I just got my Nexus 5 with Android 4.4 and shortly thereafter I got the OTA for 4.4.2. Everything is running smooth, but I feel like there are a few features missing.
So I started this thread to talk about what features people want in the 4.4.3 update.
Let me know what you want.
Here are mine:
1. Sound/Vibrate/Silent toggle in the quick settings panel.
2. Flashlight toggle in the quick settings panel.
3. "Quick settings bar" at the top of the notification pull down.
4. Ability to customize the quick settings panel and "quick settings bar"
I miss the notifications from locksrceen like in gingerbread days.

I've tried setting up additional users on various roms, On Carbon and Paranoid andriod I can create users but I don't see a way of switching between the users. The only thing i could find was a user toggle on the quickpanel settings but all I could get them to do was switch to the current logged in user. Is there another way to switch through users on these roms?
On ParanoidKangdroid and PACMan I was able to set up a user toggle through the power menu, which works well, however when using multiple users, my phone gets really hot. Does anyone know why the phone gets so hot?

For me i had two users and i was on the one for a second person and rebooting my phone took me back to "the owner" user
Also if you enable lock screen rotation in settings, then rotate your lock screen, you should see the user switcher circle things like on the nexus tablets at the bottom.
Figured it out on jellybam rom
I found out how to do it on jellybam ROM. go to settings > bam control > power menu > users switcher. I hope it's similar on your ROM.

I write this post because I need some information for the personalization of my nexus5 (kitkat stock rom).
I would like to customize the toggles accessible from the notifications bar.
I need to have:
-A button that allows me to enable or disable the data network (currently enters clicking in the statistics and from there I have to click the button on / off)
-A button that allows me to make 2g/3g/4g switch (sometime if i need only use whatsapp i use edge for saving battery)
Have you any suggestions?

I have root but don't think this is available unless you flash a custom ROM, I'm just praying for AKOP to release something...

Has anyone with Root access tried GravityBox Xposed app yet? That should do the trick but I don't know if they updated to 4.4 support yet.
the xposed framework doesn't work on 4.4 yet, sadly. The developer just ordered an N5, and is already looking at the issues, so hopefully we'll have an update soon.
you've already got a data toggle, press and hold the centre button which has the signal icon on it. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work exactly the same way, quick press into settings, long press toggle. Arse about face compared to others but it works.
I couldnt install either of those apps..kept getting error 920...awesome.

Im just waiting for the up to date Cyanogenmod build to be developed and released which will have fully customizable expanded quick setting tiles as standard. Its what I usually do with all my Nexus devices.

I have used the various 23 Toggle mods, battery mods etc that are available for the Note 2, S3 etc. Looking forward to these being available for the N5... but development takes time.
coming from CM on my old LG P990, this is the only thing that I'm missing ; customizable quick setting tiles.

Just use Cataclysm rom. It's pretty much stock rom with a few added options like this

I'm running totally stock and XPosed on top of it and not able to get just some couple of features which I loved from other ROMs.
- Notification Download speeds : Now, when I download something from playstore, a download notification comes on the top. When I expand that notification, it gives me the current download speeds. This was in purity ROM, if I remember correctly. Any way to get it on stock?
- notification vibration - Now when I expand any notification , it always vibrates the phone. I don't know which ROM/module had this but I would love to get that feature in stock. Any way?
- delete screenshot/video notification option : Now, I remember this was in cataclysm. When I for example do a screen shot of the phone and when I expand the notification containing that screenshot, I used to get 2 options : "Share" and "Delete". In stock rom, I don't get this. Notifications download speeds: my completely and utterly stock N5 shows download speeds for web downloads (Chrome), but not for play store because notifications are handled by the app and not the OS... Play store will only show percentage and time remaining... I guess this might be injectable with Xposed?
vibration: this already happens for me on completely stock ROM when swiping downwards (or upwards) on notifications to expand or collapse...
Screenshot: I get "share" on completely stock with a screenshot but not delete. Seems like this might be one you're likely to get externally...

Yes, I'm guessing purity has modified playstore then. Vibration part is that I want vibration to not happen, not the other way around. Delete option - can't find it anywhere at XDA. I hope some dev sees this.

I'd be surprised if Purity did modify the play store itself; the modification would be undone every time the play store updates itself... It's more likely they might have modified the notifications or injected something between vending and systemui?

Probably. I'm sure purity won't give the support for a Xposed module for that. Let's see if this thread get's any attraction from some dev.

Select which side you want then reboot.

Unfortunately, you can't get rid of all of the green. If you go into themes and choose the middle one, it will blue a lot of it, but not the Quick settings. :crying:
You can put a custom wallpaper on the lockscreen, but first you MUST enable use lockscreen gestures. Go to Settings>Lockscreen. Check Use lockscreen gestures>build gestures. It will ask you to set an unlock gesture. Set it and test it. (You can also set tons of other actions through gestures).
After you know the unlock gesture works, go to themes, swipe left to mix >Lockscreen Wallpaper>Others.. Pick and set.
After the custom wallpaper is set, You must use the unlock gesture from now on... If you use the unlock bubble,your phone will force restart.

Sorry.. I didn't even test that. I never lock my phone, I just tested it out. The pattern, PIN and password all work fine. The voice unlock doesn't set up properly.
Just so you know, I will have an AOSP 4.2.2 up and running soon if you want to check that out too.

As the title says, Is There Any 6.0 Marshmallow ROM With Quick Settings Tile Configuration Yet? By configuration I'm talking about selecting which tiles you want to appear in quick settings, and adjusting the order of said tiles. Also the ability to disable the brightness slider in quick settings. Is there such a ROM yet, it's been quite awhile since Android M source was dropped so I'm wondering if ROMs have progressed to the point where we can select which tiles show in quick settings. Thanks.

Current builds of Android 6.0.1 has that feature to add few more new tiles, but still that is buggy.
Don't install Gravitybox and try it, because your system will keep on crashing.
I suggest you to wait for a week and you'll get that configuration.
In lasted build of sultan's ROM, there is QS Config feature, but I guess it is buggy.

Check VM13 and S-AOSP in Development Section. I'm using S-AOSP and its awesome.
I'm on Ressurection Remix ROM right now and it's possible (doesn't look that stable yet though).
