As per my information there is not a difference between the recovery. But actually I have not tested it on i8260 you can test it if it worked tell me if not I will give you stock recovery so that if any problem comes you can flash stock recovery back. But only thing you will need is odin.

sarath280,
I have the galaxy mega 6.3 i9200 and am already rooted. I know nothing is guaranteed but I want to know, generally speaking, should the cwm recovery in your post work for my phone or are they specifically built for specific phones and will only work on the phone it was custom made for?

I tried flashing CWM through Odin, its not working.
http://s23.postimg.org/53as4lcgb/CWM.jpg
Thats how recovery looks with provided CWM.
So i flashed back to default recovery, and only tried to install UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.34.zip through default recovery.
http://s13.postimg.org/lexoh9div/IMG_20130623_WA0012.jpg
While installing it i got some errors which i could not capture.
I checked to see if phone was rooted, but its not.

CWM is not compatible i think with mega 5.8. Passed flashing odin but when I enter CWM i just cant read the screen. Its like an old defective TV look. Hope you can give us a CWM for our Mega 5.8

Go into recovery and do a factory reset. Clear cache and Dalvik cache. Restart. It should boot now, but take care because this means losing your data.
