to make it work.
Do backup all your content before you proceed and pls dont blame me if anything goes wrong as you are the one who wants to try it. Just a word of caution incase
The files I used are meant for GT-S6102 ( GALAXY Y DUOS), but worked well for Ace Duos
How To :
1. Download & copy the below attached "update.zip" to the root of your sdcard.
2. Turn off your phone.
3. Press & hold (Power + Volume down + Home) keys & release when the phone starts in recovery mode.
4. In recovery mode, the screen select "select update.zip from sdcard".
Remember in recovery touchscreen will not work use volume up down & home keys.
5. Select "update.zip".
6. Yes
7. Done
Similarly to Remove Root Access
1. Uninstall all [Root] apps.
2. Download "unroot.zip"
3. Do as directed above..
4. This time select unroot.zip
Update:
Busybox remover Added
Caution : Both files are related to each other, If rooted with "update.zip" from here then only use "unroot.zip"
Root: Update.zip
Unroot: Unroot.zip

is this way fits my phone or not

please somebody help me to root my new LAVA iris 454.
i am a novice in this matter. i want a thorough step by step guideline for:
1) how to make backup of my company provided ROM and how to reinstall it after 5/6 month?
2) how could i get root access of my my phone without disturbing the company fitted ROM?
3) how to install a new ROM & where should i get it?

1--> Rooting the phone.
There are two ways one is from mobile itself and other is from pc..
From mobile..: download ginger break.apk and indtall it on ur device,then root ur mobile,there are two types temporarily root and permanent root..you select which ever u need.
From pc..: download super one click and install it on pc.run it and root the mobile.(on usb debugging on mobile).
Thats all mobile rooted....
2. This to backup ur mobile..,:
Download the costum recovery (google it with u r device model).
Install recovery .apk and it asks for .img file just now downloaded ,show it where is that on ur sdcard to that recovery manager.apk.
Now u Reboot into recovery i.e, u can go to clock work mo(cmw).
At there u see backup and restore.select that,ur stock rom will be completely backed up..
It will be placed in ur sdcard.
Whenever u need u can restore it.
3: to install costum rom.
Google it with ur device modle,download it and flash in cmw ^.
Please note backup must be done to any thing...so back up..
Oooooooff tired of typing , hit thanks to refresh.

1) i am unable to find costum recovery for my lava iris 454 as you instructed"google it with u r device model". where should i found it?

I forgot to say one more thing
just download rom manager.apk, then select anything there, it asks for flashing costum recovery, it asks to select any mobile there.Ofcourse u wont be having u mobile go one by one if the rom manager say's succesfully flashed recovery.
Then say it to reboot into recovery,is it does good, orelse never think of it again till someone createz it to u...

Rooting & custom ROM for Lava iris 454
Hi,
I am using this phone from last 1 week. Before this I had nexus S.
This phone is must better than other Lava versions in this price range.
Even this is better than Micromax A110 in terms of screen resolution, ambient sensor, processing speed, battery backup, call clarity.
I can mention this because I used Micromax A100 and A110 for about 2 months.
I am not an expert but I must like to experiment with my phone.
Lava iris 454 can be rooted easily and unrooted also.
I did this multiple time on the very first day I purchased this phone.
After rooting I removed the stock demo games provided by Lava.
Now to improve battery performance, I switched off the extended core of CPU. It means I made it single core pragmatically.
This doesn't affected a single bit in performance, because I am not a game maniac all the time.
This improved battery backup about 60% than normal. I am always online on facebook, configured two emails account (15 minutes sync, push sync respectively), use Opera browser for about 2 hours a day, turn on wi-fi for about 8 hours, listen music for about 1 hour. All this exhausted battery 51% in 16 hours. Now you can imagine what a great performance is this.
I tried a lot install common recovery, but this device is not supporting at this time, or no recovery posted online for this type of device.
No custom ROM available online till this post is written.
I am expecting LAVA will provide at least JellyBean update official for this device.
I am planning install stock Jelly bean on this device, don't know what will happen after this experiment.

It runs on internet,so it asks for few devices,so select first one..if all goes correct it will flash recovery or else it gives some reasons.ignore..

installed ROM Manager Premium v5.0.2.7
if select
1) "Flash CWM Recovery"]
asks to confirm ph model-> select iris 454 -> says "it does not have an official supported CWM yet. Have u installed a cwm based recovery manually?" -> if i select "yes," 2 option comes for confirm version cmw 2.x and cmw 3.x -> after selecting one of those nothing happen.
2) Backup current ROM
displays "new backup name..." -> if i click OK the system reboot. -> in reboot process an android symbol comes and suddenly it lay down like a wounded man. -> system hangs -> removing battery makes it solve.

hey i tried every rooting method provided on this earth to root my n400 but nothing works i hve correctly installed my adb driver via pdanet... but while rooting nothing happens except several restart...
i tried

Maybe you’re upset about Iball taking up a lot of your new Slide Tab’s storage space with all of its bloatware or perhaps you want to use multi window with all of your apps, not just the ones Iball has chosen for you (for Example the built-in Vedio Player) . Either way, having root access can help. Simply follow these steps below to root your Iball Slide 6318i and then use the appropriate apps to finish off the job. This procedure should work on all Iball Slide tablets and as with all rooting procedures, you are doing this at your risks and you are voiding your warranty, But still i can ensure you 100% guarantee that you wont brick you’re device.
NOTE:- Even if you’re not satisfied with your rooted device you can UnRoot it and Get back your Tab’s warranty period.
1. Install the latest ADB Drivers for your Tablet
2. Go to Settings>Storage>USB Connection>Media Device (MTP)
3.Connect your Iball Slide to youre PC via Datacable
4.Go to Settings>Developer Options>USB Debugging

Maybe you’re upset about Iball taking up a lot of your new Slide Tab’s storage space with all of its bloatware or perhaps you want to use multi window with all of your apps, not just the ones Iball has chosen for you (for Example the built-in Vedio Player) . Either way, having root access can help. Simply follow these steps below to root your Iball Slide 6318i and then use the appropriate apps to finish off the job. This procedure should work on all Iball Slide tablets and as with all rooting procedures, you are doing this at your risks and you are voiding your warranty, But still i can ensure you 100% guarantee that you wont brick you’re device.
NOTE:- Even if you’re not satisfied with your rooted device you can UnRoot it and Get back your Tab’s warranty period.
1. Install the latest ADB Drivers for your Tablet
2. Go to Settings>Storage>USB Connection>Media Device (MTP)
3.Connect your Iball Slide to youre PC via Datacable
4.Go to Settings>Developer Options>USB Debugging
5.Download -UnlockRoot v4.1(Free Version works just fine)
6.Open the program and run as administrator
7.Click on Root and wait for the program to list your Tab (If your tab does’nt get listed REDO STEPS – 2,3,4,6)
8.Wait for the Root Button to Turn green And disconnect youre phone
9.Check your Tab for and app called Superuser. If the app is available ROOTING IS DONE !>!

unlockroot v3.31 is free one and the other v4.41 is paid one
so if you are ready to pay and buy use that one

are you on windows 7 ?
go to device manager see if the driver is properly installed
pls download the drivers from iball website only
do the steps as told in the order only
if you have installed the unlock root pls uninstall it and the drivers and start from the beganing

This is a step by step guide for people who want to restore their Acer Liquid E2 to the original state.
By following this step by step guide youl erase al your user data and previously installed apps on your device.
Youl probbably get a message after rebooting your phone because this are the stock 4.2.1 roms acer had on their websites a few weeks ago before the upgrade to 4.2.2 so if anyone has a stock rom from android 4.2.2 please feel free to PM the link so I can add it to this post
Step 1
Download following files
SP flash tool
MTK Drivers
stock rom for your device
- For Liquid E2 Duo
- For Liquid E2 Single sim EU
- For Acer Liquid E2 BE
Step 2
Unzip all files to desktop
Step 3
Install drivers if not already installed
Step 4
Run Flash_tool.exe as administrator (in folder SP flash tool)
Stap 5

Hello can someone compile the kernel source code on acer's website? I and other people need the kernel if there goes something wrong with their Acer. My phone lags constantly after tweaking my Acer liquid e2 Belgium version. After this I flashed the ROM with so flash tool but I think there is no kernel included so can please someone help me?

I'd like to root them. And install custom roms .

Hi bro I am using this phone from 1 week and now i can say that the phone is amazing at price range Rs 7999 .It is worth buying and I am sure when you purchase it you will amazed by its performance from gaming to multitasking and camera to battery backup. I played Asphalt 8, MC4,GTA San Andreas and Nova 3 at high graphics and there is not any single lag while playing. And the storage you get is 16GB inbuilt and that to at Rs 7999 .It is batter than Moto E and Micromax Unite 2 and close to Moto G . If you want to buy it , it will be available only at Snapdeal and for more reviews you can Google it .

These are the steps. Can you let me know if that worked? I want to make a tutorial if ti works. Thanks!
1. Go to http://www.towelroot.com from your phone's browser and click on the big "lambda" icon. An apk will download.
2. Install and open it.
3. After opening it, click on "make it ra1n"
4. If the root is successful, you don't have to reboot your phone. (If the root failed, you need to reboot and try again)
5. Download Root Checker and verify root access
6. If the phone has root access (Checked from Root Checker), download SuperSU by Chainfire from Play Store.
7. (Optional, but I recommend it ) If it worked, press thanks on the left (Below my profile picture)
NOTE : TowelRoot method works on all Android devices with Kernels prior to June 3rd. Check if your phone has a kernel with a date after June 3rd 2014. If I can recall correctly, the XonPhone 5 has a Kernel from July 24 2014. So, it should most probably work.

Step 1: First of all you need to get the necessary software. We need the universal ADB driver as well as the tool Root Genius. You can download both on our German mother-site here and here. Now install the ADB driver and unpack Root Genius.
Step 2: Now you have to activate USB debugging on your smartphone. For this you need to find the developer settings within your Android settings menu. If this entry is not present, tap on “about this phone” and then tap the build-number fast a few times in a row. Now the menu entry should appear.
Step 3: Now you can connect your smartphone to your computer.
Step 4: Now we are rooting the smartphone. For this you just have to open Root Genius. It should recognize your phone after a few seconds. Now you press the button “Root Now” and the process will start.
Step 5: That’s it! After the process has been completed you should reboot your smartphone. Now you can check root access with any app of your choice (root checker for example).

Unable to root my oplus by this ... It worked me one time but accidently unrooted my device.. Now it is not rooting... :crying::crying:

Did you find a way to go to fastboot mode using hardware buttons?
i m able to go to fastboot mode through adb command (adb reboot bootloader) but i have no idea of doing so using phone keys.
i tried vol down + power = factory mode
vol up + power = recovery mode
vol up + vol down + power = normal reboot
